THE STORE IS WATCHING YOU. Jacob and Megan Brandeis have gotten jobs with the mega-successful, ultra-secretive Store. Seems perfect. Seems safe. But their lives are about to become anything but perfect, anything but safe. ALWAYS WATCHING. Especially since Jacob and Megan have a dark secret of their own. They’re writing a book that will expose the Store–a forbidden book, a dangerous book. ALWAYS. forbidden book, a dangerous book.
ALWAYS.
And if the Store finds out, there’s only one thing Jacob, Megan and their kids can do–run for their bloody lives. Which is probably impossible, because–
THE STORE IS ALWAYS WATCHING.

This book really makes you think about big brother
It was a fantastic read. Really gave me a lot to think about when it comes to the big box stores, and how much they really are involved in our day to lives.
A little slow going
This book is the only James Patterson book that I thought was boring. Seems like it was a Grisham store done with tech. So disappointed. I wait and watch for new Patterson books and get engrossed in the store delightfully. Not this book. I keep thinking when is this going to be over. Since I bought the book I made myself read it.
Worst waste of words ever. Don’t read this nothing book. Patterson must really be hurting for cash to have put his name on this read.
Possibly a look at the future with the Blue Store..
Just ok
I know James Patterson has had his issues with Amazon and this book seemed like it was targeted at the big-bad-invasive Amazon look-alike. Once I got past the vendetta against “the Store”, the book was pretty entertaining and had a great twist at the end. Good read.
Really a good short story. Padded to make book length.
Thinly concealed commentary on Amazon. But, it was entertaining.
Makes you think about possibilities in the future
You need a good imagination for this one. Not my kind of book. Very unreal
Quintessential Patterson! Don’t miss this one!
I am a big Patterson fan, but found this one to be a little disappointing. There was a twist, which helped by adding a bit of a “wow” factor. I would still recommend. I think I had seen so much hype prior to the release that I just expected more, but still entertaining.
I enjoyed this book because it was not realistic. A fun and quick read.
I love James Patterson
Reminds me of Amazon
Far fetched but it makes you think
Worst book Paterson has published.
very predictable- would be better as a short story
This book seemed more like the author does not like a certain online retailer so renamed it as “The Store”. I am sad to say this book is not only poorly written but there are no surprises as you read along. New Yorkers Jacob and Megan are sidelined from their careers as journalists and get jobs working for The Store an online mega enterprise that uses drones, surveillance cameras, and other ways of tracking people. Jacob, Megan and their two children are relocated to New Burg, Nebraska one of the towns with a fulfillment center to work on a warehouse line. The story continues to bog down with daily snippets of New Burg featuring the family and others while Jacob and Megan work on a secret book about The Store. I finished reading the book and I can honestly say the end was no better than the beginning.
