A memorable night of passion refuses to stay just a memory in this sizzling and scandalous romance from bestselling author T L Swan.I was upgraded to first class on a flight from London to New York. The food, champagne, and service were impeccable. The blue-eyed man sitting next to me, even better. He was suave and intelligent. We talked and laughed, and something clicked. Fate took over and the … and something clicked.
Fate took over and the plane was grounded, and we had an unexpected stopover for the night.
With no plans, we made our own.
We danced and laughed our way around Boston and had a night of crazy passion that no woman would ever forget.
That was twelve months ago, and I haven’t heard from him—until today.
I started a new job and met the CEO. You can imagine my surprise to see those naughty blue eyes dance with delight when he saw me across the mahogany desk.
But I’m not that carefree girl anymore. My life has changed, I have responsibilities.
I just got an email.
He wants to see me in his office for a private meeting at 8:00 a.m.
Naughty blue eyes have no place in the workplace.
What kind of private meeting does he have in mind?

An absolute must read. Couldn’t put it down!
I hate it when I read a book and there is something missing. The story is ok-ish but it doesn’t flow naturally, like the author maybe tried to hard. And the repetition of some key words or expressions drove me nuts. Everybody “smirks”. The H kisses with just the right amount of suction. And there was so much unnecessary drama!
Eh…I am not sure where I am at with this one. I didn’t LOVE it, but I didn’t hate it either. I’ve been stewing on this for a couple days now and I still don’t really know how I feel.
-LOVED the meet cute with Jameson and Emily
-HATED the whole “I am letting you go to protect you bulls***
-James was a delicious delight but also a dick more often than not
-Emily was a bit of a cry baby & nuts
-SOO MUCH SEX!!
-Tristan, Aaron and Molly were a great addition to the story
-Ending was a bit rushed
-Finally, this book was too LONG
For the most part I really did enjoy this book. Miles Media was a great atmosphere; the characters were mostly likeable and mostly I am excited about book two which is Tristan’s. I would say if you have the spare time and you like billionaire ass holes who get what they want then give this book a shot. Honestly, the best part as I said was the fact that Tristan’s book is next.
I absolutely loved this book. It grabbed my attention from the start and never once did I want to stop reading. Yes, there were some childish moments, but honestly, that happens in relationships. There were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and definitely some sad ones that had me tearing up. Jameson and Emily are like oil and water, but they just work. The writing was spot on, with plenty of humor and quick-witted lines. I can’t say enough good stuff about this author. I think I just found another favorite!
Ohhh myyyy Gahhhhh….
I have another author I will be stalking!!! TL Swan….how have I never read any of your books yet??? I happen to be watching an IG story and I saw a girl I follow and she was raving over Swan’s book she was reading. It wasn’t this book and I wrote the reader and told her I was adding the book she was reading next due to the passion she was showing as she was reading the book.. She told me that I should really start with The Stopover first…I was like wait…what…really?? lol
Well I am glad I did…this book was soooo freaking AMAZING!!! I actually got to listen to the audible with KU and man…I didn’t want to ever put it down! What a steamy and sooo angsty read!! hahaha
I swear I felt a little bit of Jesse Ward and Christian Grey in this book….I FREAKING LOVED IT!!! Made me have that stupid goofy grin on my face while reading..haha
PS My next read happens to be an ARC and then I am going on to the next book in this series…I am thinking it is one of the brothers books…eeeppp…Again, I am sooo glad I gave the book a chance…I love finding new authors to me and going all pscho reading their books..haha
Yes!!! Loved it. New to me author and I was not disappointed with this story at all! Definitely spicy! Spice level! And then there were some major jaw dropping moments that had me glaring at my phone! And the tears! Oh the tears! I didn’t ugly cry but there was still a decent amount of tears pulled from my eyes with this story! I am so excited to get into the next one! I am ready to hear more about these brothers! I especially want to know who brings Tristen to his knees!!!
The first quarter of this book was about a 3.5 star read for me, but then I was completely addicted to Jay and Emily’s love story and happily give this book 5 Stars.
Addictive workplace romance drama, with a spice of comedy. Yes this book made me giggle.
This story follows Emily, who for the first time in her life – has a one night stand with a rich man named “Jim” on a stopover in between flights back home.
Fast forward 12 months later, and she lands her dream job in New York! She moves over from California and is ready to be married to her career. Only what she doesn’t expect is to run into “Jim” or his more used nickname, Jay. And their strong connection to be more alive then ever.
Of course complications get in their way, along with a bit of drama. But the ending is perfect and I can’t wait to read the sequel involving Jay’s brother – Tristan.
When I read the blurb and that they meet on a plane, I HAD to read it!
I love all of T L Swan’s books (I’ve read every. single. one!)
This one was hot and steamy and kept me up late reading ‘just one more chapter.’ The characters were so well developed, and the plot was fast paced and interesting. There were plenty of funny moments too. In short, this book has it all if you love a steamy romance.
T L Swan writes an incredible love story, full of passion, heat, and heart, which will keep you going back for more… and more… and more…
The Stopover by TL Swan
15/10 5/5
I love this book so much. It’s steamy, funny, and so dang cheesy. I love Emily’s down to Earth character because it’s so relatable. Her sense of humor keeps you laughing out loud.
She gets upgraded on her flight and ends up seated next to an attractive man. Instantly chemistry. When their plan had an emergency stopover, they spend the night together… A year later, they cross paths again.
The storyline is great, and there’s lots of spice and funny moments. The camping scene is hands down the best part of the book!
This was my first book by this author and the high reviews came through for me. There was a one star review by someone who only read 30% of the book and got a refund and I honestly don’t think that person should even review! I listened to the audio book in KU which is a feature that I love! The narrators were excellent and I love to listen as I take my walks and clean.
Jameson AKA Jim AKA Jay Miles found his match in Emily Foster. She refuses to take his crap and gives it right back, as well as huge hickeys lol! These two blow hot and cold so much I had trouble keeping up, but the hot was SO hot! My kindle was sizzling! There was some intrigue going on at Miles Media that had everyone in a tailspin and Emily makes some decisions that are not the most thought out. I may have yelled at both of them out loud a time or two. I also almost peed my pants laughing during the camping trip! Oh my gosh! It was hilarious! Could it be any crazier? This book has it all! The ex-girlfriend to hate! The hot brothers! The competition stealing their stories! The cool work besties! I loved everything about it! I’m so excited to grab Tristan’s story now in a the Takeover!
Brilliant book and I adored the characters!
Ever daydream about sitting next to a handsome, sexy stranger on a long flight? T.L Swan has taken this fantasy and written a great book around it. The Stopover is steamy with a solid plot that will have you rooting for the characters. It didn’t hurt that the male lead was named Jameson (I’m a little partial to that name). I listened to it on audiobook and was not disappointed. Can’t wait to check out the next one!
3.5 stars: The connection in the beginning between “Jim” and Emily hooked me but the middle dragged a bit for me, esp as it took Emily so long to figure out the clues as to who was trying to sabotage the company. Also, Jameson’s constant anger towards her seemed too much to be redeemable at times. But what did eventually redeem the story for me was his willingness to listen and admit his flaws, and be willing to work on it together, which made them a very realistic couple for that.
So predictable –
Another great read by one of my favorite authors
This is my first read by this author. It will most definitely not be my last. Jameson and Emily are great characters! They’re strong, emotional and complement each other. I found myself cheering them on individually and as a couple. Swan’s writing style is fluid and descriptive. I blame her directly for then polenta of laundry and dishes I now must do because I could not put the book down! I highly recommend this book.
I really enjoyed the book and look forward to reading more by this author. I downloaded the audio version of it with Kindle Unlimited. Hot.
I loved the characters and had to read the second book in the series immediately. I’m hoping that the other two Miles brothers get their own books. Even with the difficulties faced by the characters, some parts are laugh out loud funny.
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
Oh so much angst and drama! As the title suggests Emily and Jameson meet on a flight and hook up on a stopover due to bad weather. The hookup was insanely hot and I loved their connection. They end up going their separate ways and one year later Emily is starting a new job at Miles Media only to discover her new boss is none other than Jameson Miles. The moment they meet again the intensity is zinging between them. Jameson is one of those characters you love to hate and hate to love. What a frustrating but gloriously delicious man. The things that came out of his mouth had me gasping in shock but in a good way and it is all part of the alpha male bossy charm about him. The push and pull between Emily and Jameson was endless. I am certain that if the author condensed this story just a bit this would have been a solid 4 star read but I am rating it 3 because there were times when I became bored with the storyline and dialogue between characters. The author pulls it together in the end with a beautiful finish and sweet epilogue.
