I absolutely loved the entire series…I’m actually going to miss them!!!
I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of The Taken. This is one of the best series that I have read in years. I read over 100 books a year written by many different authors and Elicia Hyder has written something unique that is not to be missed. However, you absolutely cannot start the series with The Taken. You would not understand the ongoing saga. You must begin Sloan Jordan’s journey at the beginning with The Soul Summoner. You will be hooked and when your read all the books leading to this point you will not be disappointed with this installment. The journey for Sloan, Warren, Nathan, Adrianne and Azrael is complex and filled with surprises. Some good, some not. Anyone that is a fan of The Soul Summoner series does not want me to reveal plot spoilers. Just know that The Taken has arrived and will deliver everything that you have hoped for and more.
The Taken will keep you at the edge of your seat!! This book really blew my mind at the imagination and thought that went into it. It’s a great read!
WOW! I loved the three books before this so much, but I even love this one more! I didn’t think that was possible! I don’t know how I will wait for the next one. The battle between good and evil gets even more crazy and so many new and awesome characters arrive. Of course the previously loved characters are back – Sloan, Nathan and Warren, along with others. I laughed, cried, cheered, held my breath and loved every word I read. Elicia Hyder is a master with words. Her characters and storylines are fabulous and I will be waiting for more to come. Hopefully not too long!!
Loved this book not a stand alone book. Beware you will be addicted to Sloan Nate and Warren
I loved this series of books- all 6 of them. The heroine is part fairy, part witch and part Druid so it is a totally wonderful supernatural thriller. I can’t wait for the next installment because the story is not nearly over yet!!
I am very informed on the bible and was leery of reading this book series because I am not comfortable reading fake or false information. I found this series to hold true to most aspects of the already well know information out there and then elaborates in a way that makes you really think hmm did they pull this off or did they stray from what we know as fact, I am about 4 books in and the first three were very well done and I caught myself busting out laughing at the female character often, nice humor here for sure (that alone would get me to try a few others by the author). I really don’t know how the author plans on keeping this going without varying from the accuracy that is known in the bible much farther. I don’t read vampire/demon/angel books for that very reason but I have not found much to be critical about although this is not my normal genre.
Love this series, each book gets better and better with the humor and more secrets come out, still not sure about Azrael.
Audiobook review: This book in The Soul Summoner series is ok but not great. The story has more relationship drama and quite a bit less action than the previous one. I’m a bit disappointed as a result. However, I’m glad Nathan is moving on for the most part. The author did a good job at keeping the question of trust up in the air. The narrator did a good job.
