Would you travel the world with a perfect stranger? Fasten your seat belts for an emotional journey filled with humor and adventure. Bachelor & newscaster Pete McCarney buys two plane tickets for a trip around the world with his girlfriend, but they split up shortly before the trip, and he can’t get a refund. In a gutsy last minute move, Pete goes on social media asking for women with his girlfriend’s exact name to join him on the trip. Twenty-one women apply, and the ensuing interview process is both awkward and hilarious. When he finally chooses a feisty, headstrong, recently-divorced lawyer, he has no idea what to expect from their world-wide adventures – and neither does Allie James. She has pretty much sworn off men since her divorce. Will either of them get the vacation they were so desperately hoping for? Read The Ticket, and travel with Pete and Allie around the world today.

This was such a fun book to read! I loved the main female character, Alison James. She is Strong, Sexy, Smart, Quirky and Responsible. What a combination! Pete is looking for someone to use the ticket for a trip to major cities in the world that was intended for his ex-girlfriend. He just needs another women with the same name. Allison just happens to have the same name and was pushed into this situation by her best friend. Both Pete and Allison need a change in their lives and The Ticket gives that push to both of them. A wonderful story that I loved from beginning to end!
I don’t usually enjoy the changing perspective from 1 character to another, but it didn’t detract from this book. Had me laughing out loud several times & thank you that someone apparently cared enough to correct any typos!!!
I was drawn into the story right from the start. I totally enjoyed this adventure. The characters are very likable and funny. Wonderful story!
Two very likeable characters take us on a fun adventure.
For the true hopeless romantic!
Couldn’t put this book down!
I enjoyed the plot and cared about the characters. But the language was so frequently offensive that I struggled to finish.
This is a situation that you would not think would happen. The choice of the one to get the ticket was an interesting one. Who would think that there were that many women with the same name and that the one that was picked didn’t even register for an interview. Funny how life just puts the right one in our paths. Very good read!
The perfect read for these mask-wearing and stay-at-home times. Plenty of twists to make you wonder what will happen next, but knowing all will turn out happily at the end.
great book!
I kinda got bored but maybe it was just me
Realistic characters. I liked them and was rooting for them!
I loved the whole idea of this book! It was so clever, the characters wonderfully believable, and the HEA was what my heart needed. Sigh…A great read! Make a cup of tea and sit in some sunshine and enjoy every page of this wonderful story!
I didn’t see get past first line. The language is filthy . I don’t read this mess. Never understood as many words as there are in our english language why authors have to use trashy words.
I actually read a story earlier this year with the same concept of needing to find a travel companion with same name to replace the breakup. The earlier one was finding a male replacement; this one finds a female. Other than that basis, they are very different stories. I quite enjoyed the zany friends outside London; the Thailand drama and the twists in the ending.
The Ticket was the perfect laugh out loud romantic comedy to help me temporarily clear my mind from the worries of my day to day life. I immediately felt a connection to the main character Allie, whose thoughts and missteps are hysterically relatable, and fell in love with her counterpart Pete, the total package. I hope a filmmaker caches wind of this book; it would make a fantastic movie. I can’t wait to read more of this series!
