Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.Savannah I’m the one who broke up the golden couple. The woman people still whisper about, point at, and give dirty looks to. Did I sleep with the prom king? No. Did I sleep with the town’s golden boy on vacation from college? Yes. Did I believe that he was going to marry me? Wholeheartedly. Did he? Not even close. He got engaged right in front of me … close. He got engaged right in front of me and then his father threw two hundred dollars at me and told me to take the trash out.
So, I raised my son in a town where people love him because they think that his father is the sheriff.
It was going great, everything was working out till my lie got out.
Beau
I was getting ready to take over the mayoral office from my father, who was my hero.
Until I heard the secret he hoped would stay buried forever.
My brother has a son, not just any son but a son with the woman who was my best friend.
The woman I secretly have loved from the moment she stood up to me and broke my nose in kindergarten.
I need to protect her and in order to do that, we need to get married.
Too bad her nightmare is my dream come true.

Savannah hasn’t had it easy. She made some not so wise choices early on in her teen years, and those choices continue to haunt her to this day. But no more so than when her best friend, the one she had secretly been in love with forever, found out one of her truths, and lashed out. But, she’s got even more secrets she’s holding close to the vest, and when Beau finds out, let’s just say, perhaps his anger might just be directed at someone else after…
Wow, so I was not expecting that Savannah’s story would get to me like it did. As I was supposed to, I had disliked Savannah from the very first story in this emotional series, so I really didn’t think her own story would be so heartbreaking. And I can freely admit that by the end, well, even before the end, I definitely did not dislike her any longer, in fact, felt for her and had decided she was pretty great. Yeah, she made some stupid ass decisions, and I still wanted her to just tell everyone back in the day who Ethan’s real father was, which would have saved a lot of people a lot of unnecessary pain, but I understand why she did what she did.
Now onto Beau…that man! I luuuurve him! He’s by far my favorite character in this series. He’s an absolute sweetheart with his heart on his sleeve, so in love with his best friend, the one who tore his heart out way back when. But when he finds the truth, he sticks by his love and doesn’t back down from that loyalty. Whew…hot, protective, has a huge heart, what else could you ask for in the best hero?
The Southern series has been an emotional roller coaster with wonderful, complex characters, heartbreaking secrets, and a ton of love. Can’t wait for the next one!
You know a book is amazing when you finish it yelling “D@##!T NATASHA!”
You know it’s epically amazing when your spouse is literally building furniture beside you and you don’t even hear the banging, thumping or cussing. This book goes so far beyond what I expected it’s in on a whole different planet.
Just being up front here I did not want to be a fan of Savannah. I certainly did not want to love her. But GAAAAHHHHHHH, I freaking love her. There is no one who deserved happiness more than she did. This woman has more dignity and grace in her pinky finger than the vast majority of planet Earth. She has more strength than almost any character I’ve ever read. There was just no way I could stick to my guns on not loving her. And Beau? Jeeeeez, this man. The devotion, the depth of his love, and that fact he’s nearly as selfless as Savannah is. It was a lethal combination.
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
After reading the first two books in the Southern Series, I was beyond ready for Beau and Savannah’s story. This is a standalone novel, but is part of an interconnected series, so even though you don’t need to read the first two, I highly suggest you do. And they are worth the read.
Beau and Savannah destroyed me in the best possible way. Their story was one for the record books y’all. I have been rooting for these two since they were first introduced in book one and patiently waited for it to be their turn.
This friends to lovers romance will bring you to your knees. From the very start, you are drawn into their story, fighting for them, fighting with them, and begging Natasha not to tear your heart in two during the entire process. There will be smiles, tears, laughter and so much more as you dive into the world of the Southern Series.
Five stars for this beautifully written friends to lovers that will have you feeling every single emotion as you turn the pages and fall in love with Beau and Savannah.
‘m going to start this review off with a little rant…
How in the Hell did Natasha do it. She was able to make me like a character that I have disliked for the last 2 books in this series, and I know I said would take a miracle for me to ever feel anything but disgust for. But, dammit to hell she went and done it, Natasha went and made me like Savannah.
Ok now that’s over onto the review…
When it came to Savannah and Beau I was wanting their story, but yet I was also not wanting to give Savannah that much of a chance. I guess you can say that I was being a catty little girl and was holding a grudge and didn’t want her to find the happy that he deserved. Then the unthinkable happened and Savannah’s side of what happened and I couldn’t help but start to feel the ice melt around my heart. Beau was always that one character that was in the background in the first books that I liked, and wanted more of. And there was no denying that there was chemistry between Beau and Savannah, they just never acted on it. And boy did I ever want to just take both and shake them and make then see what was right in front of them. Still you can’t do but so much for the headstrong. The moment that trouble starts though Beau shows that he is the man that I always knew him to be and did what he believed he needed to do to help the woman that he loved.
There is some truth in that secrets don’t stay hidden and cliff hanger that this book is left with shows that. And now I cannot wait to get my hands on the last book in this series and see how this all plays out.
This series has been one that I was not seeing coming. And each book in this series was a different layer to a cake that I just couldn’t get enough of, and there is still one more layer to go so I know I’m going to be one big happy reader at the end of this.
No sleep because I read cover to cover in one sitting? Worth it! Natasha Madison may be the only author who could take a character that I loathed and make me love!!! Savannah and Beau are everything. Makes me ask the question what if? Did the choices that they (and their friends) made when they were young and naive and the feelings they kept hidden from one another alter their lives forever? Or shape them into the adults they became and made it possible to overcome their pasts and make their lives fuller and richer (don’t mean $$$)??? Love this southern series so much and I absolutely cannot wait for Ethan’s story! Another 5 star read for me!
Amazing read!! Talk about a book with twists! This book took me totally by surprise. There are things you will never see coming !! In true author fashion Natasha has done it again! I already loved Beau but now I truly love him ! There’s so much I want to say but I don’t want to spoil it!
I was not sure how I would feel about Southern Storm by Natasha Madison. Do not get me wrong, I love her books, but I was unsure of Savannah. I really disliked her in the first book, but I should have known the author would give us more depth to this character so we could understand her better. Savannah was strong, but also vulnerable, but her choices were not always the right ones. I just loved Beau! He was protective and caring and so very determined. I loved the back and forth between them and watching slowly realize the truth between them. Southern Storm by Natasha Madison was an emotional and angst-filled story.
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
This is the third book in the series! Savannah’s book! In the first two books I really didn’t like Savannah but hearing her story wow bring out the tissues!!! Her & beau are perfect!
I have been a fan of Natasha Madison since way back when. Her writing is some of the best that I have seen done, and she ALWAYS ALWAYS draws me into her stories after just a few pages. To say I have been anxiously waiting for Savannah’s story, is putting it mildly. She has been an integral part of this series since the beginning. The Southern Series is a group of interconnected standalones, so to truly understand Savannah’s story, it is best to start at the beginning of this series with ‘ Southern Chance’.
In my opinion, Southern Storm is one of the best books in this series. This friends to lovers book is not all sunshine and roses, it’s more of a, weathering the storm until it passes kind of book. There is so much that goes on in Savannah and Beau’s book, and as previously stated, this author did an amazing job of pulling me in and making sure my focus remained solely on the story and nothing else. The development, and the depth that Madison took Savannah and Beau through was plotted thoroughly. The dialogue from the main characters and secondary characters was spot on. The transition from pure friendship to more made my insides melt. Madison did a great job of expressing the emotions that came with that transition as well. The plot within this book was not just a one and done, thank you ma’am. It was an ongoing thing, that set this book with suspense since the beginning which I was a fan of.
In the beginning of this series I was not of fan of Savannah. Throughout the entirety of Southern Storm my respect grew tenfold for Savannah. Believe it or not, I actually grew fond of her. Madison made sure I understood her in more than one way, and I couldn’t be more thankful. My heart has always felt something for Beau. My heart hurt for him throughout this series, and I was so glad he finally got the ending he deserved.
Now that circumstances have changed for Savannah and Beau, are the strong enough weather the storm together?
*I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK
You know the saying ” cry a river? ” well in this case with this story I cried a damn ocean. I honestly never thought that Savannah could be turned around but Natasha being the queen she is, proved me wrong again. Savannah and Beau have the most heart breaking but all consuming love story there ever could be. Grab the tissues, sit back and enjoy the ride
Oh my Lord! This book seriously left me with one of the biggest book hangovers. I need Ethan’s story like I need my last breath! I never thought Savannah would win me over in a million but that girl is fierce! she has definitely won my vote!! Beau was honestly perfect from the moment his character was introduced. I knew he would live up to his potential….totally SWOON! A definite MUST READ!
What happens when your best friend, the one man you’ve loved your whole life, finds out your deepest, darkest secrets? A storm comes…
Wow! I don’t even know where to begin. I sat and read this book straight through. I literally could not put it down. So many twists and turns. Hang on tight because your emotions are in for a roller coaster ride.
Beau and Savannah have so much chemistry and their bond is so tight. Beau will do anything to protect her. I won’t lie. When we met Savannah in Southern Chance, I could not stand her. I thought what she did was hurtful and cruel. But seeing her sincere regret and the circumstances that led to it, shows me what an amazing strength she truly has. You see a whole different side to her in this book and it shows her true self and the love she carries in her heart.
I loved every single spectacular word of this book! I loved it so much, I’ve read it twice! I was on the edge of my seat. So many twists and turns that will keep you wondering what will happen next. So full of love, passion, strength, and devotion. An absolute MUST READ!!!
I felt for Savannah so much and for Beau. We get a different glimpse of Savannah here and it’s like her redemption along with a second chance. Beau is sweet, caring, and their interactions warmed my heart. I didn’t put this down until I was completely done and then I felt like I needed to read it again.
avannah…… quite the woman!!! Southern Storm takes readers on her journey. We see the insights to the decisions she’s made and it’s affects on her life.
Beau has been her best friend for years. He’s in love with her, she’s in love with him but they depend on each other too much to break that.
I loved this book! And I love Savannah. I loved understanding her brokenness and where I came from and what she was fighting for… always her son! And I love Beau and how he fights for Savannah and Ethan in this book!
Natasha Madison delivers another incredible read that shows how truly people are, how they grow, how people deserve second chances, how the decisions we make in life affect our future and how our future can only be changed by ourselves!
We get to decide if we look at a storm as something that is dark and scary and changes things or if out of the storm comes the good, even when things are broken.
Read this book, give Savannah a chance to show you how beautiful she is!!
Thank you Natasha for giving us all another amazing book!
I seriously hated Savannah in the first two books of this series and thought going into this book that there was NO WAY I would end up feeling like she would be redeemed. I was WRONG. This book made me cry multiple times but oh the emotional journey of this book is so darn worth it. I absolutely LOVED Savannah and Beau’s story and am so happy for the twisty upside ride that Natasha Madison expertly weaved for us. Well done!!!!!!!
Of all things holy! Natasha sure outdid herself! I was not on the Savannah bandwagon but she sure did wrap herself around my finger in no time! Southern Storm was the third book in Natasha’s amazing Southern series. I can’t believe how heartbroken I was for them, my heart physically hurt and the tears didn’t want to stop. It was sexy, suspenseful and downright superb!
Savannah was hated throughout the town because of a lie. Would they feel any different if they knew the truth? Unfortunately, she could never tell it because she had signed a contract. But what would happen when that contract was discovered by the one person who could help? Would she loose her best friend or would the secret getting out finally allow her to be free?
Beau was almost on top of the world, he was following in his fathers footsteps and becoming mayor. His Dad had been his hero until he found out what he had been hiding. He had indirectly made his best friends life a living hell for years. Would he be able to forgive Savannah from her part in it all or would he loose not only his best friend but the love of his life?
This series just keeps getting better! So many lies and hidden feelings! It had me swooning one second and bawling the next! And of all things holy…the cliffhanger!!! Did not see that coming…!!! Mind Blown!
Savannah has done everything she can to outrun the reputation of her mother since she was a little girl. But following in her footsteps with an unwed child has not helped at all. Doing her best to be the best mother she can while running her bar is not easy but thanks to the help of her few close friends, She manages to get by pretty well. However, she watches the love of her life from the sidelines. Wishing, wanting but never really giving into the hope.
Beau has been there since day one. They were like the 4 musketeers. But Savannah has always held a special place in his heart. He has always been there by her side trying to help her navigate this crazy town. As much as his dreams include her by his side, he is too afraid to loose what he currently has with her to push for anything more. What if she doesn’t feel the same way?
When secrets are revealed and danger seems to follow Savannah around, Beau does the only thing he knows to protect her. Could it be that they share the same dream? Or is this a disaster in the waiting?
This town and these characters will draw you in. I love how they rally to keep their own safe, to help build them back up when they are down.
*** Advanced copy provided in exchange for an honest review.***
I just loved the other books in this series, and was greatly anticipating Savannah’s story. I knew there was more to her and her background than we knew. While I hated what happened with Kallie and Jacob previously, I knew Savannah would get her moment.
Natasha Madison’s Southern series has it all – love, friendship, small town and secrets. Southern Storm is the 3rd book in this series. It’s Savannah’s redemption and vindication.
Savannah lied about Ethan’s father, and the town blamed her for all that transpired after. What she was really doing was protecting her son. Beau has always loved Savannah wanting to protect her and be there for her. He never thought she could love him back.
A marriage built on protection, Beau will do whatever he can for her safety. Southern Storm is a friends to lover, small town romance with some twists and turns along the way. Beau wants to prove that Savannah belongs there and with him. There were many lies and betrayals throughout the story to add some angsty moments.
I just love Natasha’s writing and these characters. This is a must read series!
My new favorite Southern man is the oh, so swoon worthy Beau.
He was a take charge alpha hero with a sweet soft spot for Savannah. I have been looking forward to this story because in the previous books it seemed everyone knew these 2 were destined to be together except them.
The chemistry between Beau and Savannah was a rainy day in the previous books compared to this one. It turned into a thunderstorm of secrets unveiled, not saying things that needed to be said, a threat that loomed in the shadows put them in the middle of the perfect storm.
A lifetime slow burn, the whole crew, banter, all the feels, this book had it all and I’m insanely excited for what’s to come.
I have to say having read the other books I hated Savannah, this book changes that! 100% guaranteed! This book just goes to show things aren’t always what they seem, and sometimes all is takes is just one hit to crack it all wide open. This author has created a intriguing world filled with lies, love, blackmail, and more. The best part or so great you just can’t stop reading! I literally picked it up and never put it down. It has two epilogues that keep you involved in the after…the last one might have a bit more for you. Ethan, yikes such a story that could be written for him.
It seems everyone sneers and leers at Savannah, the only ones who stood by her were her best friends, sometimes at the cost of their happiness (as stated in the other books). But did she deserve it, who started it, and why? All things alike thinkers want to know
PSA: HEA here, kid alert (Ethan sounds adorable), crazy town antics.
