Good story and no yukky sex.
Enjoyed Rogers’ The Star-Crossed Seamstress. Determined Skylar figures out what she must do to live once she returns to England. Joe is working on his life too and does not allow Skylar to learn he is a wealthy gentleman rather than the common laborer leads her to believe. A page turner.
Beautifully written! A long lost grandmother, an awful evil uncle and a true hero! This book has it all. Can’t wait to read the next in the series!
I loved it
I liked The idea if living a happy life to get back at people that have been mean to you
it was very inspirational
I have read all the books in series. I have enjoyed the writers skill. Each story is different but interwoven with several characters. The characters each different problems or issues .They all solved them with finding true love. If only that worked in the real world. I still recommend the book and the series.
This is an enjoyable clean story. I read it within a day as I wanted to see how the story line would unfold. I read the Mannequin first which I also enjoyed. Both books are well written
Good clean read
Wonderful story!
Enjoying the series !
Interesting twists and turns that I did not see coming! A good read.
Sweet clean romance with good characters and an interesting story.
The characters were well developed and I was able to relate to them even though their circumstances were far different from anything that I’ve experienced. But when Skylar faces rejection by her uncle and aunt in England, she finds a home and safety with her grandmother who has also been rejected and neglected by the same relatives. It was also fun to see how Joe dealt with his own difficulties with society and to see how he came to be involved with Skylar and her grandmother. A well told tale with some very interesting twists and turns, especially at the end! A good clean Regency book.
Skylar Lake arrives in England thinking she’ll be staying in London with her aunt, uncle, and cousins. Instead she ends up in Tewksbury, living with her impoverished grandmother, Maeve. Unfortunately her grandmother is impoverished because her son-in-law gives her only a minuscule allowance. Joe Fiddick becomes acquainted with Skylar and Maeve when he masquerades as a common man and repairs their roof. This romantic romp has all the twists and turns you’d expect, and it does end with a happily ever after. The usual villains get their usual comeuppance and old wrongs get righted. This book is well written, fun, and uplifting.
I loved this book. I got sad, mad, and happy all through the book. It my emotions and I liked books that do that. A great read!
