A missing girl. An expat amateur sleuth. And a whole lot of croissants.Meet Molly Sutton, 38 years old and out of work, who moves to the French village of Castillac to recover from the end of her marriage. She’s looking for peace, beautiful gardens, and pastry—but she’s barely gotten over jet-lag when a local girl goes missing. In between getting her old ramshackle house in order and reveling in … in order and reveling in French food, Molly ends up embroiled in the case, along with the gendarmes of Castillac. And unlike the Nancy Drews she loved as a child, this mystery stirs up emotions she thought had been put to rest..and terrifies the residents of her beloved village.

Captured the spirit of a French village. Very entertaining.
Lots of surprises
great, easy to read mystery
Great characters in a fun setting. Looking forward to reading other books in the series
Interesting concept, quirky character. Fun read.
good read
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, especially the main character. And the depictions of France were great.
intriguing
I can’t wait to learn more about this French village.
Good book. More realistic than some, because the character was not involved fully. But actually tripped over clues. I would love to live in France if I could find this village
The Third Girl was a riveting story. As I got further into the plot I found I could not stop reading! Excellent plot!
How interesting that the village pulls together to hide a would be murderer. If only he would have shared what he knew. Others barely escape the real murderer. Read it and keep guessing until the end.
Quite an enjoyable read
I really liked this book. Not the typical cozy mystery and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.
Good read. Kept me guessing until the end.
One of the best books of the series so far. Very enjoyable.
Enjoyed the characters and the humor while thinking about the ‘missing’ third girl. Also enjoyed the small community she created in this book. A bit more development will result in a Very good read. As it was – I was inspired to ‘get to the end’.
I really enjoyed the trip thru this part of France. The plot was clever. No idea until close to the end of who did the dirty deed.
Really enjoyed this book. Made me look up French underwear and also made me hungry for croissants!! LOL
I enjoyed this book. I didn’t know how it would end til the very end.
