Can you pinpoint a time in your life where you realized you are completely and utterly screwed?
I can. I got the dreaded phone call, the one every baseball player hopes and prays never comes.
I was traded. Yeah, that phone call.
Traded from my long time team of over ten years. And not just to any team, but my childhood rivals; the Chicago Rebels.
Completely and utterly screwed, right? Wrong. … utterly screwed, right? Wrong. The trade was the least of my concerns.
I met a girl. Natalie. Man, she’s perfect.
I swore I would never get involved with anyone during the season. Too complicated. But can you believe I have zero restraint when it comes to this girl? I couldn’t get her out of my head and the more I talked to her, the more I realized I needed her in my life.
So what’s the problem? Why am I screwed? Because, Natalie, the girl I can’t stop crushing on, yeah . . . she’s married.
At least, that’s what I was told . . .

Truthfully this story had me at Sports Romance, one of my ALL TIME FAV. Thos a new author to me and she did a good job taking me into the intense world of baseball.
Cory has many swoon worthy characteristics and I love him for most of this book. Ugh when he messes up though he messes up in a BIG way. See if you would be as forgiving as Natalie.
Natalie I love. She is tough but supportive. She is full of heart and definitely fearless in her love for and understanding of Baseball. When she connects with Cory, all I can say is, “HOT”!
Don’t want to give anything away other than to say this is a good read. If you are into and love hot alpha males living in the sports world, well this is the book fro you. Happy Reading Everyone!
Flipping heck! Just do it already! It broke my heart watching these two gorgeous people (inside and out) have so many self esteem issues. The sexual tension between Cory and Natalie was like a rocket to the moon, it was so high. I was on tender hooks for the majority of the story. Will they, won’t they. And then came the tears. Yes I cried. Lots of emotions. Poor Cory. Poor Natalie. Blooming stubborn, the pair of them. Then we have Jason. I love Jason. He’s the best brother ever. I love this group of baseball players and their family and friends. All standalones that intermingle. Wonderfully written stories that are fun, emotional, and above all entertaining. Keep ‘em coming Ms Quinn. You’ve made a baseball fan out of me. I received an advanced copy of this book. This is my honest review.
When you read a lot of Meghan Quinn books, you know you are addicted to her banter, humor and just great stories. This story was just perfect for me to read when i did, after so many dark romance, this book had the light I needed and the humor to laugh and had my heart beating again. Cory and Natalie’s story it’s about the baseball star and a woman that recently divorced, making the plot line more interesting and hilarious as ever.
10 HOME RUN STARS!! My favorite Book of the year so far!! Meghan Quinn hit this one out of the park for a perfect score. This book had all feels, kept me on the edge of my seat with angst and excitement. Cory and Natalie’s chemistry was off the charts….these two had so much fun banter, sexiness and needed each other to be complete. I love baseball story and this authors puts the right amount of baseball to make it real as you read. You definitely need to read this book, so go ahead and download now and enjoy.
I have been excitedly waiting for Cory’s book. I mean, have you heard the greatest question of all time “Who’s on first?”. We all have the best answer now, it’s Cory Potter!!
He had me swooning so hard I thought my heart would explode. He and Natalie had a chemistry that started the second their eyes met. The relationship that they have with their siblings hits me in the feels hard. The banter and chemistry in this book were flawless, between the main characters, the friends and the siblings. It was like “listening’ to a conversation of someone you know. They were fun and playful but when the moment called for it, they were serious and supportive. I adore the way Meghan writes her characters. The couple and romance are obviously the main plot, but she always includes these secondary characters that are such wonderful friends and family that you fall for those relationships just as hard.
My feels were a hot mess at times because giggles were happening but there were also times I had a tear in my eye and my own inner monologue was telling these 2 to just listen to me but of course they didn’t which led to a lump in my throat and tightness in my chest. I loved Corey Potter so hard. He’s my new favorite baseball player, no matter who he gets traded to.
I’m in love with this series. And who can resist a man who has it bad for the heroine straight off the bat (sorry for the pun)? Fun. Charming. And hot!
