What was it about her that made him act out of character? What was it about him that made her blood boil? They will find out soon enough. It’s Naomi Hart’s wedding day but she isn’t heading to the church. She is on a train heading to Idaho. Carl Saunders had asked her to marry him in his letters and also sent enough money for her journey. But when she steps in the handsome sheriff’s ranch, she … in the handsome sheriff’s ranch, she finds out that Carl didn’t send those letters and in fact, he wasn’t aware of her arrival at all. What is she going to do now? Going back is not an option.

Neither one of them is willing to put their ego on the side. Neither one of them can stop the addictive need of angering the other. Will that tension between them evolve into a strong emotion or will it drive them away and crash their hearts?
In the meantime, the groom she left at the altar is coming for her and his intentions are not good at all. Will Naomi and Carl resolve their issues or will Carl leave her to this lone shark’s hands?

It’s her wedding day! Instead of going to the church,Naomi went straight to the train station. Only thing on her mind was to get far away as fast as she could from Will. He is now her ex-fiance after leaving him at the altar. Naomi answers an ad for a mail order bride. Benjamin, her father borrowed money from a loan shark to help with bills when her mother was very ill. Will is a despicable and vile man. Demanding he paid, if not he told Naomi’s father he would marry his daughter as repayment. In her letters,Karl Saunders,Sheriff for the county tells his feelings, and that he would marry her. Sending enough money for her trip to Idaho.
Naomi finds out Karl never wrote the letters, and knows nothing about this arrangement. Winston, Karl’s brother makes a confession to Naomi that he wrote the letters and apologizes to her.Naomi liked Karl at first glance, he was so handsome with most gorgeous blue eyes, but what an uncontrollable temper, stubborn, hotheaded and very jealous. Winston is so calm and easygoing about everything. He begs Naomi to please stay Karl will come around, and realize what a beautiful person she is.
Etta Foster this story was unbelievable. So many twists and turns.Emotions were intense. This kept me turning the pages.
Naomi runs away on her wedding day! She refuses to marry the mean old loan shark who has insisted her father give her to him in lieu of his debt. Naomi runs away to Idaho to become a mail order bride. The problem is Winston was the one writing the letters pretending to be his brother Carl! Naomi and Carl have instant chemistry but Carl is so furious over his brothers deception he refuses Naomi. The chase is on to get Carl to fall for her not realizing the stubborn sheriff already has. He thinks she’s lying and deceitful and when the loan shark appears he fears he was right! They easily rule each other up! There is a lot of arguing and fighting over nothing. Carl is determined to find the worst in her so he can keep denying his feelings! Naomi is stubborn and refuses to give up knowing she can’t go back to Pennsylvania and the evil loan shark who has continued to search for her. I enjoyed the playful arguing but not the nasty names he called her. I loved Winston and the immediate brotherly connection he felt for Naomi. The characters were funny sometimes without meaning too. The other characters were great! There was also adventure and suspense thrown in for good measure ! I really enjoyed this book and the HEA!
A well written story I enjoyed reading. Carl’s brother, Winston, signs sheriff Carl up for a mail order bride when Naomi Hart shows up the are sparks flying. Two stubborn people who will not give the other a chance.
Ok, this was not my favorite book. It had promise that wasn’t completely realized. Carl was the sheriff in a small town in Idaho. Naomi had run from an arranged married with a loan shark in Philadelphia to pay her father’s debt. Winston is Carl’s brother who sent away for a mail-order bride for his brother Carl.
I had a hard time finishing the book but I did to give it a fair chance. I was disappointed because there was so much arguing and name calling. Stubborn and Feisty are accurate descriptions of the characters but it went way beyond enjoyable. Carl’s interactions with Naomi were abusive. Even in his own thoughts, he thought about spanking her several times because she didn’t behave the way he though she should. Almost every interaction between the two characters was full of tension and animosity.
It was a clean story with no foul language or sex but it wasn’t necessarily the kind of book I like to escape to when I read a sweet romance.
I was given an arc copy of this book and I willingly offer my honest review. I gave it a three because I really wanted to like the story but was disappointed.
It’s a story that’s well worth reading. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. An easy to read with good character development.
My free opinion. Thanks
