He swore to never come back. She promised to hold him to his word. After years of living the life his oppressive parents wanted for him, Cameron Blake is ready to pursue his dreams of being a reclusive artist. Pleasing the faithful baseball fans of the New York Emperors has been rewarding, but now all he wants is peace and quiet. That and an irreversible vasectomy. Because there’s no way he’s … way he’s passing on the heavy burden of the Blake genes to an innocent child. But Cameron never gets what he wants. Ever.
The last thing Adrianna Arenas needs is for her ex to slide back into her life. Not when she can throw a nine-year-old curve ball that will change his game. Not when his father could tear her world apart with a simple phone call. Especially not when, despite everything that stands between them, her insides go wild when Cameron walks into a room. But Adri never gets to keep things the way she needs them. Ever.
After ten years, fate brings Cameron face-to-face with Adrianna, the woman he never forgot, and the little girl that ties them forever.
It all goes back to the secrets, jealousy, and heartache that destroyed the magical summer when they loved each other madly, broke each other’s hearts, and changed each other’s lives.
Read this second chance romance and find out if Adri and Cam’s story goes on the win column for love.

Steamy story you won’t be able to put down. This is a story about young love that overreacts which leads to years of distance between them.
When a brave feisty little girl only 9 yrs old leaves school to go see art work in the city. She comes face to face with the artist. It doesn’t take long for Cam to understand this little spitfire little girl is the daughter of his long lost high school girl friend, Adrianna.
Bronwyn is in big trouble as her mom finds out that she left school and made it to the city to see the art show of her favorite artist.
Cameron knows Adrianna will be worried sick. So he returns Bron to her mother, finding her even more beautiful 10 yrs later.
Can Cameron and Adrianna even be able to have a conversation with out having an argument? Will either listen long enough to know what happen 10 yrs ago? How does Bron fit in to this story? How will Cam handle those who impacted his life 10 yrs ago and denied him information that would change his life?
I really enjoyed this story. I love Bron and how she is so observant and speaks her mind. I would recommend reading this story. It is steamy but the story will not disappoint. Thank you to book sirens for complimentary copy. The thoughts and opinions are my own.
HOLY FREAKIN WOW!! I received this ARC for my honest review. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! This book reads like watching a Hallmark movie. Cam and Adrianna were high school sweethearts that are torn apart and Adrianna’s last words to him were I never want to see you again and she doesn’t. One day while Cam was at a gallery for his paintings when this little spitfire of a girl comments on one of his paintings. He’s fascinated by her and thinks she looks really familiar and asks her name she tells him Bronwyn Arenas and it floors him. Talk about cuteness overload. The author couldn’t have portrayed Bron’s character any better. She’s a typical nine year old girl she asks a million questions and she definitely speaks her mind. Lol. She’s really smart and a talented artist. She definitely takes after her Dad and guess who that is. Lol. I instantly fell in love with her. At times I was laughing out loud and then I was crying and couldn’t see to read. The suspense was so intense I couldn’t read fast enough to find out what happens next. When Cam realizes who Bron’s mother is and that she came to see hum on her own he knows he has to take her home. The secondary characters were such an essential part of making this book so wonderful. You can almost feel the characters emotions coming off the pages. The sex scenes are off the charts smokin HOT! WOW! Ladies prepare to break out your B.O.B. LOl. This is my first book by this author and I can’t wait to get on to the next book. I highly recommend this book to everyone.
A second chance romance and so much more. This is my first book by this author and I’m already downloading the 2nd book in this series.
Cameron Blake is done with baseball, and now he can paint all he wants. But he wasn’t expecting was to find a little girl all
Y herself at one of his showings. When he takes her home and finds out that his one true love, Adrianna Arenas is her Mom and that Bron is his. He vowed to never had kids and never wanted them until his little girl showed up in his life. Now he couldn’t imagine not having her.
Adrianna never thought Cam would be back it that he would know his daughter. But he’s here and they have to navigate their past and future relationship together with their little girl.
There are secrets that need to be said. Things need to be figured out but when all hell breaks loose these two need each other the most.
We get everything in this book. And I would highly recommend it to any romance lover.
I received an ARC in return for an honest review. Let me start by saying I like the idea of this book. I always enjoy a good secret baby. Here’s my issue. I needed some sort of build up. We start the story automatically with Cam finding out. I feel like it would’ve been better if he came back to town they saw each other maybe started building a relationship or even just a friendship and then he found out later on. And where was all his anger? You had a child that you didn’t know about for nine years and you’re not even mad at her! You want to automatically get into a relationship. I know I should be glad she got the benefit of the doubt but I needed a little more drama.
Now, let’s talk about this big reason Adrianna is afraid of Cam’s dad. I feel like every time I read a book that has this “big secret” that they won’t reveal it because they think their lover will leave them for it and then it isn’t as bad as it seems. I felt the same way about this one.
Overall, I did enjoy it but just expected a little more drama.
They each promised never to look back of go back to one another. He has lived a life his parents wanted but now all he wants is to live alone and paint. She has hidden a secret from him so when they accidentally meet up.again, he may just learn her secret. Will she let him know? What is it? Will it being them together? See what will happen

Oh I love secret babies and second chance for love romances. Just like this one. Cameron never expected to ever see Adrianna again until his nine year old daughter came to find him. Ten years of secrets and lies that separated these two lovers, reunited through the love of their daughter despite the greedy machinations of Cameron’s father. Wonderful story, I loved reading it! Don’t you just love the title? So romantic.

I received a free copy of this book however all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
I loved this! It grabbed me from the first page, kept me til the last and enthralled me in between. Well worth your time to read it.
One man will destroy Cameron Blake and Adrianna Arenas lives ten years ago, now that Cam has come back to his hometown will he do it again? This story has to be read to see what happened back then. What a story! This is a new Author to me. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
They were teenage sweethearts for a summer that had so much promise and one misunderstanding turned happiness into so much hurt and anger. Cameron took his father up on his offer and left town leaving Adrianna to pick up the pieces. Nine years later he is at an art gallery when a precocious little girl criticizes his work. Little does he know that she would change his life and give him back everything he thought he lost.

There is a lot going on in this story. And it’s well conducted. The characters are interesting and a bit mess up. The daughter bring some lightness and humour. I really enjoyed reading it.

The summer I love You was the first book I’ve ever read from this author.
I like second chances romance so when I started to read this book I hope that it will be good one. I like also when second chances giving me a little drama… because then book can be deadly goreous.
What I liked the most was the tension between Adrianna and Cam…
I love to read when I have this kind of passion in my books. Your heart can beating so strong that You can hardly breathe . .. Yes I love feel this way during reading my books.
J.L.Lora have very wicked plan with The Summer I love You… This tittle is very adequate for what, You find in this story,
Summer is hot and steamy sometimes, right ? And that how for me this book was write.
Adrianna and Cam have common past . They even have one thing together, which reminds Adrianna how quickly love can change Your world forever.
When You met them …. You know they perfect for each other, but sometimes forgiveness is the most complicated thing in our lifes. If You want to move on there’s only 2 ways out – give up everything or take Your chance for happiness back.
I loved this second chance romance, for sure I come back for more to this author .
Some people should never be parents, especially, those who’ve purposely ruined their children’s lives by telling deceitful lies and keeping secrets from them, all the while selfishly taking from them. Those lies and secrets can force someone to make decisions that will have consequences and affect so many others. This is the premise of The Summer I Loved You, an emotional and angsty second chance love story that proves Fate can rectify past mistakes, even if it takes a while to do so.
Cameron Blake decided to quit a successful baseball career, something his father pushed into, and become the artist he’s always wanted to be. When he meets a young admirer he discovers a secret someone kept from him, for too many years. He’d never forgotten Adrianna, the girl he fell in love with and left him bitter when they broke up, so many years ago. And he wants to make up for the time lost.
“I’m just your summer fun and summer’s over, so it’s back to the real world.”
Adrianna Arenas made a mistake years ago, when she was too young to know better, and she and her daughter, Bronwyn, paid the price for it. When she has the chance to correct it, Adrianna decides to take a chance, despite her fears that there might be consequences that will harm her family. Now that Cameron knows the truth, and he wants to be a part of Bronwyn’s life, Adri’s not sure if she’s going to be a part of it, too. But it turns out she might not have a say, because Cameron plays to win.
“I’m telling you that everything in the last ten years of my life has been only about you. I ran from you but you were never far away. I sketched you without meaning to. You were in everything I did. You still are.”
When Cameron Blake hears a dissenting opinion of his art at one of his showings, he’s surprised to find the non-fan is a young girl of about 9 years old. She’s bright, she’s bold and she’s opinionated. And she somehow ignites protective feelings in him that Cameron didn’t even know he possessed, and he finds himself escorting her home in his limo. Imagine his (and Bron’s mother’s) surprise when Bron’s mother turns out to be Cam’s ex of about 10 years. Hmm…
When Adrianna Arenas hears from her daughter’s school that Bronwyn skipped that day, she’s frantic. As a single mother to the light of her life, she’s the quintessential over-protective mom who worries incessantly about her daughter’s safety. But when Bron skips in and unknowingly brings Adrianna’s ex into her life, how will Adriana (and Cam and Bron) react to the news that Cam is Bron’s father? Yikes! Cue the angsty good times. But not over the top in any way. Just a lot of time spent rebuilding trust and finding that their love had never died and that Cam’s parents had truly done both of them a disservice in more ways than one.
The Summer I Loved You is a wonderful second chance romance. Cam and Adrianna were real characters with realistic problems and realistic behavior. Their second chance did not come easily to them. No, they had to work extremely hard to overcome their past issues, and to overcome what Cam’s parents had done to them. J.L. Lora did a fabulous job here, and I am very definitely looking forward to more from her.
Wonderful second-chance romance. Young love can be so foolish which lead to a separation for Adrianna and Cam. As Cam works to change is career away from baseball and to his true passion, art, he doesn’t expect to cross paths with such a captivating and precocious fan in Bronwyn. As Cam is reunited with his first and only love, he finds out he is a father, something he never expected to be based on the crappy example that his father provided. The connection between Cam and Bron is fabulous. As these three work to build a life together, they have to weather some crazy drama from Cam’s parents. I loved how Adrianna and Cam struggled to be together. You could feel the love they still had for each other but their trust had to be rebuilt. The road to finding happiness together again wasn’t easy which added a true depth to this journey. The building of a family made this a pleasure to read. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
