Cormac Delaney was everything I hated about men—arrogant, smug and condescending, but he was also everything my body responded to—gorgeous, tall, brooding, and confident. Oh, and he happened to be a partner at the publishing company I was trying to get signed to. My book—“Fu*#$@Boys”—about how men are selfish, sex-crazed pigs—was one vote away from being published—his vote. But not only did he … hate my book, he asked me a question that would change things between us forever:
“How can you be an expert on men when you’ve never been in a real relationship?”
He had a point, but I wasn’t about to let him know. Instead I did what any self-respecting writer and podcaster would do—I proposed a radical social experiment. Cormac and I would live together for one month as boyfriend and girlfriend. If he could change my mind about men I’d withdraw my book. If not, he’d agree to publish it.
My only condition? No sex, or anything physical, whatsoever.
I never thought he’d go for it, but I guess I was wrong about him, in more ways than one. Don’t get me wrong, I hate Cormac Delaney, even if he is easy on the eyes. . .fine, he’s good looking. . .alright, he’s hot as hell, but still! To do this I’m going to have to remind myself of a few things: we’re only an experiment, nothing more. He’s not the most gorgeous man I’ve ever seen in my life, he absolutely does not have a body that makes me tingle in all the right places, and I’m never, under any circumstances, going to let myself fall for him. . .
Right?

The Three Kiss Clause is an enjoyable and funny read. Christopher Harlan’s latest book is a well written romantic comedy that will have you laughing out loud, while thinking about some of the preconceived notions we have about the opposite sex. Tori is a social media guru, a very opinionated and popular instagrammer and vloger. After writing her first book and getting it rejected by a male publisher, she sets out to prove that the premise of her book is correct and that he is wrong. Cormac is a down to earth and relatable. You can’t help but like him. He is sexy and smart and willing to take Tori up on her experiment – live together, pretend to be in a relationship and although there’s not supposed to be any hanky panky, there can be kissing – 3 kisses. What starts of as an experiment, turns into a very real challenge when feelings and attraction take over. As with all great Romcoms, their HEA is sweet and well deserved. TBR and enjoy. (I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.)
although it took me a while to get into, it was an entertaining read.
You know, I worry that sometimes my reviews don’t do a book justice. Despite being completely honest about how I felt about a book, I can never truly put into words the emotions I get from reading them. This book is no different.
This book started off sounding like a podcast, which was different for me. I’ve never read any book even remotely like this one, but it also completely sucked me in and captivated me from the very first page.
First we meet Tori. She’s a social media icon and has a rabid following of women, all who have been scorned or screwed over by an ex or two. Let’s be honest, who hasn’t been? I could really relate to her because I too have had bad experiences in my past. And that’s what made this book so enjoyable. Being able to relate. Granted, I’ve never been through what she has, at least not to the same degree, but still. Her views and opinions on men are very strong.
Because she has such a huge following, and because her ideas are so unique, a publisher reaches out to her to see if she’s ever considered a book deal. Which jump starts our story and is where she meets Cormac, who starts off thinking that she’s a man-hater. Which most definitely isn’t the case.
I actually really enjoyed reading things from Cormac’s point of view because Mr. Harlan managed to capture the truth with him. He showed that men aren’t just alpha males, or dominant personalities. He showed that they aren’t just jerks who treat women as disposable. They have layers. SO MANY COMPLICATED LAYERS. Just like women do.
The chemistry between these two was unreal. It was so thick that I could feel it bleeding out from the screen on my kindle. They are exact opposites! (Another thing that made it easy to relate to because my husband and I are the same way) But they put a whole new meaning to the phrase opposites attract. What started out as an ‘experiment’ turned into something real and raw that took me on a journey of emotions that I wasn’t prepared to deal with.
For my first read of the year (I got a late start), this book is definitely going to be hard to top. There were times I was laughing out loud, crying silent tears, and even full on sobbing. This book was incredible and I’d rate it higher if I could! If you love Rom-Coms you definitely need to check it out!
5 out of 5 stars!
You did it agaim. Gav3 us another great story that kept our minds guessing but in the end we get the ending we knew was hopefully coming. This one I think is one of my favorite by Christopher Harlan. I definitely give it 2 thumbs up and highly recommend it. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader’s Copy.
Fun quirky story about social media presence, publishing and learning that not all is as it seems. When you are dealt a painful hand, some of us cry it out, others of us try to find meaning. Tori turned her pain and heartache into a huge social media presence and gained a following of other like minded people. Is she just a feminist man-hater? Is Cormac just like every other man on the planet according to the TorMenTor world? Both Tori and Cormac will learn some major lessons about the opposite sex AND each other through a unique social experiment that will end up being an eye opener for both of them. I found it fun to read and experience the journey they both will go through in order to find themselves.
What happens when two people who have opposite views bicker and can’t agree on anything? Cormac & Tori want to prove to the other that they are in the right, and what happens afterwards brings these two closer than they ever imagined.
Tori is a strong, confidant woman who makes a living voicing her opinions about the opposite sex. Being badly hurt in the past, it’s obvious why she feels the way she feels. Cormac is the guy that can’t believe she feels this way & will prove to her she’s wrong. These two disagree and argue but are adorable and sweet together, when they get along! Hopefully there is a book coming soon about the bestie!
A fun romantic comedy. Great characters and a great first romantic comedy written by Christopher Harlan. Loved the story. Looking forward to more.
The first thing that came to my mind d after finishing this book was, so so good! I loved Cormac and Tori, I loved this book!
When social media sensation Tori Klein pulls a meeting with representatives of a publishing house for her book, Fu*#$@boys, she’s excited. That is until she meets partner Cormac Delaney, the man standing in her way of getting her book deal.
Cormac Delaney’s never heard of Tori Klein before, but apparently his two partners have, and they want to sign her. Her book, Fu*#$@boys, is full of feminist drivel, and it’s apparent she’s never been in a serious relationship based on her book. How in world she ever thought that any man would want to publish her book is beyond his comprehension. Do women really think like this? Well, he’s not going to vote to publish it, that’s for sure.
After being turned down for a publishing deal outright, Tori comes up with a plan to get Cormac to like the book, or at least understand her. When she lays out the experiment, Cormac accepts. She’s now got 30 days to prove to him that she knows what she’s talking about before the partners meet again to discuss her book. It’s her final shot with the publishing house and she’s going to make this dream a reality.
This book is well written, has a funny plot, HEA, and some truly outstanding characters, my favorite, by far, is Shoshanna!
This is Mr. Harlan’s first rom-com and he’s hit it out of the park. I laughed out loud so many times, both my family and my pets look at me funny. I recommend this book to all those who love rom-coms and HEA’s. This book gives you all the feels and keeps you laughing until the end.
** I received an ARC of this story and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Well now I want a Cormac of my own! Is it okay to be jealous of a fictional woman?!? lol Tori has been hurt, and I mean in a truly horrible way by her ex. Now that she has worked her way up and out and has her platforms to help other women, she ready for the next step, publishing a book! Now we meet Cormac, who Tori sees as the typical man who thinks with nothing but his little head(even if he is sexy as h#ll). Cormac looks at Tori as a man hater with no real life experience, but damn is she ever the hottest woman he’s ever seen! Now the fun and action ensues where we get to watch these two muddle through all of the preconceived notions they had and try to find the truth. I loved this story and the journey that Cormac and Tori took!
The Three KISS Clause was such a fun book! Tori is a social media darling. She has a vlog and does podcasts. Tori has written a book based on her platforms. She has not had good experiences with men, and gets her followers to share their bad experiences with her. She’s compiled their answers, and must choose a publisher. The publisher she chooses is a small company with three partners. Two of them are women and are very interested in Tori’s book. The third partner is Cormac Delaney, who hates the man-hating premise of her book, and when he finds out that she’s never been in a relationship, all bets are off! In order to reachan agreemant, each partner must agree, and one partner is out of the country. Tori is so desperate to be published, she comes up with a doozy of a proposal for a skeptical Cormac. She proposes that they have what she calls TheThree KISS Clause. She and Cormac will “live together” as boyfriend and girlfriend for on month. (absolutely NoSex!) If he can change her mind about being a man hater. She promises to forget about them publishing her book. Surprise surprise! He agrees. This is such a fun book! Nothing is as it seems. Cormac and Tori are so very different. But there’s something… You will love Cormac and Tori they are funny and complicated, and Tori’s friend Shoshana takes no prisoners!
The Three Kiss Clause was fantastic!
It is my favorite book by Christopher so far! It will have you laughing, swooning and wanting more! I loved Tori and Cormac! Their banter was entertaining. It will have you cracking up. Their attraction and chemistry was intense and amazing! Christopher has outdone himself with The Three Kiss Clause! I can’t wait to see what Christopher gives us next!
I really enjoyed reading this rom-com!!!
I thought it was well written, it had such a fun storyline!
The banter was so funny at parts to read.
The love/hate, sizzling attraction between Tori and Cormac was great!
I loved the way it ended i thought it was so full of entertainment and I really enjoyed it.
This is a book i would defiantly recommend!
(First read-through) I had a hard time getting started with this book. The first couple of chapters had a lot of dialogue between the Heroine and her friend, which oddly enough turned me off at first. I know, I know, I know, this is what sold many reviewers on the book, but for me it was distracting. I had a hard time keeping Shosh and Tori’s voices separate. The book did pick up once Cormac, our Hero is introduced into the picture.
This book is about a Vlogger with a huge social media following. She has written a book that basically man-hates according to Cormac. Cormac and his 2 partners each have a 51% vote on which authors are published by his company (“51% Rule” = 1 person can over ride the majority vote).
Cormac being the only male obviously is not interested in Tori’s man-hating propaganda. So, she strikes a deal with him. As a result, the deal will either prove Tori’s book is right or wrong about men.
You have to read the Three Kiss Clause to find out what happens!!
This is a great book by Christopher Harlan. It just took a while for it to grab me. But honestly, that’s not on him or his writing ability, that’s all on my ADD. This book has great characters and great banter between the characters. I could literally play the dialogue in my head like a ROMCOM movie. Great job Christopher Harlan! I loved it!
UPDATED (2nd read-through): I reread the book and took my time and stayed focused. I think this is my favorite book my Harlan. I loved it.
I was provided in advanced reader copy by the author. I provided a voluntary review.
Like Cormac, I wasn’t a big fan of Tori at first. Then I got to know her more and learn the reasoning behind what she did, which made her a much more likable character. The characters were great and the chemistry between Cormac and Tori was hot. It was a fun read and I enjoyed it very much.
This was awesome. Tori reminded me so much of the traits that I have, Cormac was just what she needed. Will we see more about Max and Shoshanna? Hmmmmm…
This was the first book I have read from this author and it won’t be my last.
What a delightful surprise.
This was a great rom-com.
Tori and Cormac had amazing chemistry. The attraction to each other and the way they try to deny it is priceless. Almost as funny as Tori’s blog
A must read
This book will have you laughing left & right! Like for real I don’t know how many times my husband asked me what’s so funny while I was reading it! Tori & Cormac despise each other in the beginning of the book & when they start their experiment. Once they get to know each other better they realize just how wrong their initial thoughts of each other were. Can they look past that to start something amazing & get over past relationships? You’ll have to grab the book to find out! You won’t regret it this page turner had me hooked from the first few paragraphs!!!
I received an arc in exchange for my honest review!
Tori is my spirit animal! She’s fearless when it comes to her sister and will do anything and everything for her. It was exhilarating to watch the push and pull of the relationship between Tori and Cormac. I love how the story evolves and you get to dive in and see these two work through their personal obstacles and as a couple.
I loved this book. It was a great rom com that will have you laughing and swooning. Tori and Cormac were so good together. The chemistry that they had was so hot and intense. The attraction that they tried to fight but couldn’t was so much fun to watch. I have read several books from Christopher Harlan and I just love his work more with each book that I have read. I can’t wait to read more. You won’t be disappointed with this book. Highly recommend it.
