This historical romance will keep you guessing at the outcome. The character’s simply come to life on the pages as you follow Beatrix’s adventure. She was brought up by a thief but was given every thing she needed to be a lady–education, dance lessons etc. However she had something against the upper class. It would take a whole lot to change her mind!
The culmination of all the twists and turns will have you gasping. However, have no fear there is a very happy ending to all this!!
BeatrixRiswell was the only child of Aaron Riswell also known as Prince Aaron. A highwayman and very good at what he does. He had been shot during one of their robberies. She talked him into doing one more raid and then quitting.
So she went on the last raid instead of her injured father. She was well educated, a beekeeper, good with swords and rode like the wind.
Callum Ahern, Marquess of Bellton, mother had died and been buried a week ago but now he needed to get home. He told his father goodbye and off he went. During the ride home, they were accosted by some highwaymen. They had used a girl as a ploy to distract them. He grabbed the girl and ran off with her.
There are some twists to the story and maybe a surprise or two also. I thought this read well. It was interesting and entertaining, The tale was easy to read but hard to put down. The characters were realistic, warm, and kind. This can
be read by any age. I very highly recommend this book for an engaging read.
I received this ARC from the author and voluntarily review it.
This book was such a delightful read with the well written storyline and wonderful characters that as I turned the pages I felt like Beatrix and Callum pulled me right into their story as it unfolded!
This author always weaves a delightful tale. Callums and Beatrix are such an unlikely couple especially since the treated each other horribly in the beginning. But as it changes to respect, then affection, there is still the problem that he is a duke and she is the daughter of a robin hood type criminal. I enjoyed the way the whole thing played out. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
Based on its plot (see the publisher’s blurb for a perfectly good description), Hanna Hamilton‘s The Stolen Diadem of a Castaway Lady simply shouldn’t be a Regency Period appropriate tale, but somehow not only does this romance novel do that, but Beatrix and Callum’s story is superbly fun too. This is a wonderfully imaginative novel that’s a total pleasure to read, and which I’m happy to recommend.
I absolutely loved this. It is a feel-good story full of suspense, drama, danger, dark secrets, attempted murder, false accusations, romance and love. The characters were wonderful. Well written and utterly realistic. I enjoyed the loyalty and fierce love for a family of bandits that loved the h to the ends of the earth. When she met the Marquess it was under less than ideal circumstances. As they got to know each other the h made such a positive impact on the H that he wanted to be a better man. He wanted to be deserving of her. But there was a villain that threatened their happiness and he would not relent until the h was disposed of. When the h’s father confronted the villain, a dark secret began to reveal itself. This is too good to pass up. It is such a great story and I highly recommend it.
Beatrix Russell, daughter of a infamous outlaw meets Callum Ahern, Marquess of Bellton, while she is part of a gang that tries to rob him. She gets caught by him and takes her to his estate intending to turn her over to the Constables for prosecution. But first he needs to recover the family heirloom he just got from his dying mother. What could go wrong?
So much happens in this fantastic book that you need to read and enjoy it yourself. Great book for a cold day, or night.
