The Stationmasters Cottage kept me company while waiting for the surgeons report of my daughters very long, spinal procedure & through the beginning of her recovery.
This is a good book for being able to put down & easily pick up your train of thought of where you had gotten to in the writing. In my opinion, it is well written & kept my interest throughout.
When I finished the book it left me wondering about myself & whether I would go to such lengths to find the answers to my “wonderings!:” After reading The Stationmasters Cottage I just might after all.
Loved this book!!
I haven’t finished this book yet but I love it! I would read more from this author!!!
It was the best one I’ve read in a long time…didn’t want to put it down
Enjoy reading this one.
I really enjoyed this book. It was one I couldn’t put down. Twists and turns that all lead to a great ending. I intend to read more in this series.
Two romances for the price of one. A love story with a mystery at its centre a positive ending.
Likeable characters and a even a villain who was not wholy bad.
Beautifully written story! I couldn’t put it down, read it in one day! Suspense and love story in one! I hope the next is as wonderful! Thank you so much!
Complex uncovering of secrets and fates of relatives and final resolution of for primary character who inherits a family home.
I enjoyed the mystery and the dual time was easy to follow. My only issue was I didn’t believe the way Martin and Christie fell for each other. Otherwise I liked the book enough to buy the sequel.
A wonderful story of finding the truth in the past and bringing about a happitly-ever-after ending. I loved this book so much I’m off to get Book 2 in the series.
I absolutely enjoyed this book, it was such a beautiful story and so beautifully written. I connected with the characters right away and even when I was not reading, I couldn’t stop thinking about the story and what would happen next. One of my favourites, without a doubt. I love when books invoke emotions and connect to your soul and this book accomplished that.
If you like historical novels, books that span the years then you will love this book
Finished with a sigh.
Loved the wonderful descriptions of the land
Loved this book
This book is about a woman who inherits a cottage in a small town from her grandmother. While trying to fix up the place, she discovers some letters written by a long lost great aunt to her boyfriend. The boyfriend is an artist and so is his grandson. Neither one wants to deal with the woman. The townspeople don’t want to deal with her. One of them knows her great aunt and conspires to keep it from her.
An unusual “happily ever after story.” The characters are genuine and the plot is interesting and makes the readers anxious to know the ending but needing to read every word and not spoil the story by jumping to the end. I loved the story line and characters so much that I am reading the entire series.
The mystery and romance was not particularly compelling, but it was an OK read. Nice that the romance didn’t result in a bunch of sex scenes! Easily could stop reading at the end of this book, even though there are more in the series – author did not leave you hanging.
Couldn’t get into it – too hard to sort out the characters and figure out what might have happened in their past to put them where they were when the story starts.
