Three books in one place and they are amazing! Diana and Scott meet again under scary circumstances but it is also very funny because of what Diana is wearing. Through bumps and a couple of potholes in the road to romance they figure it out and sparks ignite. Sophia and Riley haven’t seen each other for a few years but now he’s out of the military and wants to get back together with his wife. Sophia thinks they are divorced but well that’s not the case and she has a hard time explaining to her family. Luckily Riley is there for the long haul and they get their HEA. Fallon and Jack help each other out during the Christmas season. Something temporary suddenly becomes more and as each day comes and goes their connection gets stronger and stronger. Heatherly knows how to draw you in and keep you interested. Love her Starlight Hill series!
I am a recent follower of Ms Bell, but have come to the conclusion that if I pick up a book by this author, I know that it will be a winner. When this anthology came along , I HAD to read it. I was not disappointed and the price was perfect.
The stories included are Unforgettable You, Forever You, and Crazy for You.
Each story will touch your heart, from Diane’s and Scott’s reconnection in Unforgettable You, to Sophia’s and Riley marriage hanging on a string , though Riley puts all his Marine determinations to win over Sophia and lastly, one of my favorite stories, Fallon’s and Jack’s story.
Both have had disappointments. Fallon is divorced, has lost her job in LA, and shares custody of her 9 year old with an ex that is about to remarry in their hometown, a town that considers her a lost case and unreliable. She is due to attend the wedding with her “boyfriend”. One that she made up. Fallon accidentally meets Jack when he stops burglar in front of her apartment.
.Jack is a man who has recently left his job as an LAPD detective after a case that shattered him mentally and emotionally. While one is focused on making herself have a purpose and a plan, the other one wants time to chill and desires no agenda.
Fallon convinces him to be her “ boyfriend” for the wedding , and what started out as make believe, turns the table on them, especially as they begin a road trip to Starlight Hill.
This is a story that is heartwarming. Both Fallon and Jack have big hearts, hearts that have been crushed . They have been hurt by people in their lives and are not interested in another relationship. But life has a sense of humor and in the spirit of Christmas they get a chance to know each other.
I loved the way that Jack helped Fallon see how valuable she was as a person. He stood by her, and made her realize that she needed to also learn to stand for herself, especially when it came to her Mom and the townspeople.
Who knew that a road trip would be a turning point to these two very likable and sweet characters. A story you’ll enjoy anytime of the year.
I was gifted this copy. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
A great group of stories! The author does an excellent job of drawing you into the story & hooking you. The characters are realistic as is the storyline. By the way she writes, you can feel the emotions of everyone involved. The sex scenes are descriptive enough without going overboard on details. There were just enough twists & turns to keep you guessing. I truly enjoy Ms. Bell’s writing style.
Unforgettable You – Diana is ready for a fresh start. She’s just out of a toxic relationship & wants to get her writing career off to a great start. Everything is looking up until she’s the victim of a house fire. She can’t believe it when town town gossip films her rescue & it goes viral. And of all people to rescued her, did it have to be Scott? The high school crush that let her down?
Scott loves being a firefighter. He loves rescuing people but is determining to keep his heart out of it. He can’t believe it when he rescues Diana & sees what she is wearing. He wants to be friends but his heart has a different idea than his head. Which is going to win out?
Forever with You – Wow! What a gritty emotional read! I loved this book. Sophia Abella runs her family’s restaurant & is busy looking after her family. She’s also been keeping a secret from them for years. Riley Jacobs was the love of Sophia’s life. He met Sophia while he was on leave & fell in love at first sight. They got married & moved to the military base. Sophia wasn’t prepared for the amount of time she would spend alone & worrying while he was deployed. When he re-upped, she gave up & went home. Eight years later, Riley is out of the military & has taken the sheriffs job in Sophia’s home town. Sophia has been involved in several online relationships but no one serious. Riley wants to win her back.
Crazy for You – How do you find a date to an ex’s wedding? Apparently not through speed dating! Fallon made a mistake to get her mother off her back. She told her she was in a relationship with a tall, dark man named Bud so she couldn’t be set up with anyone again. But she couldn’t find anyone to play Bud until an ex-cop apprehends a burglar trying to break into her apartment.
Jack was a homicide detective until he caught the kind of case that haunts you, one involving a kid. He can’t get past it so he turned in his shield & is going to go find something else to do. After Fallon hits him with her offer, he decides it won’t hurt to drive up the coast to spend Christmas with his family after a quick stop to help her out.
I really enjoyed this story! Fallon is finding a way to fight back against the small town gossips that made her life so hard. She just has a tall, dark, handsome ex-cop helping her put them in their place. The plot is fairly easy but Ms. Bell uses just the right amount of emotion to get her point across in each scene. There was humor, sarcasm, family, romance & sexiness. The supporting characters are adorable. David, Fallon’s son, is a entertaining character that you can’t help falling in love with. This was a perfect homecoming story to be released at this time. I would recommend this to everyone that enjoys contemporary romances & happy endings!
