This was a brilliant follow up to the first novel in this series: The Things We Leave Unsaid. I was immediately hooked by the two main characters and wanted to know more about both. I loved the fashion aspect and really enjoyed finding out the truth about the things they both never knew 🙂 Another fantastic read from this author.
This is my first time reading something by Ms. Mayfair, and I was thoroughly captivated. This book has so much emotion and depth and is filled with heartwarming as well as some heartbreaking moments, I just couldn’t put it down. I was completely pulled into the lives of Michelle and Bebe. Two totally different women who build such a strong friendship, together they brought so many funny and sweet moments to the story and they make you wonder and think about what the meaning of life is. I enjoyed all the twists and turns the story took and how the characters dealt with them. A really great read!

The story of two women whose lives are intertwined and the quest of knowing more about her father hurting others, especially her new-found friend.
So she has to ask herself if she should continue to search or leave it be to not hurt others.
The story is a mix of human interest and romance, showing that it is not always a good thing to know, as it can cause pain – and even be painful to innocent bystanders.
A good story, with interesting, well developed characters. An entertaining story, despite the sometimes deep emotions.

This story was about two women Michelle and Bebe and is told alternating between their points of view. Michelle struck me as an airhead at first partying her way through college, spending too much money, and caring too much about what others thought about her on social media. Bebe is a fashion designer who thinks Michelle might be her half sister and set out at first befriending her to find out more about her father. Bebe is enviously of Michelle loving family and stable life and Michelle is jealous of all the traveling Bebe has done with her mom. They both make a mess of their dating lives even though they have men who genuinely care about of them. There were plenty of funny, sweet, and some sexy and scary moments in this Australian romance.
In “The Things We Never Knew” you’ll find an engrossing story of life and love entwined with ambition and a yearning to belong. It has it’s bumpy way to follow until half perceived facts and secrets resolve into a simpler path. I enjoyed it immensely.
