I love series that feature impressive brothers finding the right woman for them and I love this author so this collection was a must buy for me. Don’t miss it!
I loved A Sudden Spark. Kudos to Liwen Ho for having two of three main characters with social anxiety. The characters are all believable and well drawn. This marriage of convenience story is one of the best ever. I could not stop reading until I finished the book.
The Sweetest Spark is a fun, clean, Christian romance about not expecting perfection. Colin and Candy have been friends forever. He wants more. She thinks he is unfocused. The story follows them as they grow toward each other. I read it cover to cover in a few hours.
At First Spark is a sweet, faith based romance. Darren and Danica definitely have chemistry. But Darren plans to remain single after his fiance broke up with him. Danica was adopted and wants to find out about her birth mother and birth mother’s family. She is very attracted to Darren and wonders why he keeps friend zoning her – especially when they have great times together. If these two would relax and let God keep to his plan, they might get even more than they expect. I was extremely drawn to this couple and grateful that I have time to read the book straight through!
I really enjoyed reading An Extra Spark. Evan and Emma were both delightful. I so truly dislike manipulative people, people with money who have to have their way no matter the cost, and the entire “star” culture. It was not easy for Evan and Emma to remain Christian and actors. The ending was absolutely perfect. This story demonstrates how honest communication is so very important.
These are all such wonderful books that I highly recommend this set to anyone looking for well written, clean romances.
One-line review: I’m so jealous of the readers that will discover this series through this boxset and will be able to binge read it.
A bit more “proper” review: Wow! I can’t believe the author finally put this awesome series in a boxset! People should really snatch it up, even if you haven’t read anything from the author before, it’s just so good! I loved how this is a series that follows the lives of five Christian brothers, and how they find their better halves, all while learning to overcome certain problems/difficulties in their personal lives with the help of family, friends, and of course, Christ.
Seriously, I can’t recommend this series enough. Each brother will always have a special place in my heart, and I think it’s just so perfect that the author decided to do a spin-off series based on the next generation, with some cameos from these Sparks 😉

This is such a great series! It has no cheating, no cliffhanger, and an HEA in each book.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading A Single Spark. I loved the main characters—one with a new faith and the other with a renewing faith. The characters are well developed, and I loved reading about how God was working in their lives. Liwen Ho has done a great job writing this story and also introducing the characters for the series. I am looking forward to the other books in this series to read the stories of the other brothers.
A Sudden Spark–How often does the shy, socially awkward guy get the girl? Liwen Ho has written a story that definitely makes him the hero worth looking up to. I loved the characters, how God worked in their lives, and their relationships with friends and family in this second chance friends to romance story. A Sudden Spark is well-written: the pacing is perfect and the plot interesting.
The Sweetest Spark is a well-written Christian romance. Candy and Colin make a great couple, although it took her a long time to realize that. I understood her concern and what made her feel that she had to be invulnerable. Liwen Ho makes it easy for you to feel with her characters. The plot has some twists and moves along at a quick pace. The setting is the San Francisco Bay Area.
At First Spark–This fire-fighting Spark brother doesn’t disappoint! Danica and Darren are very, very attracted to each other and enjoy each other’s company. Darren has a medical condition that caused his former fiance to break up with him, so he’s decided to never marry. Their faith in God is woven into the story seamlessly. The plot has some twists and turns and moves along at a good pace. Liwen Y. Ho writes some of the most swoon-worthy kissing scenes that I’ve ever read, and some of them never even got to the actual kiss! There’s a perfect HEA for this book and a fantastic epilogue. I encourage you to read the Afterword as well as it reveals the author’s heart.
An Extra Spark–I have loved this series, and this final book is like the icing on the cake. The Spark brothers are a close-knit group. Evan is the youngest brother. Both he and Emma are very likable characters and have to make some tough decisions to be part of Hollywood and be true to their faith. The plot has twists and turns that often are the result of a jealous co-star. The story moves quickly, and the dialogue flows well. There is a perfect HEA for this couple and an epilogue.
I definitely plan to read more of this author’s work. I highly recommend this series to clean/wholesome romance readers and to Christian fiction readers. I would not hesitate to recommend this to family and friends. I read the books as they came out. Some I bought and others I received a complimentary copy. I wanted to share my opinion of this excellent series.
The Spark are a group of talented brothers. Despite being so talented, self doubt, past mistakes, and a few hard knocks from life have left each of these men thinking that love might not be in the cards for them.
I so enjoyed these stories of loss and resiliency, second chances, and love that overlooks perceived flaws. These sweet stories have just the right amount of tension, clean romance, and spine-tingling spark.
I love this series so much and am so glad it’s in a box set now.
A Single Spark – What a fun new series! The Spark brothers are a fun bunch, I can’t wait to read all their stories. Aiden and Abby had quite the uphill battle, but they both put their faith and trust in the Lord to climb to the top. I loved their story and their spiritual growth. This is a fun and beautiful story!
A Sudden Spark – I love the Spark family. This band of brothers is great. I love how close they are, yet how different they are from each other. I can relate with Brandon as I am an introvert and my husband has social anxiety. My daughter though is more like Bria, almost a social butterfly. I love how quickly Brandon bonds with Seth and how that allows him to rekindle his friendship with Bria. I like that they start out as friends and then build into something more. This was a very sweet clean romance that touched on some sensitive issues, but reminds us that God is love and He forgives.
The Sweetest Spark – I love the Spark brothers! I have really enjoyed this series so far. I loved Colin and Candy from the first book and loved reading their story. They did seem mismatched, but I love how great that makes their chemistry and relationship. You don’t have to read the other stories in the series to enjoy this one, but I highly suggest you do, because they are so good.
At First Spark – I love this series. The Spark brothers are amazing and it has been so fun getting to know each of them. I’m so glad Danica got her HEA. I liked her in Aiden and Abby’s story and was kind if sad Brandon didn’t fall for her in his book. Darren and Danica are so good together. They definitely have some hurdles to jump over, but with God’s love all things are possible. Beautiful story that hit very close to home.
An Extra Spark – Wow, I’m really sad to see this series end. I have loved the Spark brothers and the wonderful women they have found through this journey. I love Evan and Emma! Their faith, love and concern for others was so beautiful and inspiring. The drama that we come to expect from movies and shows was definitely evident in this book. I felt like I was back in high school or even jr. high with all the scheming going on. It was really crazy at times, but thankfully the Sparks pulled it off. This was a great story and a great ending to a fun series.
A fun series with the Spark brothers. Each with their own personality and love story. Enjoy!
If you enjoy contemporary romance, you will enjoy this set that introduces you to the five Spark brothers and the women who change their lives. All five stories are sweet, clean, incredibly fun, engaging and short enough to read in one sitting. Aiden, Brandon, Colin, Darren, and Evan are unforgettable.
I love this box set. My favorite is A Sudden Spark. It is about forgiveness and second chances. I love how this story shows us that God loves us no matter what. We all make mistakes and we can learn and grow from them. Brandon writes romance novels, but has never had a girlfriend. Bria was the girl who was his best friend in college, but disappeared after kissing him. When he sees her at a book signing, he is excited to see her again. She only feels shame at seeing him again. Can Brandon ever forgive her? Can she forgive herself? Can be read as a standalone, but you will want to read all about the Spark Brothers.
I read each of these books as they came out, and really enjoyed the whole series. Each of the brothers has his own personality, and each has his own love story, with different challenges to overcome. Ho has done a good job with her characters, the pacing, the relationships, and the subjects covered. Each book has good plot twists, fun romance, and thoughtful spiritual lessons.
The only brother worth reading about was Aiden, and even his story was ridiculous! Your girlfriend—not wife!—dies, and you’re still in mourning 10 years later! Give me a break!! The only reason I kept reading is that I was sure the storylines had to get better…NOT! Needless to say, I won’t be reading anything else by this author.
I loved that all the characters were in all the books, if only just met. These were fun to read, and intertwined well.
Did get a little tired of the same theme in each book.
These are sweet Christian romances. Each brother has a different struggle to face. Each book stands alone but I would recommend you read them in order.
Way too trite and predictable…..and totally unrealistic. Disappointing.
These novellas were an easy, quick read likely they are not all that fully developed.
Each couple had a different letter: Aiden and Abby, Brandon and Bria, Colin and Candy, Darren and Danica, Evan and Emma. Adorable! I love how each book played into the other. You definitely appreciate the entire family before the first book is even halfway through! We never did get to meet the Mr. and Mrs. that started it all, but the boys have such great character and chemistry, you’re never doubting the couple they are. I loved this series, and am excited for the “Evendale Arts Academy” series to continue!
