Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.Savannah I’m the one who broke up the golden couple. The woman people still whisper about, point at, and give dirty looks to. Did I sleep with the prom king? No. Did I sleep with the town’s golden boy on vacation from college? Yes. Did I believe that he was going to marry me? Wholeheartedly. Did he? Not even close. He got engaged right in front of me … close. He got engaged right in front of me and then his father threw two hundred dollars at me and told me to take the trash out.
So, I raised my son in a town where people love him because they think that his father is the sheriff.
It was going great, everything was working out till my lie got out.
Beau
I was getting ready to take over the mayoral office from my father, who was my hero.
Until I heard the secret he hoped would stay buried forever.
My brother has a son, not just any son but a son with the woman who was my best friend.
The woman I secretly have loved from the moment she stood up to me and broke my nose in kindergarten.
I need to protect her and in order to do that, we need to get married.
Too bad her nightmare is my dream come true.

Oh my heart. I swore I was never going to like Savannah. Like AT ALL! But the story that Natasha Madison wove for her was so heartbreaking but so beautiful at the same time. You couldn’t help but have all the feels for Savannah as her life is turned upside down even more than it already is And Beau….. He is just swoon. He is strong and alpha but in a way that won’t make you get miffy because he is being suffocating. He cares. So much. With his heart and soul. He is so perfect for Savannah. The way that these two play off each other. Their wit and banter with the underlying currents makes for such a sizzle. When things implode, oh wow. I mean, there were a lot of things I did not see coming and I was gripping my ereader wondering what would happen next.
The depth of this storm that these two had to endure to get to where they needed to be was utterly breathtaking. It was beautiful, heartfelt and so much more. Savannah paid her dues and she had amazing redeeming qualities after everything we thought we knew was out there in the previous two books. If you have read the other two books prior to this one, just know it is a ride and a half. If you haven’t started this series, stop, go back and start with the first book to feel the full southern embrace that Madison is giving us with this series!
This book is everything!!!!
I am stunned by my reaction to this book. I went in thinking Ugh, I hate this girl and I can’t believe I have to read a book about her. I came out thinking if anyone messes with this girl again, I will throat punch them… Amazing what Ms. Madison is capable of huh?!
Like I said, I wasn’t thrilled with Savanah in books 1 and 2, but after getting her story, I get it now. Totally and completely, I get it. She did what she felt she had to do for Ethan. It might not have been the best choice for everyone involved and maybe had she not been 18 things would have been different, but life happens. She is not a bad person, she is actually a really good person and she, without a doubt, deserved Beau. They were perfect together.
Beau is everything! I loved him, unconditionally and completely. I’m really not sure what else to say about him, except this lol….
This was a great story and I loved it. I cannot wait to see what happens with that lovely little cliffy we were given at the end!!! Bring on Ethan!
Well, well, well! What to say…
The hero deserves someone so much better.
Savanna got pregnant to the hero’s brother. No shit. And to make it worse, the baby daddy got engaged in front of her.
She kept the baby a secret from him.
Too bad the truth comes out
What webs we weave!
Highly recommend you check this one out.
Oh my I didn’t think Natasha Madison could make me like Savannah but she proved me wrong. Savannah has not had a easy life and just about the entire town hates her but she keeps on keeping on. This book will take you on quite the emotional rollercoaster. Prepare to have your guts ripped out and put but together again. Beau is just about the perfect Alpha who has been secretly in love with Savannah for years. Can these two get their head out of their butts and get a HEA? Beau will leave you panting for more after wiping your tears away. I absolutely loved everything about this book and the journey it took me on.
Southern Storm was a great read. I’d been looking forward to Beau and Savannah’s story and I was so not disappointed. Now I wont lie, there were times that I just wanted to jump into the pages and knock their heads together but their insecurities and fear meant that we get to watch a great couple with fabulous chemistry slowly come together.
There was plenty of drama and action in this book to keep me engaged and turning the pages. This was another fab read from this series and a series I would heartily recommend.
I was provided with a copy of this book from the publisher; there was no inducement or obligation and I opted to leave a review.
3.5 stars
In this 3rd installment Southern series, we learn more about Savannah and Beau – characters that have played key secondary roles in the first two books.
Savannah was cast as the villain in Southern Chance, but there was a lot we didn’t know about what happened to her. In Southern Storm we see the back story about how she arrived where she is and how that continues to influence her daily life. It gave me a new appreciation for a character that I wasn’t sure I could root for 100%. Beau has been the steadfast friend, but here we learn just how deep his devotion to Savannah runs.
I enjoyed getting to see these two finally deal with the feelings that have been simmering under the surface for years. It was also sweet to see the efforts Beau went through to make sure Savannah understood her value to the community.
My one “complaint” was that I really wanted to see more regarding the resolution of the conflict. We see pieces of the puzzle and the intrigue level is awesome, but I would have loved a little more of the hows and whys behind some of what happened. I was happy with the outcome of the story, but left with a lot of questions.
The Southern series has been entertaining and I am very curious to see how things play out in the upcoming final installment.
Southern Storm is a slow burn romance and one of those stories that you are not sure whether you are going to like the character, however Savannah grows on you. As the story unfolds and truths are revealed your understanding and forgiveness grows for her and the choices that she made. At times the story frustrated me and I wanted Beau and Savannah to move things along at my pace not theirs. This a friends to lovers romance where timing was never right and bad choices were made but this might just be the right time for this couple to finally get their HEA. A story that finds its way into your heart and turns you from a hater to a lover as the storm clears and the sun comes out for this couple.
I am in love with this series and all of their amazing characters . This is Savanah and Beau and believe me I was not a fan of Savanah. As we know their is always two sides to every story and sometimes the people and their actions are a product of their environment . Savanah and Beau have always been friends but when outside forces come back to cause damage it will either bring them closer together or tear them apart. This couple is fierce, loving, combustible and loyal ! Get ready to weather the storm …it is coming !

5 BEAUTIFUL STARS!! This book was breathtaking….so beautiful and full of love. Beau and Savannah have a story to tell you and it is one you will never forget. The story will touch your heart with all the feels and then some. Natasha Madison has gained a reader for life….I will now be 1-Clicking all her books and so should you.
This series is so much more than a cowboy romance series. You need to read the previous books before reading this one, because there’s a lot of backstory that is revealed through the other books. I’m pleasantly surprised by how well the suspense is paced through Savannah and Beau’s story, I was expecting to be more focused on the romance but the danger Savannah was in and who was behind it all kept me guessing and invested in the story too.
I was a little afraid to read this book because I’ve read the previous two books and I disliked Savannah. However, I love best friends to lovers romance, so I was also excited to read this book.
Beau and Savannah’s story is a true best friends to lovers romance, it has all the elements (typical “I can’t tell him/her because I’ll lose his/her friendship” and “He/She doesn’t see me in that way”) and I loved it!
Beau is an amazing character, he’s the sweetest guy ever, protective, caring and sexy. He’s going through a lot and all he can think about is how Savannah is feeling and thinking and he really goes out of his way to make her happy. He’s so selfless that sometimes it bothered me because that was one of the main reasons he never told her his feelings. Savannah was tougher to like, I can’t really say that I love her character but I did warm up to her, she had her reasons to make certain choices, her life wasn’t easy and she definitely went through a lot (A LOT!). There were a few things that still annoyed me about her even after the book’s ending (mainly connected to what went down between her, Kallie and Jacob, and to some secrets that should’ve been out in the open sooner).
Beau and Savannah were in love with each other forever, but they never confessed their feelings because they were too scared to lose their friendship. I really liked how their relationship developed into so much more through all the mysterious danger Savannah was in. There were a few comic moments and a few that made want to yell at both, but it was a beautifully written slow burn. I think the plot regarding the mystery was good, even though there was a moment or two that felt a little far-fetched, but I was still very curious about who was behind all of it and I was surprised when it all was unveiled.
Southern Storm is a sweet, slow burn, steamy, emotional best friends to lovers romance with a hint of a fake relationship trope and a lot of suspense, danger and a dash of mystery that kept me enthralled in Beau and Savannah’s story. After that ending, I’m excited to read Ethan’s story in the next book.
I stormy roller coaster of a story! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
This story is a wild ride of a love story! Beau and Savannah have so my chemistry and history you will not want to put this book down! There is a storm a brewing when secrets come out! This series is one hot one. Those you hated in previous books will show you what really happened in this one! This book brings out the best in all of the town and will keep you reading when you should stop! Loved all the twist and turns and the ending oh my!!! Can’t wait for Ethan to get his own book!
Southern Storm was one helluva ride. Oozing with deception, intrigue, suspense, and mystery. I was left sitting on the edge of my seat with anticipation waiting what would come next. Addicted. I was addicted to this story and with Savannah and Beau.
My heart broke for Savannah and how she was treated. She’s not what people make her out to be. She’s so strong and doesn’t go down without a fight—a true fighter. More than anything I just wanted her to be happy and know her worth.
Savannah and Beau have an unbreakable friendship. These two love each other so much, and everyone knows it, but the two of them. They’re both stubborn and refuse to tell the other how they feel with fear that they don’t feel the same. There are many obstacles that stand in their way, but fighting for what you want and what you believe in is worth the battle. Their journey isn’t easy, but it’s one that is undoubtedly worth it.
I loved Savannah and Beau so much. I loved their connection, there’s was no question they were meant for each other. Their love is so beautiful and I couldn’t help but shed happy tears.
Southern Storm was filled with heartbreak, soul crushing moments, angst, and pain. But it was also filled with light, hope, happiness, and love. Savannah and Beau’s love story is beautifully exquisite and it took my breath away.
With this being my first novel by Natasha Madison it’s no surprise that I want to read the previous books in the Southern Series and devour her other previous books. And I can’t wait for Ethan’s book—I desperately need it!
Beau and Savannah are best friends but what she doesn’t know is that Beau has always had feelings for her. And she has those same feelings towards Beau. I enjoyed the emotion, the angst, the friendship and I even ended up liking Savannah. This best friends to lovers story is full of drama, witty moments, and romance. I thought I knew exactly how the story was going to go and once again, the author shocked me! I cannot wait to see what happens in the next book!
I didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did! If you read my reviews from the previous 2 books, you know that Savannah wasn’t my favorite character. But after I read this book, I could only grow respect from her. I had a lot of empathy and was sympathetic over her situation.
It was heartbreaking to learn how this small town treated her after everything she went through when teenager, she had no one at her corner, expect her two best friends Jacob and Beau. I really enjoy learning how she built her life and business from scratch. She’s still not my favorite, but she deserve so much more from people, it was none of their business.
Also heartbreaking was how Beau discover the truth of his family, what his father and brother did to Savannah, the only woman he loved in his life. Also everything else he found out about his father, the one person he consider his hero.
Beau totally stole my heart in this book, he was swoon worthy and after so many year in love with Savannah he was finally all in to love, support and protect her. And both of them together was an explosion, it was hot, romantic and I was in love with them as a couple. When he said that home was wherever she was, I was swoon with him. Beau is my newest book boyfriend. Girl, find yourself a guy like him!
After everything someone (I’m not going to tell who, of course!) did to Savannah – and Ethan – to try and make her leave the city, and there was some horrible things, I loved how the city came through and supported her! It was heartwarming and so much deserved!
The ending was perfect and I may or may not confirm that I had some tears in my eyes. It also gave a start to the next and last book from the series, Southern Sunrise, Ethan’s book, and let me tell you, based on the last lines of the book, will be a heartbreaking one! Can’t wait!

“The storm passed us and we are still standing”
Going into this book, I hated Savannah, HATED HER. In my eyes there was no redemption for her, she was selfish and didn’t care who she hurt to get her way…. BUT, and this is a huge, ginormous but, Natasha once again weaved her spell on me and I not only stopped hating Savannah, I felt empathy for her, when she hurt, it made me sad, and although in the previous books she didn’t show her grief at the pain she caused, in this book, she absolutely did.
The way Savannah was, and has always been treated is cruel and unfair, and once again goes to highlight the inadequacies in society. Savannah was shunned for getting pregnant with a baby by a man who was already taken, whereas Jacob was the beloved son of the town, and quickly forgiven for his supposed ‘indiscretion’ but that’s another story, this is the beautiful love story of Savannah and Beau.
Beau is absolutely everything my heart desires, a best friend who stuck by, even when he believed his two best friends (one being the girl he was in love with) had been sleeping together behind his back, he helped when Savannah needed help, with her bar, with her son, with whatever she needed because that’s just the loyal man he is.
Beau and Savannah have been in love with each other for years, neither having the courage to tell the other, but when Savannah and Ethan’s lives are put at risk, Beau goes into protector mode and claims them as his, telling Savannah they are getting married. This is what they both dream of, but they also both believe this situation is the others nightmare. Once the air is cleared and declarations are made, these two finally get to have their HEA, but there’s someone out there that doesn’t want that to happen.
Once again Natasha has written a perfect love story full of angst and sadness, but also hope and beauty. We should all be so lucky as to find the kind of love she writes about.
I can’t recommend enough, giving this book a try, if you, like me, are scared to go in due to your hatred of Savannah, believe me, the leap of faith is more than worth it. This is Natasha Madison, her stories won’t let you down.
Book 3 in this Southern series, and this is Beau and Savannah’s story, which if you’ve read any of the previous books, you will know that Savannah ended up pregnant and splitting up a couple, which didn’t go down too well.
So in the previous books Savannah has come across as a character that we don’t really like, she made some poor choices, but in the end she did everything for her son Ethan. She managed to get a house and run the local bar, making a life for her and her son. Throughout all of this Beau has been at her side, as her best friend. But then we find out who Ethan’s real baby daddy is and all hell breaks loose!!
The thing is. these two have loved each other since they were teens, but neither knows that about the other, and can’t see it. They spend a lot of time together, yet neither is willing to tell the other how they feel!! I really wanted to shake them both at times!!!
But they are always there for each other, Beau is a great character, very protective and it turns out that he has the most awful family of all! Yet he is the new mayor and wants to change the way things are done, but finds it a little hard going convincing people. When things turn nasty Beau is always by Savannah’s side, comforting her and helping her through it. He’s also the one who rallies everyone to support her in the end. The push and pull between these two gets quite intense until they finally step up and sort themselves out!! You end up admiring Savannah and all she has done for Ethan, her ability to bounce back after being knocked down so many times takes some doing.
Another great addition to this series, highly recommended.
I devoured this! Small town romance/ friends to lovers it’s all of the above. Beau and Savannah have loved each other forever but kept each other in the friend zone both afraid that the other didn’t feel the same. Together they are explosive!
She’s the town misfit. From the other side of the tracks, the towns tramp. He’s the new mayor, comes from an elite family and her best friend. Beau and Savannah are everything. And I totally enjoyed their story. So excited for Ethan’s book next. It’s going to be wild!

5 He’s the Hero In Every Romance She’s Read Stars!!!
This third book in this story is an action packed book with angst, secrets and surprises. We’re taken on a journey of a lifetime as Beau and Savannah navigate their way to a HEA.
Right from the get-go we’re thrown into a tempest of a storm with people that you’re supposed to trust, those that you’re leery of and a couple that you know you’re not supposed to but can’t find anything to back up why this is the case…it’s just a gut feeling… and through it all Savannah and Beau navigate their emotions.
I loved everything about this book. Savannah is a woman that has been through the ringer in this town and the fact that she’s still standing and making her bar a success is amazing. She’s always been part of a group that included Beau and Jacob and she’s always loved Beau, but never felt like he felt the same way, even though he dropped little nuggets through the years and on the night of Beau’s beginning of being the Mayor and her life once again changes!
Beau grabbed my heart and hasn’t let go. He’s definitely NOT his father’s son and that becomes clear very quickly. And there’s a sizzling chemistry between these two and I kept wanting them to explore and realize they’re each other’s soul mate. But it’s not an easy path for these two. There are people that are willing to do ANYTHING to keep them apart…and holy moly when these secrets are revealed…talk about fireworks!!
Be prepared to have ups and downs along with a few sideways thrown in while reading this book. Your heart will ache in one chapter and then beating out of your chest in the next one and every emotion I felt was absolutely a true thrill of a ride!
Complex ..that is the best way to describe these characters and their situation. Savannah is a character quite honestly I wasn’t sure I could like…but an important lesson from this book that you can take away, if nothing else, is that it is so easy to judge someone for what you think you know…but things are not always what they seem. Beau has been in love with Savannah all of his life. They have ridden the “friend zone” for so long..but that all changes when a few family secrets are revealed. He has recently been elected Mayor, and his predecessor (his father), is as corrupt as they come. Beau was blind to this, and trying to change this puts Savannah in danger. Great Friends to more troupe, and the build up…well it is..you just want to push them together and lock them in a room hot! Great read!
This friends to lovers, suspenseful, small town romance has you suffering from whip lash(in a good way) Just when you thought you might know what will happen, Natasha takes it in another direction. I think I yelled out loud a few times. It was a unique and amazing story of love, friendship and Co parenting at its best. Can’t wait for Ethan’s story in Southern Sunrise.
