I enjoy British historical novels and therefore enjoyed this one. It wasn’t totally original but a bit of a page turner none-the-less.
This was an engaging delightful book. It is the type of book that is hard to put down and then, at the end, you are sorry it is over.
The Stationmasters Cottage kept me company while waiting for the surgeons report of my daughters very long, spinal procedure & through the beginning of her recovery.
This is a good book for being able to put down & easily pick up your train of thought of where you had gotten to in the writing. In my opinion, it is well written & kept my interest throughout.
When I finished the book it left me wondering about myself & whether I would go to such lengths to find the answers to my “wonderings!:” After reading The Stationmasters Cottage I just might after all.
Loved this book!!
I haven’t finished this book yet but I love it! I would read more from this author!!!
It was the best one I’ve read in a long time…didn’t want to put it down
Enjoy reading this one.
I really enjoyed this book. It was one I couldn’t put down. Twists and turns that all lead to a great ending. I intend to read more in this series.
Two romances for the price of one. A love story with a mystery at its centre a positive ending.
Likeable characters and a even a villain who was not wholy bad.
Beautifully written story! I couldn’t put it down, read it in one day! Suspense and love story in one! I hope the next is as wonderful! Thank you so much!
A captivating storyline. I almost quit reading after a few chapters, but the farther I read the more captivated I became. This is a story worth reading!
Christie is an independent, romantic, brave woman. Her finance, Derek, treats her as though she should bend to his every whim and feel guilty if she doesn’t. Yes, when she’s with him, or thinking of him, she believes less of herself. The turning point is when her grandmother passes and an old family friend brings her the news. She finds an inheritance and an interesting neighbor. All that Christie finds leads her to discover secrets that she’s determined to understand regardless of the stumbling blocks in her way. Her nature is to help others and she won’t quit, no matter the outcome between her and everyone she knows and meets. The setting is haunting; a jetty that holds the past on a beautiful beach and a cottage outside of a small village. The storms hold torment. A dog, a man, a painting, rings, and letters will lead to an unexpected ending.
Complex uncovering of secrets and fates of relatives and final resolution of for primary character who inherits a family home.
I enjoyed the mystery and the dual time was easy to follow. My only issue was I didn’t believe the way Martin and Christie fell for each other. Otherwise I liked the book enough to buy the sequel.
A wonderful story of finding the truth in the past and bringing about a happitly-ever-after ending. I loved this book so much I’m off to get Book 2 in the series.
I absolutely enjoyed this book, it was such a beautiful story and so beautifully written. I connected with the characters right away and even when I was not reading, I couldn’t stop thinking about the story and what would happen next. One of my favourites, without a doubt. I love when books invoke emotions and connect to your soul and this book accomplished that.
If you like historical novels, books that span the years then you will love this book
Finished with a sigh.
