Good story idea but fails to develop fully, relies on heavy sexual described scenes to expand the story. Very disappointing, I cannot recommend her books.
I enjoyed this book. The history of how things were done “back in the day” is alway of interest to me. Good reading!
Very Enjoyable Read. I really did like the way the author develop the relationship between Bella and Alex. It was a very nice and steamy romance. It had a bit of action do I own in and was a good book.
Interesting read
It was a very good book.
Excellent writing. I have enjoyed every book I have read by this author and continually find myself purchasing another book as soon as I finish a book.
Typical romance book.
I read three or four of the set. Seems like once you’ve read one, the others are so similar they could have been written like a form letter just changing names and locations. Very repetive from one book to the next.
It was fairly fast moving. A little predictable but happy ending. And not too long and drawn out.
I really enjoyed this book.
I love the strong female who stands up for herself and fights back against evil.
Easy read and good story.
Bella was sold to a horrible sadistic old man. Alex with his twin daughters rescued her when she ran from her fathers home to Montana territory. They fell in love. Mean while there was a lovely story unfolding in the tiny town they lived near. I recommend this book. It was extremely entertaining. Ms. Woolf outdid herself.
I don’t know what it is about Cynthia Woolf but her books just do it for me. All her books seem to follow the same formula (Mail order bride, husband that is awesome but refuses to fall in love with new wife, something bad happens one of the MC is hurt and the husband realizes he loves wife, lots of babies HEA), but they all somehow feel uniquely different and never get boring.
Maybe I love her so much because she always gives me what I want. She is my happy zone. I know that when I pick up her books I will have a nice happy read. Whatever magic Cynthia Woolf weaves she did it again with The Stolen Bride. I loved this book. The start of the book really grabbed me. I loved both the hero and the heroine.
Isabella was great. She was strong willed, but sweet. She was very loving. She knew what she wanted and she went for it. She didn’t throw fits and yell she but she didn’t give up. I love how she was with her step daughters. But I especially loved how she was when she trouble arises. She was very brave but not stupid. I loved Alex too. He was a widower that loved his late wife and he fought his love for Isabella. He was sweet, and sexy but he did annoy me a little with his constant need to talk about his dead wife to Isabella and or compare the two. I got over my annoyance however when he tells Bella he loves her more and stronger then he ever loved his late wife.
The twin girls Vi and Rose were totally adorable and I loved when the family was together. I also really enjoyed the side love story of Bella’s mom and dad. The bad guy in this one was creepier than in other books. I really hated him and was glad that he got his. The epilogue in this book was very sweet and gave me everything I want in a HEA. Their book was a entertaining, quick read that made me smile. I can’t wait to pick up another CW book!
I liked this book by this author better than I liked the the first one I read, “The Hunter Bride” but I still wasn’t engaged in the story. It seemed a bit juvenile and fast paced. I like more character development in my favorite books. I also felt that there were intimate details thrown into the story in order to make it more “desirable” but it just was a turnoff for me.
Bella was sold to a horrible man in order to satisfy her father’s gambling debts and she was to become this man’s wife. In order to protect Bella, her mother secretly helped Bella escape and become a Mail Order Bride in Montana.
Alex Hastings was a rancher from Montana whose wife had died tragically in an accident involving a spirited horse. He had twin girls who were four years old and who needed a mother’s influence to help to mold and train them and to love them. Alex decided to place an ad for a mail order bride. Since he never expected to love anyone again like he loved his first wife, he didn’t really care to find a wife in the traditional manner.
As Alex and Bella spend time together and get to know one another, they begin to have feelings for one another but could Alex ever love Bella as a husband loves a wife? Would Bella ever be able to be free from her past or would he past finally catch up to her?
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
