Best at what he does, Metzler writes for us to read. He is a godsend.
This was an interesting book – I enjoyed it, I like this author too.
The Tenth Justice is one of my least favorite books that I ever read. However, I have a bad habit of staying with a book, no matter how bad it is, until I finish reading. The general idea behind this book is really good, but the writer fails to use this good idea. The characters are flat and predictable, and the plot twists, and I use that term …
This is the first Brad Meltzer book. I have read 7 of his books and liked every one. Each is different and uses a backdrop of something familiar like the supreme court or congress or a politician. I have to put the book down occasionally because the story gets so intense. Believable. Exciting. Informative. Great author.
A Very timely fictional yet believable Supreme Court setting with treachery, blackmail, politics, love, sex, and redemption, all skillfully crafted to keep you up late. All in all a very good read!
not up to his stanndards
Not my favorite of his but good reading nonetheless.
Really novel mystery or caper depending on how you look at it.
Well written …realistic characters. .held my interest as to what would happen next. .
I thought the book was very creative, with man twists and turns. And left the door open for a sequel which I’m certainly would read.
Main character is not believable and the key to the plot is artificial and, again, unbelievable. Some good twists and turns, but it all hinges on this supposedly smart lawyer doing an unbelievably dumb thing.
Good fast paced novel
Fascinating story of 4 friends, one of whom clerks for a Supreme Court Justice. He becomes very friendly with the other clerk for the same Justice. The male clerk tells someone who says he used to clerk for the same Justice what decision the court is about to make. The “former clerk” makes a lot of money with the information and continues to …
Meltzer pens an engrossing legal thriller sure to please those who enjoy courtroom drama.
took way too much time to become only slightly interesting,
Would not recommend.
A great read by a great writer
Tedious, very poor character development
I didn’t like the characters very much so didn’t really care what happened to them. Most of the characters (who were very educated) were really pretty stupid and naive. The ending was fairly unbelievable also.
The Tenth Justice give a great glimpse inside the workings of the Supreme Court from the view of the clerks who work there. The writer does a good job of building the action to a fever pitch, but the final battle and ending challenge credibility. The book is very enjoyable and dialogue is pretty good, not perfect, but good enough to keep the …
Well-written, taut thriller with interesting characters.
