I love all Jean Grainger’s books. The characters are interesting, diverse and well developed. Interspersed with the trips the tourists take and the managing of the hotel once gets great descriptions of the Irish landscape.
An unbelievable plot, Not anywhere as good as Maeve Binchy.
Once again, Irish historical fiction….very good and I have read several of Grainger’s books.
Very entertaining and an enjoyable, relaxing read.
I found this book while browsing online. We had just returned from a trip to Ireland, where I had the good fortune to meet my cousin in Inchigeelagh for the first time. The sequence where one of the travelers met her cousin and uncle in that same location brought me to tears and smiles!! This book has travel interest, humor, poignancy and local …
I expected to “see” more of beautiful Ireland. The plot was interesting
Loved it!
Got bogged down & haven’t finished the book. A little slow going
I really enjoyed this book. It was fun and light and had great characters.
The book was a fun read. I did enjoy the characters and their discoveries about themselves as they traveled. It’s what we’d all like on a trip, I think. The ending was pretty predictable, but it suited the kind of book it was.
Enjoyed this book very much!
This book has inspired me to take a tour! We have one planned for 2018 to Ireland and Scotland – and it was inspired by this nice read.
A great read.
The characters are true to life , warts and all.
The story revolves around an Irish tour guide and the American tourists in his charge. Some parts will make you laugh and some will bring you to tears.
Well worth a read
loved the book.
Good fast read. Nice characters and good version of coming to understand others.
I really enjoyed this book as a summer read. It takes place in Ireland and had an assortment of characters thrown together on a tour. I just thought it was entertaining.
A real feel good type book.
Slow and tedious
I liked the stories of each tour passenger. It was a nice, easy read.
It was a happy book.
