Gillian Morgan is an American surgeon who is running from someone in her past. She refuses to be controlled by anyone, let alone a man. Little does she know, but fate has a different plan.John Kenric is the ultimate British bad boy, a true alpha. He not only controls the European Underworld but prides himself on dominating everyone and everything. However, when he rescues Gillian, he learns there … learns there might be someone he finally can’t control.
Patrick O’Malley is not only John’s best mate but his beta in the Underworld. He and John share everything, including women. Hopefully, he will be able to add Gillian to that list, with or without permission.
Publisher’s Note: This is a steamy book about the mysterious Underworld, containing ménage, graphic scenes, and a theme of power exchange.

Third book in this series and while there was a lot I liked, what I didn’t was down right annoying to me. John and Gillian continue to build their relationship and Patrick is starting to feel like an afterthought to the threesome. That is so sad to me. Patrick deserves love and passion as much as anyone else and this book doesn’t give him that. To me, John(Pooh Bear ???) and Gillian’s relationship takes over and there is only room for Patrick on occasion. But, the book moves quickly, is steamy, and leaves you with some questions. I hope the next book is the last in this series. It’s time to give these 3 a HEA or give Patrick one without these other 2.

I cannot believe that this is the first book written by Jessie James. This book was so phenomenal to me and I really wish that I hadn’t put reading the book off for so long. There is a definite dark and gritty element to the story, but the main characters kind of circle around each other, and I really enjoyed their banter. I’m super anxious to see which characters will be a part of her harem, as it appears all the men just go stupid in her presence. I am already starting to read the next book in the series, and I know there will be many more, but I wish they were all available NOW. I’m so enamored with the characters, and I can’t wait to see how everything plays out.
Please note that I did receive an ARC of this book, and the opinions expressed in this review are my own.

Gillian is out for a jog when she literally collides with her next patient. She fights for his life without realizing that she has just implicated herself in a serious situation and will be fighting for her own life. Can she trust John and Patrick? Are they on her side? Why is she so attracted to them when she should be fleeing? The characters are complex, intense and determined. The storyline keeps you on the edge of your seat from the suspense, the twists and turns, and the need and lust. Great read and I can’t wait for the continuation of the story.

Who does she trust?
by sewsummore
This is the first book that I have read by this author but will not be the last. This story caught my attention from the beginning One of the things I liked about it was the description of the characters, they quickly became real people in my mind. The one thing I did not like was the sudden cliff hanger on the last page. Gillian was a beautiful American doctor, a woman that drew eyes where ever she went. After a relationship went bad, the moved to London and it was there that she became a person of interest in a murder. Before he died, the man gave her his notebook for safekeeping and that was when the book became interesting. I am waiting eagerly for the next book to find out what happened next.

The beautiful American with secrets
—>>> The story of how an innocent woman, Dr. Gillian Morgan, finds herself in the middle of two rival groups of mafia men begins in this first installment. She was at the wrong place at the wrong time, literally running across a badly injured man in the park, and all suspect that she has some evidence in her safekeeping. However, she is so beautiful that everyone lusts after her, and John and Patrick, who were looking and waiting for the injured man to show up, are determined to have her for themselves and get her to give up the journal that was supposed to have ended up in their hands. Though claiming to not be involved, her past associations, once they come to light, do not support her innocence, and everyone is trying to determine her angle, but she has secrets which she needs to keep.
For me, the storyline had potential, with good backstories for the main characters, but getting the play-by-play of lustful thoughts from each and every single character she encounters was a bit trying, along with the repetitiveness of the wording in the way Gillian is referred to as “the beautiful American” as well as others. The story seems to stop on the last word at what I would say is the end of a chapter quite abruptly versus a cliffhanger, but I can see how it can continue in the next books to come.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more twists and turns, John sees Gillian and wants her he wants to dominate her and share her with his best friend Patrick he also helps John in the Underground. Will Gillian let them dominate her when she is running from her past.
Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

*** I NEED MORE***
This book is a little dark with a little dub con but regardless I absolutely love Gillian’s spit-fire attitude towards John and Pat. They maybe alpha males but when they step out of line Gillian has no problem telling them. They in turn don’t want to make of her cause they have only ever known whores and she carries herself like she’s nobility and she acts nothing like a whore. I was up late reading this book and couldn’t put it down once I got started then went to work and heard a song on the radio and made me think of this book, lol. Now I need and want more please.

Gillian was a doctor hiding from her past. John and Patrick were wealthy men who ran things both legally and illegally and only accepted things done their way. When the beautiful doctor was thrust in their path neither man could resist Their attraction to her. But could they trust her? This exciting story was interesting and intriguing and I am hating that it is a Cliffhanger!!!!

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. I really enjoyed everything about this book except that I have to wait until the next one to find out the rest of their story. Things are not as they seem and it will keep you turning the pages all night. You have an innocent doctor who is hiding in London from two scary men. Then she meets two more scary men and she fights the attraction from the first meeting. But there is more to her than meets the eye along with a family history she knows very little about. When her feelings, her reasons for hiding and her family all hit her in the face at once… what is a strong woman to do other than wade thru it all. Feelings of anger, distrust, lust and love all flow between the three. Can they make it thru it to find a HEA? You need to start reading this and hang on for the ride. Because the end might give you more questions then answers. I cannot wait until the next book!

Over the top
Firstly, be aware that this book ends, not with a cliffhanger as such, but with a story that is just not finished. Not sure how many books are planned, but I hope not many as the story can really be shortened.
The book did not appeal to me for a variety of reasons. Probably the most jarring is the use of the word bitch. Nope, I am not a prude, it was just used to refer to any and everyone, mostly enemies but sometimes colleagues and acquaintances. Then, our h was beautiful beyond belief and I had to read almost all male characters’ inner dialogue about how she was turning them on with just a peak at her. Of course she has some body issues, but also just some of the time.
Lastly, and I have never come across a similar issue, was the fact that the characters were called by their names or their nationality interchangeably. For example the Brit, the American, the Irish the Scot. It sounded like the start of a bad joke and definitely kept me from connecting with the characters.
I liked the story premise but the book dragged it out too much. This book ended with the first not even full (there was some kissing and losing of clothes but no orgasms before) sexual encounter between the h and one of the Hs. The story could have really moved forward quicker.

My first reaction when I finished this story –John needs to see a physiotherapist or chiropractor. He cracked his neck so many times throughout that it obviously left an impression on me! This is my first book by this author and it has a different flavor to other romance books I have read. All the male characters were tall and brawny and, from John and Patrick to the doctor and butler, had uncontrollable erections to Gillian. It also needs editing since certain phrases were repeated ad nauseam (The American, the emerald eyed woman/beauty with the porcelain hands/face/breasts, the Brit, the large Brit) and there were some story line inconsistencies.
Cliffhanger alert!

This an interesting and dark mafia story. I enjoyed reading it. The plot is good but it’s drawn out I guess to get another story out of it. There is danger, suspense, intrigue, and interesting situations. Gillian has escaped some bad situations in her life but managed to make something of her life as a doctor. Trying to save a life puts her life in jeopardy. She’s now with John Kenric and his friend Patrick O’Malley. They are trying to get a book back but Gillian is being difficult. There also action, confusion, conflict and attraction. There was to much of men calling women a “bit**” of “who**” We probably could do without that. All in all a good story. Actually this story line was really interesting. In the beginning poor Giovanni is running for his life from unknown assailant, at least to me the reader. All I know is that he is hurt really bad and he is trying to get somewhere so he can call his friend John Kenric. He had a book in his possession that he had taken a bullet for and was going to hang onto it, even though he was dying. He sees a park and runs through the park and runs smack into Dr. Gillian Morgan. She sees how badly hurt he is and she calls 911 and takes him to her hospital where she and another surgeon operate on him for nine hours. Right before she left for the morning she went to check on Giovanni and he tries to talk to her and she tells him not to but he is insistent on telling her something and that something is to keep the journal or book whatever it was on the beside table next to him. In telling her this he takes his left breath and dies even though she calls a code blue, he still dies.. So she takes the book. No one knows what happened to the book, from the time Dr. Gillian Morgan left the hospital and took it with her and her arriving home. This story gets real interesting because several people come to her house asking about Giovanni and what he had with him and in particular did he have a journal with him. Duff and Luther, John Kenric’s men. She goes out to a club later on that evening with her friend Sloane and meets, Patrick O’Malley not knowing that is who he is and what relationship he had with John Kenric. John and Patrick were brothers aka boyo. The met at an orphanage and they help take care of one another. Unspeakable things were done to those boys in that orphanage and in the end they burned it down. John Kenric was sent their because he was the son of wealthy English aristocracy and his mother was a whore that John’s father had met but he loved her even though he was married to someone else and flaunted her and her son in front of his wife Anna. He died all of a sudden and because his father left the estate to him she sent him off to the orphanage and found a way of accessing the money. Patrick was the son of potato farmers but he was loved. Somehow his family home was burned to the ground and he was the only one left. That is how John and Patrick met. So the plot is set. Dr. Gillian Morgan has the journal and two families are fighting over it. Galen and his father Geno, two Greek sadists that didn’t mind sharing women and beating and abusing them and John and Patrick. What happens in the end. I don’t know because this at least a two part series, but it is so good that I can’t wait for the next book to come out so I can buy it. I was going to give this story a 4 and one half stars but it really did deserve 5 stars because of the plot and how it built into a crescendo.

This is a rather unusual but interesting dark mafia romance & I quite enjoyed reading it. The plot is well thought out & interesting with some unusual situations, it covers the relationship of a resourceful American female (Gillian Morgan) who is taken captive by two men (a billionaire British bad boy, John Kenric) & (his best friend & beta, Patrick O’Malley) the characters have unique personalities with deep emotional flaws.
There is: drama, intrigue, suspense, action, adventure, secrets, mystery, a missing journal, danger, threats, violence, conflict, murder, attitude issues, confrontations, insults, vengeful feelings, attacks, defiance, discipline, spankings, suspicions, strange attractions, determination & there are some explicit sexual scenes. Sadly this book ends in a cliffhanger & I look forward to the next book in this series.
A great read. I enjoyed the characters and their interactions and attraction to each other, and the storyline is intriguing and kept me fascinated throughout. It does end in a cliffhanger so beware, but I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it. I’m looking forward to the next book.

Lots of suspense and drama. I don’t really like cliffhangers, but this one kept my interest. Gillian is a doctor who gets tied up in the mob. Gillian,John and Patrick would have ended up together,I think, by fate anyway. This book may have triggers for some. Excited for the next one.
