After finally settling into her new life at the Citadel, Thalia is reunited with her father, who is disturbed at the changes within her. Risking banishment, Thalia must work to prove to her clan and herself that she is still capable of leading them. The problem is, her memories haven’t returned, and she cannot shake the feeling that she doesn’t belong. Thalia discovers that betrayal runs deep … runs deep within her clan, just as she sets out to join Joss and Kael in doing the one thing she fears most: track the Septori to save Joss’ kidnapped sister. Along the way, she must confront her own fears on a journey of self-discovery that will take her deep into the stronghold of Denai; as they travel to the ancient floating city of Skyfell.

One of my favorite series ever! Even though I’ve read this story several times now, I can never put it down until I’ve read the last page. It’s just that good!
Oh my goodness! The story definitely took a turn that was downright unexpected and awesome. We get more answers about who’s behind the experiments and where our beloved characters come from. It was great to see more character growth and world-building!
Great continuation of The Iron Butterfly. Thalia grows even more and the character development is so engaging. Love this series!
I’m loving book two in this series as we follow Thalia to her homeland and learn about her clan. I’m getting some very Highland vibes with this group right down to the Kragh Aru competition where the prize is a chance to win the hand of Thalia. Think well muscled men in furs and leather with swords at the ready to show their strengths. Yeah, baby and I am here for it!
Thalia still grates on my nerves with her poor decisions in this book. I’m dumbfounded at how she’s not a total vegetable in an infirmary with as many blows to the head she tends to get but I guess that’s what the Healers are there for. Joss and Kael continue to vie for her favor while Thalia fights what her heart already knows.
Now if you will excuse me as I’m off to find some answers of my own while I devour book 3!
This one was even better than the first. I couldn’t put it down I think I finished it in 2 days. I really liked that we learn more about Thalia’s back-story and learn more about some of the other characters. A lot of interesting stuff happened in this book that I enjoyed but can’t say because I don’t what to spoil it. Just read this one if you enjoyed the first one you won’t be disappointed.
I didn’t think it would be possible but book 2 of this series is incredible. I think I like it more than book one. Throughout the book and even at the end, I am left feeling so many emotions about what Thalia has been through and what she has discovered. Let’s not forget Kael…he is amazing!!! I don’t want this series to end, but I am looking forward to finding out what happens next.
Another incredible world from Mrs. Hahn. I’m blown away by each new project she turns out.
Thalia returns home only to have her clan battle to be her life partner. Who will win, and what will happen between her Joss and Kael? Thalia then goes with Joss to help him find his sister who has been abducted. Will Thalia ever see her home again? Will they find Joss’ sister in time? This is such a good book! You will have to read it and find out!
The Steele Wolf had my attention from the beginning. There were more in depth explanations about the characters and what is going on. It answers questions and flows with the Iron Butterfly. The love triangle is still there and it’s hard for me to decide who to root for. Thalia changes some and is facing the problem we all have, where do we belong and are we sure where we are is right? I enjoyed this book a lot!
This series just keeps getting better and better. I love how the klans seem to be more involved in this book. We learn more and more about them and we get to meet new characters!! The drama/love/hate between Thalia, Joss, & Kael!! Omg I can’t even go there yet!! I am thoroughly enjoying their world and I really am hoping that this series gathers new fans and it can be promoted into an audiblebook as well as a movie/tv series! Love it!!
I was on the edge of my seat after the ending of book 1.
Book 2 did not disappoint at all, thalia has grown even more since she first escaped the septori and your on edge awaiting to see what crazy adventure she has next!
If you have read book 1, yay! Now read book 2 and hopefully book 3! You won’t be disappointed.
You know you found something special when you cannot put a book down. I was left wanting more and that’s exactly what you want when it’s a series. I love how Talia has developed. This story had me in tears at times and smiling like a weirdo other times. I would recommend this 100%
I didn’t think I was going to like her clan and father. I was right. I was not a fan. I do like Kael and can’t wait to see what is going to happen there. We see Thalia step up to a bunch of challenges in this book. She shows how tough she can be. I think her path is unclear and she will be fighting her way to happiness.
