Fun con man storyline. With depth and ingenuity. Enjoyable read.
I thought the idea of husband and wife con team was a different approach. The three scenarios were different enough to keep my interest. The author told things as they really, very little left to the imagination. I would read more of these two and the duties they get into. It’s all about the money to them but they are willing to do whatever it takes to get it. I liked the stories.
Bizarre. Loved it!
Suspenseful story about com artists which becomes graphic at times. Good story line ,very original idea for a book. It was well written, grabbed you from the first few pages, impossible to put down.
It was an interesting story and not as fictional as one might think. There are real characters like those in this book!
Tangled plot full of anti-heroes
I really enjoyed the twists and turns that Michael P King put into this book about a couple of con-artists and their not so everything goes alright cons. But, it was more than just people pulling cons, it was also about betrayal, trust, and of course, the strength of love. The characters were delightfully sinful and fun as they practiced their trade with precision until they were often forced to go with plan B or even C or even just wing-it. But the surprises this reader did not fully expect were what kept this a page turner from beginning to end. This is a voluntary review of the book from Advanced Read.
Didn’t quite finish the book. It just didn’t hold my attention and seemed laborius to get through. Many would probably like it.
Criminals are the good guys. Stopped reading after 2 of the stories.
Not well written and the plot is hackneyed
Trashy
I was disappointed with this book. It isn’t really a book, but two short stories linked together. There is no build up for anything, the story just races along at breakneck speed. I had no affiliation or connection for any of the characters, which created a vacuum instead of tension.
Awful. Removed it after suffering through 60%. Like taking medicine!
Violence too graphic
I can’t say this would be one of my favorite reads. It was a little weird or maybe I should say different.
Too much foul language.
Recommended only if you enjoy stories of how vicious and morally bankrupt con artists lie, cheat and murder other violent criminals [and oh, by the way, slaughter innocent people along the way. There is no mystery, no humor, no characters worth a damn, no description of place. It did have some unbridled brutality, along with an overabundance of clothing descriptions, as if that could compensate for its lack of meaningful plot.
Almost impossible to follow this book. I couldn’t even finish it.
I found the book interesting and different, but it was overly complicated and hard to follow. So many crooked characters out to screw each other over. I’m glad I read it, but not interested in reading more. I like twists and turns but just too convoluted for my tastes.
Not that good.
