Texas Titan quarterback, Kade Kincaid, affectionately known by his fans as Zeus, doesn’t want to go to some stupid bachelor auction, and he really doesn’t want some newbie PR rep babysitting him, but a crazed, supermodel stalker won’t leave him alone and he needs someone to block for him.Felicity Song has plans for her PR career, and babysitting a spoiled quarterback billionaire wasn’t one of … of them. When he demands she ‘fake’ buy him at the auction or risk losing her job, she takes the assignment with one demand, she will NOT go on a date with him. Too bad Zeus is as cocky as his namesake and won’t let her off the hook.
When she plans a perfectly horrible date full of activities Kade hates, she’s blindsided when he agrees to actually jump out of a plane with her and even more surprised when he kisses her. Good thing she slaps him and discovers… this Greek God’s flesh is just as fragile as any other mortal man.
When a tragedy strikes Felicity and Kade steps up to help her, she has to make a choice: lose her one shot at love…or do the one thing she’s told herself she would never do again.

I typically enjoy novels written by Taylor Hart, but “The Tough Love Groom” was on another level and I loved every minute of it. I normally feel as if a novel has been rushed or is missing something from the overall story line; however, I never felt that way with this book. Each of the characters were well developed, as well as the plot behind each one of them. There was not a person in this story that didn’t belong, and it was so refreshing to know each of their stories and how they went together.
This was a wonderful first book in the football series. These characters were amazing and their lives and the obstacles were great. There was humor and pain, sorrow and joy, I laughed and I cried. I thoroughly enjoyed all of the adventures packed into this book and can’t wait to start the next one!
Audiobook version:
Hot NFL quarterback- check! Sassy PR Rep- Check! Sweet wholesome romance in a pretty box. Taylor gave us a sweet, witty romance with great characters. I loved the back and forth between Kade and his PR rep, Felicity. Kade is used to having everyone swoon over him so when Felicity doesn’t bat an eye or swoon his way, he is thrown off his game and challenged in a way he has not been before.
Narration on this is fantastic! Aaron no only gives a great performance but has a voice that you could listen to all day. His female narrations are superb as well. Fantastic listen!

4.5 for me, but alas, no star for that. Well edited, just a small miss here and there.
Kade is a star quarterback for a professional football team in need of PR. He has hired a firm and they have assigned Felicity to his account. Just a week in and Kade is a little ticked when he feels the firm has missed letting him know his estranged brother is in town. He has a run-in with Felicity, and while he may not be pleased with her, she is less than impressed with him. The next day, he needs rescuing in a bachelor auction, and feels this is Felicity’s chance to redeem herself. She wins the date she doesn’t want, and proceeds to come up with the most horrendous date she can – tailor made for Kade. Amazingly, they hit it off, and he pursues her even as she tries to push him away. Their path to HEA traversed estranged family, meddling family, family tragedy, and health issues. Will Kade’s persistence pay off? Will Felicity finally let go and let herself fall for Kade?
This was a great little read – I read in a few hours on a cold afternoon. There was humor and fun, and you are left feeling fairly well satisfied. Enjoy.
Loved it! This was my first Taylor Hart’s book. This story is part of the Texas Titan Romance Series. I love the story of Felicity and Kade. Their story is heartbreaking and afterward heartwarming and beautiful. I love the ending and the Epilogue. Now, I want to listen to the others books in the Series. The narration was really great, as always with Aaron Shedlock. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
