The ENTIRE four book Trackers series in one boxset: Over 1300 Five Star Amazon Reviews and 1500 pages of post-apocalyptic survival fiction and action. Ripped from the headlines, the explosive Trackers saga is a realistic depiction of what an EMP attack and the aftermath might look like from one of the genre’s leading voices, USA Today bestselling author and former Homeland Security Disaster … former Homeland Security Disaster Mitigation Officer, Nicholas Sansbury Smith (Extinction Cycle, Hell Divers, Orbs).
The end of the world is just the beginning of the hunt …
Five days ago North Korea detonated three strategically placed nuclear warheads over the United States, triggering an electromagnetic pulse that crippled the country. A second attack destroyed the nerve center of America in a nuclear blast that flattened the nation’s capital. As the government falls apart in the aftermath, the survivors must decide how far they will go to save the ones they love.
In this lawless new world where the most ruthless thrive while innocents suffer; a sheriff, a retired marine, a nurse, and a senator turned secretary of defense are faced with keeping their communities and families safe. One thing is certain–they won’t be able to save everyone. Not with their humanity still intact.
The entire four book series includes:
Trackers
Trackers 2: The Hunted
Trackers 3: The Storm
Trackers 4: The Damned

Found this book hard to put down!
This series starts out with a ‘bang’ then just keeps getting better. He develops the characters well enough you want to know what happens next. A good read that I would recommend.
great story could,t put down
An interesting and original plot that expands on a post nuclear explosion in USA. The characters are varied and reflect the reality that makes up a society. Some of the scenarios are dealt with a little too quickly for realistic credibility, while others drag on delightfully with twists and humor. An interesting and at times compelling read.
There are a lot of these survivalist books out now. The scenario is real; it could happen; EMP is a real threat. But, the absolute invincibility of some of the characters seems over the top. What I liked about the series was that it took place primarily on the front range of Colorado. That is where we raised our kids and we actually got married at The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park… so all of that resonated with me. This series did make me think a bit more about being prepared in the event of social disorder. Full scale disorder (as in Trackers) would be difficult to survive unless you associated yourself with a large band of armed survivalists who had the gumption and resolve to do what it takes to survive long term. Or, if you had an actual hidden bunker stocked to the nines; to survive a year or two. Most people would turn on one another for that last piece of bread. I tend to think that most social disorder will not be to this extent. And, that it makes sense to spend the money (not as much as one would think) getting ready; water, food, cooking options, weapons and ammo, batteries, battery operated devices, games, books etc. So, from that standpoint, Trackers put me back on track to do just that.
It was good enough to make me want to buy the sequel….
Dark. Intense. Savage.
This series begins with an EMP attack by North Korea that impacts much of the continental United States and things go downhill from there. Potent suspense, meticulous research and superb writing combine to make the Trackers series some of the author’s best work.
What bothers me most about this series, is I could see it happening. I could imagine every day life coming to halt, and the aftermath that ensues. It doesn’t help that the author writes it like it is happening right now, and his writing brings you right smack dab into his reality on the page. I definitely recommend this series.
