Life often doesn’t lead us down the path we plan for. The author did a wonderful job of showing Kayla how to turn to the Lord to guide her footsteps. The story, full of twists and turns, left me wanting to see how Kayla would fair in the end. I won’t give away any spoilers but an unexpected event kept me glued to the pages until I finished the whole book. If you like stories that mimic real-life situations you’ll love The Trespasser. I know I did!
Thank God for His direction and provision. 5 stars
An english woman attempts to find father ofher child, instead falls inlove with Amish widower and overcomes obsticles to become Amish. A very good book.
Great story about a young mother and her daughter in a storm and find an abandoned house for shelter. They find many changes for their lives.
Kayla Johnson goes on a cross country trip heading to Pennsylvania to try and find the father of her little girl Bailey. The Midwest storms in Indiana sideline her and put her on the path of Amish man, Silas Miller. Little does she know how much faith she will need in order to figure out where her live will go. This is a wonderful Amish romance with well written and lovable characters.
This is a sweet, simple, inspirational story. Good characters. Quick easy read. I liked it and recommend it for everyone.
I like the way that the writer reminds you of Gods Grace and forgiveness and how the story enfolds with a lot of emotion that you also feel like you experienced thhe same sorry that turns into happiness. It’s like you learn how to deal with some situations in your own life. The precioous words of wisdom that flows out of the writers pen.
I really enjoyed this book and was glad for the happy ending in spite of a surprise near the end!
I enjoyed following the characters through their ups and downs. Easy read.
A lovely Amish story. Wonderful characters and refreshing storyline.
Sweet
I like to read for relaxation and entertainment from time to time. This book’s characters were realistic and there is a little twist in the beginning. I love reading Amish related stories for the dedication to their families, the community and God. Forgiveness, friendship and commitment were well woven into this story.
This is a great book.
I loved this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It goes to show just how small the world really is when God is moving in your life.
Easy, enjoyable read
A brief look at Amish, becoming Amish and a wholesome love story.
Delightful! Ms. Spredemann’s many quotes from The Bible and use of verses helps the reader grow their faith while reading this delightful story about a young couple lead by Silas’s strong faith in Gott leading ones life path. Kayla and Silas have a wonderful journey in love and life. I am anxious to read more in this series.
This is a sweet story of finding a place to call home. I immediately had sympathy for Kayla and her young daughter. Kayla’s search for home and family seems to be derailed by storms and flooding, yet she finds that even though she thinks God has no use for her, He’s been leading her to exactly where she needs to be. Silas is a great example of extending the love of Christ to others even when they may be “different” from us.
This book has a wonderful storyline. I read the whole book in one setting, as I just couldn’t find a good place to stop reading. My only complaint about this book was that I would have liked for it to have been longer. It works very well in novella length, but I wanted to keep reading about these characters.
I am encouraged after reading this book to remember God’s guidance in my own life and to recognize once again that He’s working all things for my good.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All opinions are my own.
The Trespasser is a truly inspiring story written by Jennifer Spredemann in her new series, Amish Country Brides. With this being the lead off story to open the series the author has done an amazing job not only developing just the right collection of characters but also writing a story that will leave the reader wanting more. The storyline moves along at a great pace and will keep your interest until the end of the story. The characters are warm, loving, and devoted to God.
Kayla Johnson and her daughter Bailey are on a road trip to Pennsylvania when a torrential downpour starts making driving difficult. Seeking directions and shelter from the storm Kayla finds herself at an unoccupied house. When caretaker of the house, Silas Miller, arrives he discovers that someone is in the house. Which one was more shocked remains to be seen. This starts a truly endearing story as Kayla reveals who she is. Silas is absolutely certain that Der Herr is leading him on his chosen path but it is not one without difficulties. This amazing story is full of forgiveness, love, and faith as well as a plot twist toward the end. I enjoyed all the references to scripture throughout the story. The author has written another intriguing and inspirational story.
I did accept an arc ebook from this author to read in advance of the release. I was not approached by anyone to post a favorable response just an honest one. I have rated this story with five stars for meeting my expectations an amazing story that I can highly recommend to others.
Congratulations to Jennifer Spredemann on writing a truly inspirational book involving the Amish for all readers enjoyment. This book is a positive start to another enjoyable series.
