It wasn’t as if Everett Hudson didn’t believe in love. It was more like he didn’t have time for love. Hard-working and career driven, the most important thing for him was to have a secure future and his entire world only revolved around achieving that. Well, that was until he ended up blurting out to his family that he was dating a co-worker and introduced her to his family as his fake fiancee.… fiancee.
The main reason that Alexa Stone moved to Irving was to support her family even more, financially speaking. The most important thing in her life was her family and she didn’t have time for anything else. But then she met Everett and what started out as an innocent crush turned into teetering at the cliff of falling in love when she agreed to fake a relationship with him.
Would they allow themselves to freely fall in love or would their principles get in the way of what their hearts truly wanted?
This is a standalone steamy contemporary romance novel with no cheating and a guaranteed HEA.

This book was fabulous! This was part three of the Hudson Brothers series. Everett and Alexa were wonderful characters! Everett had always been very smart and career driven. He had never been in love or even in a relationship with anyone for any length of time. But when Everett first laid eyes on Alexa in that bar, he had an undying connection to her. Alexa had her own reasons for not persuing a relationship with anyone. Her family depended on her financially because her brother was disabled and was in and out of the hospital. Everett and Alexa started carrying on a “fake relationship” so his family would lay off of him about finding the perfect woman. Then they started having real feelings for each other. Can they make room in their lives for each other? This book is a must read and I highly recommend!
A charming love story, mostly simmering on the back burner until someone turned up the heat!
The most unlikely couple but isn’t that often the way that true love is? This is Everett’s story in the Hudson Brothers series. He was married to his job, he didn’t date but something about the new forensic scientist made him want to. They’d met before but he was too reserved to express his feelings. He hid behind his work & treated her like his assistant rather than his equal but his high walls were crumbling down. She agreed to pretend to be his fiance so his brothers would stop ribbing him but the pretence evolved into the real deal. Quirky, charming & sexy with a hea. SO enjoying this author. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
I really liked Everett.
He’s decent (and that’s so foxy). At twenty five, he’s not into partying and clubbing (also extremely foxy). And he’s a little bit awkward (so foxy).
He met Alexa a month ago and then she moved to town and and under the pretense of a fake, it’s been real since day one.

The third book in the Hudson brothers series and a fabulous one at that. Everett is the considerate and caring brother who gives advice but this time he needs to work things out for himself mostly. He meets the very sexy red head Alexa in a club but things aren’t all that easy and get complicated. Who doesn’t love a complicated love story and we lots of that but this one with Everett & Alexa is sweet, romantic, aukwardly amusing and heartbreaking too. An amazing book, a must read xx
This is book 3 in the series. This is Everett and Alexa story. This book will grab your attention from the beginning and keep it till the end of the book. Great characters from this book as well as the series so far.

4.4 stars
This is the third book in the Hudson Brothers series and it is Everett’s story. Everett has always been more of an introvert and does not like to be around large crowds. However, when his brothers take him out to a bar, his life is in for a jolt. Alexa is with her best friend, Olivia, at the bar when out of the blue a drink is spilled on her giving Everett the opening to start chatting her up. As it is so not Everett’s style, the two decide to leave and get coffee. After Alexa makes an abrupt decision, she leaves but not before leaving Everett with a kiss. Time goes by and the two are surprisingly reunited when she shows up in his office as his new colleague. Thanksgiving arrives and due to the third degree by his family, Everett makes the bold statement that Alexa is his girlfriend, thus creating a fake relationship at least until his brother Leo’s wedding; however, they both get more than they bargain for. Can these two get their happily ever after? An enjoyable read from start to finish but I would have liked a little more drama with regards to the love letters pertaining to the case that Everett was working on. I cannot wait for the next book and I hope it is Julian’s story!

Definitely they are hot brothers and Everett is one of them. He is the serious one, but don’t make mistake he could be hottest if he just let it go.
All work and no play ….and he found himself in a night club.
Alexa , is smart and beautiful. The sparks start to sizzle between them but nothing happened.
A few weeks later she showed up at his workplace, she is the new forensic scientist in his office.
The chemistry between these two are sizzling hot.

Loved this continuation of the Hudson brothers series. Everett is the serious scientist in the family. All work and no play makes Everett a boring person. Then he meets Alexa in a club one night and and the sparks start to sizzle between them. A few weeks later unknown to Everett,Alexa is the new forensic scientist in his office. Loved the chemistry between these two.

4.5 Stars!
I’d been dying for Everett’s book since he first appeared in The Broken Love. There’s something about the smart, quiet ones that I find irresistible!
Everett was so sincere and earnest, and said/did so many sweet things. Quite simply, he made my heart melt, took it, and ran. Just… wow!
Alexa was a perfect match for Ev, but the both got in their own way which frustrated me a bit. Couldn’t they see how perfect they were together?!?
I was absolutely loving this book, until the last time Alexa brought up her priorities. Why, Alexa? Why!!!!!
I’m itching to find out what has Julian so contemplative!

This is a great addition to the series. Everett is a sort of nerdy hot guy. He seems to usually be in the shadows of his brothers. His passion is his career. When his brother decides to help him with a hook up something happens to him and he has this instant attraction to Alexa. She came to Irving for a new job. She has family commitments that keep her focused on work and family. Then they stumble across each other again on the way to work. The real surprise comes when Alexa is the new hire as another forensic scientist. It’s the coincidences that result in them both handling the attraction to each other and how each handles their priorities that set them up to fail in a relationship. Both characters are so likable. There are so many little situations that make this so fun like when Everett created a fort. I could just picture a big guy climbing out of that. This story made me enjoy the journey they take to realize what they really want. I appreciated how the author included the previous characters from the series. I also liked the reminders of who each character is. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This story is fantastic! The Hudson brother are falling in love and this time it’s Everett’s turn. Always the serious one, Everett works as a forensic scientist for the Irving Police Department. When he finds out he’s getting a coworker, he’s not very happy. He enjoys working in the lab by himself and he’s very dedicated to his job. The kicker, his new partner is Alexa Stone, a girl he met in a bar when his brother’s forced an encounter with her by spilling Everett’s drink on her. Everett took her for coffee and the two hit it off. Now as his partner, he is acting more like her boss but soon he sees she’s good at what she does. When Thanksgiving comes around and he learns she’s alone, he insists she join his family. This leads to his brother teasing him and causing him to blurt out that he and Alexa are dating when one of his brothers wants to make a play for her. Surprisingly, Alexa is willing to go along with it, at least until after his brother Leo’s wedding. Everett and Alexa find themselves getting closer but both have other priorities. When the wedding is over and Everett has realized he wants more time with Alexa, she asks him to say something he can’t find a way to express. It takes Alexa being gone for Everett to realize that what he feels is love and for Alexa’s mother to tell her that sometimes you have to risk heartbreak to find the right one, that they realize that they have fallen in love with each other. A letter and a cup of coffee bring the two back together to begin their journey to their happily ever after.

They met by chance when his brother spilled a drink on her at a bar and had Everett handle the fallout. He never expected that when the police department told him that they were hiring a new Forensic Scientist that it would be the woman from the bar. Alexa has had her fair share of odd experiences and she is about to get another. As these two unlikely individuals work and get to know each other, Everett’s family drama will either help him or hurt his chances for a happily ever after with Alexa. Will they ever get to the happily ever after?
