She’s far too old for me, but age is just a number. Crazy enough, I’ve loved her since I was a little boy. But I’m not little anymore. And she’s a widow now. No way in hell I’m letting this chance go by now that I’m in her hometown. I don’t give a damn what people say. The biggest struggle is to get this beautiful woman to see me as more than a rowdy Dawson boy. I’ve got more to offer her than … than a rowdy Dawson boy.
I’ve got more to offer her than any man she might find.
Prying my way into her life isn’t going to be easy, but it’ll be more than worth it.
My heart is already hers, time to add in my future, my money and my body.
Hope she’s willing to light up the night with me.
‘Cause there’s a storm rolling in.
Me.

Ali Parker’s The Thunder Rolls (The Dawson Brothers Book 8) Another Dawson brother bites the dust!! It’s well written, great story, great characters, older woman/younger man genre. I loved reading about Dylan and Helen. It definitely will grab you by your heartstrings. Grab it today and follow the journey for these two I wholeheartedly recommend this series and talented author.
I have voluntarily read and reviewed this advanced readers copy
Dylan remembers his time at the ranch working and staying with such fond memories in his youth, especially as he always had a crush on the slightly older Helen who was the wife of the rancher who owned the property.
Ten years has past and Dylan is not a teenager anymore.
Dylan tells his family he is going on a coast holiday, however he goes back to the one place that has always felt like home. Helen is now a widower trying to save her ranch from going under, and Dylan is determined to show Helen that he is not the young man she remembers.
This story has plenty of action drama adventures, and sexual chemistry.
A lovely heartfelt addition
Helen, a dude ranch owner, and Dylan, one of the Dawson boys, meet again after approximately eight years. As the story progresses help is hard given, trouble comes calling, and some times it take more than a physical fight to get what you want. The Thunder Rolls is a lovely heartfelt addition to Ali Parker’s The Dawson Brothers series. Showcasing cowboy honor and realistic settings on top of well rounded characters a reader cannot go wrong if they are looking for a cowboy romance read.
I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
‘The Thunder Rolls’ is book 8 in the Dawson brother series. This book revolves around Dylan and Helen, an older woman he had an infatuation with during his teen years when he worked on her ranch. Now all grown up, and her husbands passed away, the obsession has become something some might consider taboo.
Dylan takes it upon himself to help her failing ranch while wanting to ease her heart and soul too. But Helen is resistant, feeling the connection knowing its wrong.
Can he show her that age is just a number?
An emotionally twisted love story, with a tortuous amount of tug of war on the heartstrings, maddeningly sweet moments, insta-lust to love mixed up with some country life action! I liked Helen, understood her struggle, then some parts I wanted to shake her for being insane!
I love stories that drag me down the rabbit hole with them!
Edge of the equator heat, with a side of stetson coming off this story! 4.5 stars from me
Hmmm… same artist, but a totally different song. However, I guess “That Summer” wouldn’t have the same flare as the title for this book even if it does tell the right story. I loved Dylan. I adore this littlest Dawson brother. He’s got a wild streak, but at heart he’s the perfect cowboy gentleman. Helen frustrated me a lot. This strong, independent woman was far too wrapped up in other people’s opinions, and that made me gnash my teeth and want to throw things. I was so glad to see this pair figure out what was really important in the end. Even though we’re now finished with the Dawson brothers, there’s still a Dawson sister that needs her story told.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
The Thunder Rolls is fantastic!!! This is one of the best of the Dawson Brothers tales!! A story that unfolds rapidly and grabs you for a great ride!!! It ha s romance family fighting ON MY!!! YEP A GREAT BOOK Y’ALL!! GRAB IT SIT BACK FOR A WONDERFUL RIDE!!
THUNDEROUS EXCITEMENT!
Sweet, engaging, endless excitement, impacting emotions and enjoyable steam makes this one heck of a thrilling read that I instantly fell in love with. A fantastic read I absolutely recommended.
Overall I really liked the book. The first part of the book was hard to get into, but as soon as they share their first kiss it picks up from there. Helen is a little whiny and insecure about what all the small town gossips will say and continually tries to send Dylan home. Dylan is resilient and unwilling to give up on what he thinks will be an amazing relationship. There is a happily ever after in the story.
Dylan she’s an attractive woman in a bar one night. He doesn’t recognize her, but he used to work for her ten years ago when he was a teenager. Now, Helen is a young widow at 34 and her ranch, Larson Dude Ranch is in trouble. Dylan offers to see what’s up and he’s attracted to Helen.
Absolutely fantastic! A well written emotionally deep romance. The storyline is flawless, funny, witty, enjoyable, and very interesting. The story flows smoothly and moves along at a brisk pace with a few ups and downs and a mix of emotions on every page. The chemistry between them is intense and their love scenes are beautifully written and HOT!
3 1/2*
Dylan bumps into Helen whilst helping his family sell some of the animals from the ranch. He helped on their Ranch when he was younger, hearing her husband has died and she’s struggling he makes a decision. Can he convince her to let him stay & help?

A older woman and a younger man do they have a chance at love?
Dylan had a crush on Helen even though she was married when he worked on her family’s Dude ranch when he was a teenager. Now ten years later he’s home and talking to a beautiful woman and realizes that it’s Helen and that she’s even more beautiful. He finds out her husbands dead and realizes this is his chance. He has to prove that he’s not the kid that she remembers but a grown man and that he wants her forever. Will he be able to get her to fall in love with him? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I loved this book and it was so much fun to read. Another book in the Dawson Brothers series, this was Dylan’s story. An older woman, younger man romance that is really sweet. A second chance of sorts for Dylan as he’s always had a crush on Helen. Well written with interesting characters and an entertaining story. I read an advance reader copy and voluntarily chose to review.
Older woman, younger man romance done right. I couldn’t put it down.
The Thunder Rolls, interesting and sexy.
He was a teenager when he worked on their dude ranch although he had a serious crush on Helen. Too bad she was happily married. Now its ten years later and the tides have turned. Helen is grieving the loss of her husband and their dude ranch is experiencing financial difficulties. Dylan is captivated with the woman speaking to him and when he realizes she is the one he crushed on in his teenage years he is awe struck because she looks entirely different. Now that she is single, Dylan has his chance to make his dream a reality. Will Helen let him into her heart? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This book was such a refreshing read with the older woman/younger man theme that I was totally glued to my kindle throughout the entire book! The characters were written with depth and detail and the storyline was so well written that I was totally engaged!
