They say Rafe Hunter is trouble with a capital T.I say–bring it on.As long as Trouble comes in a package as delicious as Rafe’s, I’m ready to climb on his Harley and ride all night long–and I’m not just talking about his motorcycle.I can hide out until the scandal with my evil ex blows over AND have a wild rebound at the same time. Besides, I’ve got no heart left to break. My ex made sure of … to break. My ex made sure of that.
As long as Rafe and I keep our no-strings fling from our families, what can possibly go wrong?

This is so damned wrong.
I don’t do drama, and this thing with Carrie Haverford has Bad News written all over it. After one red-hot kiss, I know I should cut and run.
Instead I take her home, take her in her car, take her to the beach and make her scream louder than the crashing waves. And then I take her so far into my heart I don’t see how I’m ever going to let her go.
The say the bigger and badder they are, the harder they fall. But when I fall for a girl with third degree love burns, how can I convince her that fire is a good thing?
This sexy Standalone romance will make you laugh, melt, and fall madly in love.

If it was possible to give this book more than five stars, I would it give to Rafe and Carrie. The Troublemaker is funny, flirty, and frisky. The chemistry between Rafe and Carrie was dynamic. I seriously had a hard time putting the book down.
When I read The Baby Maker I was already half in with the Hunter clan. After reading The Troublemaker, Ms. Valente not only did this character justice, she seriously makes it even easier to love the baby boy with a protective armor and a tender heart. But let’s not forget the Haverford women. It seems these ladies know how to tame the heart of the Hunter men.
I really thought Lili Valente couldn’t outdo The Motherpuckers series. I was wrong! This series is not only rising to the top of my list of favorites, it knocked the sexy hockey players out the arena. What, what?! It did. Now I can wait for the next one.. and hopefully the next, next one.
This is a MUST read. Grab it now!
Absolutely loved this book. And I completely adore Rafe and Carrie. I can’t get enough of these books, I wish they were longer! I’m just starting this series and I’m already dreading when they’re going to be done.
Well done Ms Valente!!!
The Troublemaker is Lili Valente’s next sexy and fun standalone. You do not have to read The Baby Maker to enjoy this story but if you did then you have already met this couple. Rafe is Dylan’s half-brother and Carrie is Emma’s sister. We got a little preview of them at the end of The Baby Maker, thank you, Lili for their story so quickly.
Carrie was trouble. Rafe knew this from the minute he saw her. She is beautiful, sexy, has a wild side and totally off-limits. He didn’t do relationships and having a one-night stand with your new sister-in-law’s sister is not the way to welcome her to the family. It could be awkward as fuck. At least she was only there for the wedding then she would be going home an hour and half way.
Carrie wanted Rafe like her next breath but she knew he was right. It would be a bad idea. She had enough scandal surround her after what her douchebag ex did. That why exactly why she was hiding in Sonoma County instead of at her place in Berkeley. Her name was in the papers, news, and TMZ. He was trying to ruin her writing career and reputation. She won’t let him but she needs to stay low.
Rafe was a no-drama kind of guy. He would usually just walk away from a woman who was in the middle of it but this was Carrie. He wanted to make her feel better. To let her talk freely without judgement. Which led to making her even more dangerous. He wanted her. She wanted him. They both knew it. They both didn’t do love. So why not have an under the covers fling why she was in hiding? They were two consenting adults with needs. As long as it stays no-strings attached they were good. Hot sex. No love. Easy.
Haha! These two. Motorcycle rides. Hot nights. Long talks. Getting closer. Will their fling turn into more? Will the scandal affect her career? Will their family find out about them? What will they think?
I liked Rafe when I first meet him but now I have fallen. He is so fucking delicious. He has the bad boy going but under it all he is a sweetheart. Carrie is the perfect match for him. She hides her feelings just as hard. Together, they are not only so damn hot but they are fun, and emotional too.
Overall…I would ride on the back of Rafe’s bike any day of the week. I would also read one of Carrie’s books! I am looking forward to the next book. You will get the preview and damn…
Quotes:
“You have the prettiest mouth, Valentine.”
She snorts. “Desperate, huh? I’m not the one with a semi, buddy.”
“That’s not a semi, I’m just hung like a horse,” I say, fighting a smile.
“Care to duck behind one of those buildings and let me call your bluff?”
“Fine, I admit it. So what should we do about this mutual addiction? You think we need a twelve-step program?”
fun read
I enjoyed this book, the characters were good. I will continue with the last book in the series
Rafe and Carrie’s Story
Rafe and Carrie met by default when their siblings (Dylan and Emma) got together. Carrie was a popular children book author who found herself in the middle of a scandal caused by her ex-boyfriend and Rafe owned a brewery/motorcycle shop with Dylan. They were both attending Dylan and Emma’s wedding when Carrie’s scandal made headlines. Rafe, not being one to care much for rumors and viewing things differently than other people, felt bad for Carrie and looked out for her by becoming a friend; providing a temporary escape from everything that was going on. Rafe and Carrie both had mommy issues in a sense. Rafe didn’t believe in relationships because his mother left them. Carrie had an unstable relationship with her own mother. They both a lot more in common than they thought and the more they spent together, the more they found themselves falling for each other.
I love the Hunter Brothers and I enjoyed this book, but I wanted more. Carrie was a much stronger character than we got to see. I hated that she went through what she went through with her ex-boyfriend especially after learning more about he past and what she went through then. I wish we would’ve gotten a little more as far as seeing the ex suffer harsher consequences. I also would have loved to see Dylan and Emma’s reaction when they found out about Carrie and Rafe. I am a huge Lili fan and I love all here books. I love reading more about the Hunter brothers and seeing where some past fave characters are now.
This is a fun follow up to The Baby Maker. Rafe’s brother has married Carrie’s sister. Both of them are wary of relationships, but when Carrie’s world is turned upside down by an ex, she decides that a fling with Rafe might be a fun distraction. While both of them think they can keep each other in the friends with benefits zone, of course their relationship becomes more. Great fun read, not real mentally taxing.
The Troublemaker by Lili Valente is the second standalone romance surrounding the Hunter brothers and the women that bring them to their knees (in the best way). Told in dual POV between Rafe Hunter and Carrie Haverford, this story is a standalone romance complete with a happily ever after.
Rafe Hunter is NOT interested in his Sister-In-Laws sister. Not at all. not even a little bit. That would be weird, right? Nope – Not her sexy body, firecracker attitude, none of it draws him in and leaves him wanting. His brother’s wedding to her sister is NOT the time to get up close and personal with every inch of Carrie Haverford’s gorgeous skin.
Carrie is escaping from the world. Her ex really did a number on her. Not just her emotions but on her career too. Some “distraction” with her hunky brother-in-law’s brother sounds like just the flirt of danger she needs. Rafe is too good-looking to want to pass up but starting anything with him will mean years of future awkwardness at family gatherings. So NOT worth it, right? Well… How bad could it be – they are both adults.
What neither Rafe nor Carrie expected was the connection they shared. The sizzle. The chemistry. Botha re serious commitment-phobes who have managed to find the one person that makes them want to change that fact – for each other. Well-paced and well-written as always this sexy steamy read has all the emotional high points and a bit of angst woven in for depth. Loved it! Enjoy!
This book was so much fun! Flirty, funny, hot and sexy, Rafe & Carrie will make you smile, laugh and even make you blush! I love their sexy banter and they have such smoldering chemistry they can’t keep their hands or anything else off each other. Neither of them wants a relationship but they sure as heck want each other so they decide to have a fling but keep it a secret since their siblings are married and they don’t want things to be awkward. This of course leads to the teepee of silence which is probably the hottest teepee I’ve ever heard of. These two are so hot and steamy together!! So of course once ends up not enough for either of them and as they continue to secretly see each other, feelings eventually step into the mix. I love watching them fall for each other as it just seems to happen organically and it’s beautiful. They really are so good for each other. The storyline of what Carrie is going through professionally is really good too and I love how Rafe ends up backing her up so she can put an end to what that tool Jordan is doing to her. I laughed when Rafe chases him!
I also love that we get some scenes with Dylan & Emma’s little baby Mercy. There is just so much to love about this story!! And that last chapter has me so looking forward to Tristan’s book next. It’s going to be great!
