My name is Chloe Saunders and my life will never be the same again. All I wanted was to make friends, meet boys, and keep on being ordinary. I don’t even know what that means anymore. It all started on the day that I saw my first ghost—and the ghost saw me. Now there are ghosts everywhere and they won’t leave me alone. To top it all off, I somehow got myself locked up in Lyle House, a “special … House, a “special home” for troubled teens. Yet the home isn’t what it seems. Don’t tell anyone, but I think there might be more to my housemates than meets the eye. The question is, whose side are they on? It’s up to me to figure out the dangerous secrets behind Lyle House . . . before its skeletons come back to haunt me.

Loved this series. Was kind of bummed it was only 3 books long! Really found it to be a page-turner for me, and it was one of the YA books that really inspired me to write in that genre.
i love this book. i can’t wait to read the next book!
My first read by this author and it definitely won’t be my last one. I’ve enjoyed reading it beginning to end while sitting on the edge of my seat not knowing what would happen next! Dying to start reading the second one ‘cuz I need to know how the story goes. It was an intriguing darkening story that left me guessing until the end as it was a …
CLIFFHANGER end of book, which I Hate. Not that great to start with. I had to push my way through to finish-only it simply stopped on betrayal and capture. Won’t be reading any more of this series, although I have enjoyed several in the Women of the Otherworld series.
This was the book that started my Kelley Armstrong obsession! I cannot get enough of her novels! Such a good YA companion to the Otherworld Series.
Chloe is such a fun narrator even though sometimes she can be unintentionally judgmental, but it’s fun to watch her grow throughout the series. Plus, supernatural creatures that aren’t love struck vampires! Heyy. I love a love struck vampire as much as the next person, but it’s nice to mix it up once in a while.
A very creative book including… Necromancers, Witches and Spell Casters, Werewolves, Shamans, Half Demons, you get my drift. How can she come up with these ideas? I have absolutely no idea, but I wish I did so I could be as talented a writer as her. She is my all-time, absolute favorite author an I’ve read just about all her books. My favorite …
I absolutely loved this series
I love this series. It’s a good example of quality YA urban fantasy. It’s well written and the characters are interesting and the plot has tons of tension. The magic and world are fascinating. I wish there was more to it! I know there’s a spin-off trilogy, but it doesn’t sound like it has anything to do with the characters in this trilogy.
This book was amazing. I could not wait to read all 3 of the books.
Poor, poor Chloe. Can she get a break? Apparently not. Chloe is an average girl in high school who, of all things, gets her period during the course of the schoolday. Immediately, she begins seeing ghosts and is sent to a group home. Lyle House is alright for Chloe until she discovers dark secrets inside the house. This book was very, very good. I …
This is my absolute favorite young adult series. Kelley Armstrong broke so many cliches with her characters and her main character, Chloe, is so mature and likable. I’ve always been drawn to books with ghostly twists and strong female characters.
ooooooooooooooooooooofffffffffffffffffff
Love this book. I spent long winter days reading in my reading nook.
A slow start but the build is good
This is the first book I’ve read that has actually creeped me out! Kelley Armstrong is so good at describing creepy situations and things. I love her characters and her talent for bringing some supernatural elements to the normal world.
