From best-selling author Melanie Summers comes a seriously romantic, laugh-out-loud tale of a single mum and the man who restores her faith in love… disinheritance, Leo must find a job, rent a home, and grow up. With nowhere to turn, Leo moves to Santa Valentina Island, where his sister-in-law helps him find work as a bellboy at the Paradise Bay Resort. Little does he know that dealing with people’s baggage will make him examine his own. Will he check out or find that a long-term reservation is on his itinerary?
Twenty-six-year-old single mum Brianna Lewis (a.k.a. Bree) doesn’t believe in fairy tales—not after being abandoned by the father of daughter, Isabelle. A law student by day and concierge by night, Bree’s determined to give Isabelle the life she never had. Suddenly finding herself in dire straits, she converts her garden shed into a rental suite in hopes of climbing out of the financial hole she’s in. But when the only person interested in renting the suite turns out to be to Leopold Davenport, the ridiculously good-looking co-worker she loves to hate, she knows she must choose between being happy and being broke. But as she gets to know him, she discovers there may be more to him than flirty smiles and empty charm.
Can Leopold make the leap from ultimate playboy to become the man Bree needs in her life?
Will Bree allow herself to believe in happily-ever-afters or will she play it safe and hang a do-not-disturb sign on her heart?

Leo is the wealthy layabout who has been cutoff from his family’s money after one too many wrong indiscretions. To find his way back into the fold, he must become a functional adult for six months. Bree is a single mother studying to become a lawyer while also dealing with her sister’s upcoming wedding, trying to keep her momzilla at bay from trying to marry her off, too, as Bree has no intention of doing anything of the kind. Then Rosy hires Leo and Bree becomes his direct supervisor, presenting a problem for her because she assumes Leo is everything she claims to hate in a person.
This is a great addition to the Paradise Bay series that I very much enjoyed reading and I look forward to the next to come from this author.
The Suit Life: I chuckled, cringed, wept, and sighed throughout this novel as Bree and Leo struggled to find common ground. Leo has been banished by his father after a totally gauche error in judgment, whilst Bree is struggling to keep all her balls in the air as a single Mom, student, and night shift concierge. Forced into close proximity with one another, Bree is irritated and outspoken regarding the new hire. However, having him as her tenant makes her realize that she has been hasty in her judgment. Leo’s ability to have fun and create something positive out of a negative is an eye-opener for the overly serious Bree. As things get serious between them, their world comes crashing down and one despairs for the couple. The chemistry between Bree and Leo is tangible, but little Izzy’s contribution takes this novel up another notch. I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic comedy, which is a standalone and comes to a romantic and happy conclusion.
Bree and Leo are such an unlikely couple. A single mom working to get by and a playboy with no cares in the world. After being cutoff from his family, Leo has to start to earn his living and Bree doesn’t want to give them the time of day. Their journey together is so genuine, and made me smile the entire time. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, and while Leo’s outburst broke my heart, you ultimately know where he’s coming from. I also love the glimpses we get of past characters in this series. Another knockout series by Melanie!
I don’t know when exactly it happened, but ever since I started reading the Crown Jewels series – I’ve become this crazy super fan of Ms. Summers. I just love her books, her writing style and the way she sucks me into her books. I find myself only wanting to read and sadly ignoring all my adulting obligations (good thing my kids are teenagers and can sort of feed themselves). These stories are fun to read – it’s like reading a Rom-Com movie. They are funny, witty, full of sexy characters that have you laughing and crying and cheering when they get their HEA. Thank you for writing such great books and for keeping me so thoroughly entertained.
This is a MUST have author to include in your book collection. BUY these books!!!!
Happy reading…enjoy!
The Suite Life is an easy, quick read that will make you feeling good and happy.
This is the third book in the Paradise Bay series and it could be read as a stand alone but if I were you I’d hate to miss the previous books because they are all golden.
Leo and Brianna, our main characters, can’t be more different, rich and spoiled the first, independent and swamped the latter.
When their lives collide they don’t get off on the right foot but day after day they grow on each other becoming friends and who knows maybe they could even learn something new and important from their past experiences.
I’ve spent a full day with these characters and I wasn’t ready to say goodbye in the end.
I really hope to read Will’s story soon
I guffawed, chortled, and snorted my way through this book. Leo Davenport is the ne’er do well son of very wealthy parents who sustain his profligate lifestyle. His escapades cause his parents to cut him off they, will only turn on the money spigot when he spends six months working, not drinking, womanizing and taking care of himself. Since part of the deal is that he must find a place to live and work, his brother’s girlfriend gets him an interview at the resort her family owns. He starts working as a bellboy, reporting to Briana Lewis. Briana is a single mum trying to balance her job, studying for the bar, motherhood, her Bridezilla sister and mum. She needs to make a little extra cash, so she ends up renting out out her shed as a garden suite to Leo. Leo is hilarious, and such a sweet character, he brings out the best in Briana. This has been a delightful series!
This is a sweet, fun, engaging journey filled with very relatable charters, laugh out loud moments, brilliant witty banter, heart racing twists and slow simmering but undeniable passion…. was a great read! Really enjoyed this adventure from beginning to end and look forward to more!
A romantic story that will have you laughing out loud! It’s funny, it’s charming and seriously fun to read. This is the final book in the series so grab your copy today, along with books 1 & 2 and start reading, you’ll be glad you did.

Working in Paradise
This book is the third in a series that takes place on a Caribbean Island. This story is R-rated as it is a lot spicier than the previous 2 episodes. The story is good. The reader always knows where the story will end up, it is the journey that is the most fun. I loved the author’s note at the beginning. I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
I had lots of fun reading this story. The characters are well developed and engaging and plenty of chemistry from beginning to the end. Storyline flowed smoothly.

Bree is a single mom working at the resort, and going to law school. She has no time, and no patience for b.s. Leo’s living large off his parents’ money, working hard at not working. His dad cuts him off, forcing him to become an adult. Once he’s working, he realizes how easy his life has been. These two are on a slow burn for much of this book. I enjoyed seeing Leo grow up to become the man that he was always capable of being, and everything that Bree needs, and watching Bree grow into a less judgmental person. There is good chemistry and amusing banter between these two. This was a great book, easy to read.

Leo Davenport comes from a wealthy family, the youngest son, and happy to be the bad-boy, irresponsible playboy without a care in the world, despite the damage it causes his family’s reputation and businesses. His father decides to take action and sends him away for 6 months, where he will be forced to find a job, earn his own living, and grow up! Bree Lewis is a single mom, talented and hard-working as the head concierge of the Paradise Bay Resort on a Caribbean island, Santa Valentina.
As anticipated, Leo makes a mess of things and clients complain. Fortunately, his Chef sister-in-law, Emma, steps in and saves his job before they fire him. Bree tries to raise more money to help pay for her law studies and support her family by converting a storage room behind her house. Leo rents it from her and, as she gets to know him, she sees there is more to him than the guy he seems to be. Can Bree and her family teach him to mature into a caring person? Can he teach her to open her heart again and give him a chance?
This was another good story in this series that gives the reader a good insight into “real” people who are not perfect but need someone out there to believe in them. Grab your copy and enjoy the story line!
Super excited to move onto Leo’s HEA, but I really am interested to hear about Will’s- I can only hope that it’s still coming. However, even if it’s not, Leo’s story was pure gold.
Seriously hilarious turns of events. Plus, I found a kindred spirit in the butterfly phobia.
I loved it. A perfect blend of humor and family and life’s difficulties. Another amazing book.

As much a comedy as it is a romance, The Suite Life finds the humor in a lazy playboy being exiled and forced to clean up his act. I’ll openly admit that at the start of the book, I wasn’t convinced our hero had any redeeming qualities whatsoever, but Leo most definitely won me over by the end. When paired with an overworked, independent single mom, Leo stepped up to the plate and turned into a great guy. As a super slow burn and (mostly) clean romance, if you’re looking for steam then you’ll probably want to look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for a light and fun read that features a couple whose connection gets deeper with every page, look no further.
The story follows Leo, a 27-year-old who is taking retirement in reverse. He’s living the good life while he’s still young enough to enjoy it, happily living off his wealthy parents and keeping his act just clean enough that his father won’t cut him off. Unfortunately, his latest tryst crossed the line, and now his father has given him an ultimatum – get (and keep) a job, find a place to live, no sex, no booze… and if he can keep that up for 6 months, life will go back to normal. As Leo enters the workforce for the first time, he begins to realize just how good he’s had it – especially compared to the way his coworker Bree has been living. As a single mom working her way through law school, she has zero free time and no patience for a guy whose entire life has been a vacation. But these opposites attract, and once Leo starts helping Bree, the differences between them start to fall away.
There’s something about Melanie Summers’ writing style that just works for me – it’s light, funny, romantic, and makes the pages fly by. I wasn’t completely sold on this one at first, because these two took a while to grow on me, but by the end I was loving the story. Leo redeems himself in a big way, and proved himself many times throughout the book. This is true romantic comedy, focusing on the humor as much as the romance, and The Suite Life takes it one step further by forcing our hero to abstain from sex. It’s possibly too slow of a burn, but I also liked that the focus was on the couple’s emotional connection. I’m glad I stuck around to see that connection bloom throughout the course of the book.

Funny and utterly charming. A wonderful, feel-good book with a HEA which, at times looked unlikely. The author was new to me but is now among my 5 favourite writers. I was crying with laughter at times. The book does have many serious moments and deals with some pretty serious grown-up stuff that we all face at times. Human relationships are never easy to maintain at an even keel so our heroes, multitasking single mum Brianna and carefree playboy Leo find challenged due to insecurities and lack of ability to think outside their own confines. Their characters, as well as the supporting characters, are very well developed and described in detail and the author had a new approach to working the turn of events into the storyline. It is a clean romance but it sizzles with anticipation. Growing up emotionally is hard but Leo finds that doing so gives him the self-respect he never felt and also gets the girl in the process.

This is the third book in this series. I did not enjoy it like the second one but it was still good. It was humorous and unforgettable. Leo and Brianna were a great couple. I hope to read more by Melanie Summers in the future.

Another Paradise Bay Romance!
Leo and Bree- woah boy talk about opposites attract!
I have to say I was not convinced they belonged together throughout MOST of the book.
Here’s the deal-
Leo is this rolling in the dough man child, woe is me attitude, swagger, and dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to everyday life scenarios. Bree is a scorned single mama, overworked, studying to become a lawyer- with enough stubborn sass to fill Texas.
When they’re put together at work.. its a storm of epic proportions – hormones, fists of fury mix with a hefty dose of confusion- basically an EF5 Tornado that just keeps circling.
The back and forth banter was great; Bree’s daughter and her Aunt fantastic. Leo and Bree’s constant do and don’t- drove me bonkers.
The whole time I am glued to this rollercoaster storyline I think this is just not right.
Then BOOM!
Spectacularly – it all comes together, just right, making perfect sense, like I knew they should have been that way all along ( say what now? )
………….
I should know better than to question Ms. Summers’s writing techniques! My bad!
‘ The Suite Life ‘ turned out to be a sweet romance that not only surprised me but left me happier than when I started reading!
Brianna has a goal in her life, become a lawyer an de give her daughter a good life. She works hard at Paradise ya resort during the day and study whenever she can to pass her exams. Leo has been living the happy life of so long that when his parents force him to work for six month without drinking or partying with women, he is not sure he can accomplish it. Can two people so different have a happy future together? Can they take the best of themselves when they are together? A funny and lovely story that will keep you reading until the end. I volunteered to read an advanced copy of The Suite Life . I really enjoyed reading this story . Leo Davenport privileged party boy has embarrassed his snobish Lord Aalistar and Lady Bunny for the last time . He is banned from Avonia his home after he caused a scandal of epic proportion . Forced to sign an agreement to clean up his act .No women ,No drinking , find a place to live , get a job for 6 months . Leo hasn’t got a clue how to do pretty much anything . That in itself makes for alot of intertainment . Brianna Lewis concierge at Paradise Bay Resort , future Barraster and her unique and silly family add their selves in the mix and of course sparks between Leo and Brianna you could ask for a funnier story . I highly recommend this hilarious heartwarming all out fantastic tale .
