Very poorly written. Quite ridiculous in places and I don’t recommend it.
It made me think – imagine- and ponder my own responses to the unknown..
The main character wasn’t quite as believable as the secondary ones, but the story was still entertaining.
this book keeps you reading way past bed time. you pull for the characters only to lose some. bought the book in the 2 series so I could keep reading.
I’m a sucker for end of the world stories and this one was pretty good, there are some grammar issues but not many, characters are well written and I like how the author flips back and forth between their view points. It didn’t take me long to read and am ready to read the next one to see how the story progresses.
It could be true someday. Makes you want to continue with the series
Loved this book! I just read it a couple of days ago and I’m now on book 4 in the series. Couldn’t put it down!
Amazingly Good – I couldn’t put this book down and was so intrigued by the story that of course ended up purchasing the sequels – The Divide, The Forsaken and The Risen!!! .. Gripping and you must read them all… Well worth the time and given the current focus on climate change..definitely makes one pause and reflect!
The author can write a disaster account quite well. Something unexpected happens the characters are threatened and have to escape. First couple of chapters were great. Sadly that is all the whole book is. Chapter after chapter after chapter of some new improbable and terrible catastrophe happening that the characters must flee from and barely …
More of the same old same old. I wish the author had come up with something new.
Nice flow in reading.
I loved this book. So very realistic. !makes me think about what could happen.
Great read if you are a fan of EMP/Apocolyptical series that leave you wanting more.
I couldn’t put this book down. I had to buy the next book in the series.
What would happen if there were a cataclysmic event? This book conveys a very realistic portrait of one possible occurrence. A well crafted storyline, great characters, lots of action.
This is well worth the time to read. You will be left wanting to further explore what happens to the characters and find out what challenges are thrown at them.
Fascinating portrayal of geothermal apocalypse in modern day New England. Explores the emotions and struggles individuals faced with unbelievable natural disasters.
bad language
I enjoy most of these books but these were really good.
Awesome, a page turner.
Couldn’t put it down. A lot of tragedy, but you had to root for the main characters. Want to purchase the 2nd book and probably will in future. Well written and characters developed very well.
