She’s far too old for me, but age is just a number. Crazy enough, I’ve loved her since I was a little boy. But I’m not little anymore. And she’s a widow now. No way in hell I’m letting this chance go by now that I’m in her hometown. I don’t give a damn what people say. The biggest struggle is to get this beautiful woman to see me as more than a rowdy Dawson boy. I’ve got more to offer her than … than a rowdy Dawson boy.
I’ve got more to offer her than any man she might find.
Prying my way into her life isn’t going to be easy, but it’ll be more than worth it.
My heart is already hers, time to add in my future, my money and my body.
Hope she’s willing to light up the night with me.
‘Cause there’s a storm rolling in.
Me.

Book 8: THE THUNDER ROLLS 5 stars
I received a free copy of the full-length novel THE THUNDER ROLLS (Dawson Brothers Series Book 8): Dylan by Ali Parker and this review was given freely.
A well-balanced story that is a little steamy with some suspense, some good old alpha cowboy brawling mixed with a second chance at love with an older women romance, slices of life on a Dude ranch, and snippets of a close-knit ranching family.
I loved the first few books in this series but that last several have been OK. They still kept my interest and I enjoyed them but they weren’t as good. I did enjoy reading about all the hot, sexy cowboys…Yes, please! The Thunder Rolls was the 8th book in Ali’s Dawson Brothers Series. It was a fast paced sweet and steamy read.
Dylan was getting restless but he couldn’t figure out how to cure it. Not until he laid his eyes on her. He hadn’t seen her since he was a teenager and she was married. But now he was older and she was a widow. Was she what he was looking for? Would she be able to look past the boy she once knew and see him as the man he was now?
Helen had had a few rough years. Her husband passed away and a new ranch was taking away her business and income. She needed a plan but wasn’t expecting Dylan to come to her rescue. When the lines started to blur was she ready to let go and start something new? Could she ever put her self in that position again or had her heart been broken beyond repair?
It was a fun, quick read! I enjoyed it and I am glad I read it. I certainly liked the shirtless cowboy eye candy!!
I received an arc, and am voluntarily leaving this review. I do so love the Dawson brothers. This is the first older woman/younger man story I’ve read, and wow was it good. This was a fun read that I couldn’t put down. I love this series, and highly recommend it.
This was a fantastic heartwarming story about second chances and overcoming fears of the unknown. Dylan has gone back to the Larson Dude Ranch to help his old boss Helen. Helen’s dude ranch is in trouble with a competing dude ranch. Helen and Dylan have an undeniable attraction they fight until emotions and feelings become to hard to walk away from. The Thunder Rolls is filled with thrilling danger, heartache, sass, humorous wit, family bonds, secrets, passion, and love. This is a must read from Ali Parker that readers won’t want to put down. Readers will fall in love with the Dawson brothers all over again. I loved this book and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
“I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this novel.”
THE THUNDER ROLLS (The Dawson Brothers Book 8) By Ali Parker
It is about time to have a book with an older woman and a younger man. The Thunder Rolls brings us the story of Dylan Dawson (of 26) and Helen Larson (of 34) . As a teenager he worked on the dude ranch that Helen and her husband had. When he meets up with her a long time later and finds out she was a widow of 2 years he wants to go work for her again. Dylan finds out she is having a tough time keeping everything afloat and is determined to help her. He knows what he wants and goes after it, Helen is too worried about what everyone else will think and rejects him over and over. This is a sweet solid story with great characters and they have chemistry.
Dylan and Helen see each other again at a fair where Dylan and his family are selling some farm animals, and Helen is trying to drum up business for her dude ranch. Dylan who used to work for Helen and her husband at their dude ranch when he was a teenager has always been attracted to Helen and his feelings haven’t changed. Helen finds herself attracted to a man, Dylan, for the first time since her husband died. Dylan decides to use his vacation time away from the family ranch to go help Helen on her dude ranch. Can Dylan convince Helen that they belong together? Will Helen let other’s opinions about her relationship with Dylan derail their future together? Can Dylan and Helen overcome the obstacles in their way and find their happily ever after? The chemistry between Dylan and Helen is blazing hot. I really liked The Thunder Rolls by Ali Parker. The Thunder Rolls is a great book with great characters, bad neighbors, a little drama, and smoking hot chemistry. I would definitely recommend getting The Thunder Rolls by Ali Parker. I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest review.
This was a good read. Dylan ends up back at the ranch. He finds out the woman he had a crush on is now a widow. They begin to have a fling. Helen insists that’s all it will ever be. However, by the end she comes to realize that it was always something more.
I really enjoyed this new “Dawson Brothers” story! This is a fun older lady younger man story that is also a little emotional! It is a heart warming story that really pulls at your heart strings. I love the characters! Dylan and Helen are great! He is helping her do more than save her ranch.
I love the Dawson family. They are a family that sticks together no matter what. Dylan who see his former employer when he is at the Livestock show and Rodeo Fairgrounds, Helen Larson. Helen was on a mission that day by passing out flyers to increase business at her Dude Ranch. Dylan always loved Helen, by helping her with her ranch was a way he could get closer to her. The Dawson brothers always have a plan of action. Dylan did!!! I recommend this book to all readers the Dawson brothers are awesome!!! I voluntarily reviewed this ARC for my honest review.

This is an older woman/younger man cowboy romance that will pull at your heartstrings. Dylan is the youngest Dawson brother who is know to get into fights whenever provoked. He is feeling restless and needs to get away from his families farm. Helen lost her husband unexpectedly and is trying to save their dude ranch. Dylan use to work on the Larson Dude Ranch when he was in high school. These two are attracted to each other but they try to ignore those feelings. This storyline was well written and has wonderful characters that you can really relate to. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
You really know how to give a great story to the youngest Dawson brother. He is this slight rebel who needs some in his life and he finds it with a woman older than him but really pits him in his place. Their live is a slow growing thing but by the time all is said and done we see to people who truly love and appreciate each other. Now we just have to see the last Dawson get their story. This was a wonderful book and I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.
A heartfelt, well written older woman/younger man romance with a great storyline, interesting characters, loss, intense chemistry, drama, and hot scenes.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Great story and characters. I didn’t read the rest of the series but you don’t have to read those to read this. I really like this author and have read other books by her.
The story is interesting, well-written with a happily ever after. Nice for a change to see an older woman and a younger man as the main characters. The characters are amazingly likable, storyline is well thought out and pulls you in.
Well written as always, I’ve read several of her books. And this one doesn’t disappoint. It’s different setting from what I usually read but I like the variety and that it gives me knowledge on how it is living an old country life.
Great characters. She’s older than him and a widow. She tried to avoid him to protect her business from town gossip and also to protect herself from getting hurt again. But he’s persistent. Hot love scenes of course, that’s a given lol

Helen and Dylan’s story is full of surprises. Dylan had a “crush” on Helen when he worked on her ranch as a teen. Years later, he’s returned, she’s a widow, and the feelings intensify. Helen struggles with Dylan being a younger man and with the opinions of others regarding their relationship. She fights Dylan and her own feelings. Can these two find a way to be together, save the ranch, and get a HEA? Grab this great addition to the series today! I received an advanced readers copy of this book and am gladly leaving this review.
A cowboy you can’t help but fall in love with? Fantastic. Dylan used to work on Helen’s ranch during his summer vacations from school but when he runs into her at an auction and finds out she is a widow and her dude ranch is not doing well, Dylan will do anything to help her. Helen is hot to trot one minute and pushing him out the door the next. Dylan has always had feelings for Helen and feels like he needs to stay and help her keep her ranch going. I love the way Dylan knows how much he cares about her and how much he wants to protect her, but there is so much tension going back-and-forth between them it’s like watching a ping-pong match. This book is a really sweet romance with a polite gentleman who has a heart of gold. She better latch on to him before he takes off. I love the way the story is written. A very gentlemanly, sweet, gorgeous cowboy who falls for the woman of his dreams. Really really good.
