“Whoa! I’m shook–emotionally and physically–from this sensational romance. K.k. Allen has outdone herself with The Trouble with Gravity. With her silky-smooth style and unique storyline, this enemies to lovers journey is one of my favorite reads of 2019.” USA Today Bestselling Author, Harloe RaeKai’s life is a series of choreographed steps, each one shielding her from the tragic memories of her … tragic memories of her past. Audition, dance, paycheck, repeat. It’s a broken record, but it’s what keeps her world spinning.

I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review.
KK Allen has done it yet again with the Trouble of Gravity. This enemies to lovers standalone novel is part of the Gravity series and is probably my favorite one to date. Kai and Sebastian are everything.
From the very beginning, you are roped in to Kai’s backstory, watching as she continues to pick herself up, no matter what life throws her way. And then there comes Sebastian and all of his angst and turmoil from his own past, and when their paths collide, its volatile and explosive in a way that is unmatched in any way.
At first, you really want to hate Sebastian but as the book goes on, you can’t help but fall for him. He is everything that Kai never knew she needed, and she is everything he never thought he would need after what happened to him.
The links throughout the book to the dances that are performed are breathtaking and gorgeous. Only KK Allen can deliver a book that gives just as good as it gets. I was blown away by every performance she featured. It is probably one of my favorite things about her books.
All in all, Sebastian and Kai will have you melting as their chemistry and character dynamic is off the chart. You can’t lose when you read this book.
Five beautiful stars for this gorgeous read!
Another great book based around Gravity Dance Centre. This one tackles two lessons, things are not always as they appear and facing your deepest fears. I loved Kai she had a feisty fierceness and was very down to earth.
Sebastian was misunderstood, trying to mend damage from his past. However he followed his prior behaviour patterns, he was angry, rude but endearing at the same time. He needed a Kai in his production but she had a huge barrier blocking her path. Sebastian had a persuasive way and he was persistent until she came around.
Kai was about to be homeless, jobless and needed divine intervention to show her which path to take. Unfortunately the path she was given was a rough one, she’d have to face her anxiety and strip herself bare for the world to see. When Kai is offered a seven month position, she’s elated until she is given the details. With Sebastian’s guidance she finds strength and steady footing. The world works in mysterious ways and maybe this is the sign she has been waiting for.
Kai has a heartbreaking past, but her present life is fixed to shield her from it. Then she meets Sebastian, the jerk who sprays her with water right before her latest audition. But of course all the antagonism between them is just masking the deep attraction, and soon, more than just attraction. But, Sebastian will have to choose soon: Kai or the show that’s his everything, and his last way at back into the theater life he loves so much.
Damn…I love The Trouble with Gravity! It’s heartfelt and heartbreaking. Kai and Sebastian are both hiding some seriously damaged souls, so with each other, they found some peace, some healing. I’m going to remember them and their story for a long time to come…
Kai experiences the unthinkable at the age of 8 causing her day to day life to be altered drastically. Living in Hawaii her fears rule her life. Somedays we all need someone who pushes us to go and face our fears.
Enter the bad boy of Broadway “Bash” Sebastian.
Sebastian needs Kai to make his production the best it can be but must help her overcome her fear. Sparks start to fly, tempers begin to flare and true move begins to blossom.
What happens when the dancing island girl falls for the bad boy? Tears, joy and all of the emotions come forward.
The Trouble With Gravity is another ground shaking addition to KK Allen’s Gravity series. Kai and Sebastian sucked me in from the first word and kept me up way past my bedtime several times. I’m struggling to even find the words to express how much I loved this story! It’s just WOW! The emotions, the dancing, the heart. It all bleeds off the pages in an honest and real way. This was the perfect book to start my 2020 reading off with!
I voluntarily received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Oh, where do I start with this book?! First, you have the strong and outspoken heroine (girl power!) And then, the sexy and broody bad boy rockstar (swoon!). Add in their witty banter and the sexy times (fans self) and I was sunk!! Kia and Sebastian’s story pulled me in all directions. It’s been awhile since I’ve been so conflicted while reading a book. I would get so frustrated with them and shaking my head but then things would turn around and I would be all smiles. I’ve loved every book in this series, each one pulled on my heartstrings and this story was no exception.
When I started reading The Trouble with Gravity I didn’t know what to expect of this book… yet already after a few pages I knew this book was something special. It was much more different than I expected. The whole storyline was just so much deeper and more meaningful than I could have ever imagined. I fell totally in love with Kai and Sebastian. Their love story is just so heartbreakingly beautiful!
The Trouble with Gravity is raw and emotional. Kai and Sebastian were two lovely and passionate characters. I loved reading their story. Their passion for dance and music, and their love and dedication to it was just utterly beautiful to read. It’s everything you could wish for.
KK Allen created an amazing story with The Trouble with Gravity. It’s characters and their story is just beautiful! Definitely another epic romance.
I am loving KK Allen’s “Gravity” series. The Trouble with Gravity was no exception! Kai and Bash’s story was extremely powerful. Two individuals, both fighting their own demons with the tallest of walls built around their hearts. They had an undeniable “pull” from the very beginning and slowly righted all the wrongs and conquered their fears, together. And I can’t forget to mention how much I love the interactive parts of each Gravity book, it truly brings the story to life right in front of your eyes!! #nothingbutloveforKK
I loved this book. It goes on my all time favorite book list! I love how K.K. Allen takes readers on this incredible journey! It is filled with life lessons of how to face your fears, be honest and love hard.
Both Kia and Sebastian are broken for different reasons in life. Their connection is so intense and real. Kia is a dancer in Sebastian’s musical. They are drawn to each other but build a friendship because they didn’t want to cross the line with work and a relationship.
There are incredible supporting characters and storylines throughout the book. I could put it down. As Kia learns to face her fears and Sebastian helps, it is a beautiful story. So well written. It is a powerful book. Kia and Sebastian have intense chemistry that develops into something everyone wants. They fight and banter and bring out the best and worst in one another. As Sebastian faces his own issues, he sees Kia’s strength and fights for her love.
I cannot say enough incredible words about this book except… go read it now. It takes your breathe away!
K.K. Allen kicked 2020 off with a BANG and I am so FREAKING excited to see what this year has to hold when it comes to her writing career, especially if she continues to bring us stories as AMAZING as this one. The GRAVITY series (that does not involve Aliens by the way…since there is so much debate about that lately. FUNNY INSIDE JOKE TO ALL OF HER FANS!) is one of my favorite series of all-time and just when I think it couldn’t get any better, it does…EVERY TIME!
The Trouble with Gravity was absolute perfection and had me hook, line and sinker the entire time. My heart was swooning while I inhaled every word and my goodness did I find myself falling head over heels in love with these characters. Their witty back and forth banter was EVERYTHING that you would want in this enemies-to-friends-to-lovers romance. Their chemistry set my heart on fire and I couldn’t get enough of them!
Kai is a strong and independent woman who finds herself trying to overcome a tragic childhood experience when she gets the role of a lifetime. What she doesn’t expect is to find herself taking a chance, even if it terrifies her. Sebastian might be labeled the Bad Boy of Broadway, but sometimes things aren’t always as they seem. All he wants to do is make it through one last run of Angst and Grace with no complications, but unfortunately life doesn’t always work out as one would hope. Together these two learn that sometimes you can find what you need, even if you aren’t necessarily looking for it.
I absolutely love KK Allen and will devour anything she writes and I was thrilled when I got Kai and Sebastion’s story. A classic enemies to lovers romance the best part for me was the way their love story develops – the banter between the these two characters was fantastic and the drama that enfolds kept me in the story. We also get to revisit some old friends from the previous Gravity books which I love as well.
If you are looking for a new author to start 2020 then KK Allen is a great one! And I promise the Trouble with Gravity will be one you won’t put down or soon forget.
Everything was musical in this story. The push and pull between Kai and Sebastian almost felt like strings on a violin. I have no dance ability, but even without watching the dance videos I could feel it. The story dipped and flowed and ramped up again, especially with Sebastian and Dirk. I loved there was doubt and resistance, at first. Then Kai and Sebastian started to loosen the strings and start to rely on each other, like a dance. He helped her to embrace her first love, and she helped tell his truths and stand up for all that was right.
This is a great series set in the world of dance. Every story has covered a different dancer from the Gravity dance center. What’s really nice is always catching up with past couples in each book also.
Kai and Sebastian were like mixing oil and water at first, but their attraction to one another and constant close proximity had them giving in to that attraction in a very nice way. There are undertones of loss and insecurity for both characters. Working through not so perfect times brings more meaning to the story and their artistry.
I still loved the continued extra links to see the dancing going on throughout and makes these stories unique. This series brings the world of dance alive for the reader.
Another fantastic and easy to read sexy romance from KK Allen! Sebastian is the epitome of the badboy hero and Kai is absolutely one of the sweetest heroines I have ever read. These two went together like oil and water, but when they mixed it was FIRE!
I have absolutely loved this Gravity series from KK Allen, and this book was no different. It is always fun and refreshing to revisit favorite characters, and they added to this story. But Kai held this book on her own. She was a force. Timid at times, yet sassy and strong at others. She had survived tragedy but forced herself to face her demons and follow a path that could either make or break her dreams. I was rooting for her every step of the way. And when she soared – I wanted to stand up and cheer for her.
Kai & Sebastian’s chemistry and connection was both steamy and hot, and sweet and passionate. The softer side of Sebastian that we saw when he was with Kai was so swoon-worthy, and I loved every moment he protected and adored her.
If you love bad boy heroes and angsty romance, then this one is for you!! Well done once again KK Allen!
This was my first K.K. Allen book and now I am kicking myself and wondering why I haven’t made time to read her work before now. The Trouble with Gravity is an enemies-to-lovers book that hooked me from the beginning. It not only has the friends-to-lovers aspect but it has angst, loss, and a passion that a reader will love. A bad boy who will make the reader swoon and a sweet-as-pie leading lady who is not only sweet but a strong as hell woman. A must read!
This is perfection! OMG! Where do I begin? For some reason I started backwards and read book 3 first. No worries, though. This book is a standalone and I still felt like I didn’t miss a thing.
This is also my first K.K. Allen book and I LOVED it so much!
Kai and Sebastian are two tattered ships barely coasting on troubled waters until fate gives them a helping hand, and forces them to crash into each other. HARD. The sudden collision isn’t amicable in the least. No. This talented young dancing queen, and strapping Hot Aussie theatre exec’ spit fire at each other like two hangry dragons fuming with ire. The good kind y’all. The kind that’s hot. Burning. Smokey yummy filled lust combusting them to smithereens. They can’t help, or prevent the sparks flying. The tension building between them. They’re one chaotic ‘hot’ mess together that’s oh-so-good! Explosive. Dynamite igniting. I felt the chemistry. Felt their losses. Their pain. But in the end felt the love sweeping over them. It wasn’t pretty at times, but it was their story. Their love. Their passion for each other that kept me glued to this story. Do yourself a favor and add this fabulous book to your TBR; or download it now. Kickback and enjoy! This book is what YOU need in your life! Happy reading!

Their banter was everything…
Oh, don’t get me wrong. The sizzle between Kai and Bash was amazing too. The passion they had for their artistic careers spilled into every minute of their courtship so it was little wonder their relationship mirrored its highs and lows…
Theirs was a world of creativity, music and dance. The drama was beyond delicious as it simmered and bubbled through every page and chapter. For someone who hides from any type of drama when I’m reading, I can’t believe how addicted I am to this author’s Gravity stories. Kai and Bash’s courtship was hip-deep in tension and conflict and I savoured every word. What I will remember even more are the incredible conversations, the biting repartee, which was simply amazing between them. Snarky, funny, soul-searching, they were frenemies that fought each other while also watching each other’s back…
I can’t recommend Kai and Bash’s story enough – one of my favourites in a year of great reading!

KK Allen is an author I stumbled upon last year when I first was gifted my kindle unlimited subscription, and my goodness am I so glad that I found her. Her words completely captivate me, and I’m immersed in the world that only she can create.
I absolutely adore the dance world KK has created with her Gravity novels, and this was no exception. I connected with Kai so fiercely from the very first page; the tragedy she endured at such a young age, how she rose from that even when life kept kicking her down, was inspiring. I genuinely wish she was a real person so I could befriend her.. I loved her that much.
When Kai auditions to be apart of a Broadway production, and on her way there, she runs into a troublemaker on a motorcycle, and thus starts a glorious enemies to lovers romance!
Sebastion was an equally loveable character! A musical prodigy beyond his years, he’s been dubbed the bad boy of Broadway. Forced to work with a director that he hates, the last thing he expects is to be affected so intensely by the sweet, yet firery woman in pink tights.
Kai and Sebastian are one of my absolute favorite characters this author has created! Their connection and chemistry leapt off the page, and even (and especially) when Sebastian was being a pain in the ass, Kai knew there was more to him that he showed, than he probably even knew himself. I loved everything about their relationship: how he convinced her to be apart of the show, how he helped her find her love again for the sea, how she made him whole .. everything was just magical. They completed each other in a way they didn’t realize was possible, and I loved just how pure their feelings for one another is. Even though Sebastian initially fought it, I just loved how much he loved her.
This book itself was pure magic, and I can’t wait to see what else this amazingly talented author comes out with next!!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!!**
5 STARS
This book was such an EPIC read! Kai and Sebastian had off the charts chemistry, even when they disliked each other in the beginning. You see how both overcome their issues and the battles that they face by finding what they need in each other.
This book is a standalone in the Gravity series. The Trouble with Gravity will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
This book of K.K. Allen is honestly amazing. The characters Kai and Sebastian have so much depth to them.
The author‘s writing is as in all of her books great and you can and want to read it all in one sitting. Her storytelling is also very good and she always has great backstorys for ger characters.
Kai and Sebastian are a match made in heaven. Both of them have troubeling pasts that come to haunt them in the present and they always turn out to be very shocking and I never expected them.
The side characters where executed very well and I loved to get a few scene of the old crew interacting with the new characters.
I wish the author could write alot more books in this world because it is so unique and great it.
I love the incorporation of music videos in her books because it gives the reader more perspectives and more to enjoy in this series.
