Easily my favorite of Georgette Heyer’s books (that I’ve read)! I love the story, the characters, and everything about it. Heyer, for me, is THE ultimate Regency romance writer.
A romance and a mystery in one, and delightfully funny, this is my all-time favourite Georgette Heyer book, and a story I go back to whenever I’m feeling down. Guaranteed to make you feel better about absolutely everything!
The perfect balance of mystery and romance.
It is tough to pick a Georgette Heyer to recommend because she has SO MANY wonderful stories, but this is a favorite. Miss heyer is the inheritor of Jane Austen’s sensibilities and a delightful read if you like stories in the Regency era.
