Buried secrets never stay hidden in the South.Savannah I’m the one who broke up the golden couple. The woman people still whisper about, point at, and give dirty looks to. Did I sleep with the prom king? No. Did I sleep with the town’s golden boy on vacation from college? Yes. Did I believe that he was going to marry me? Wholeheartedly. Did he? Not even close. He got engaged right in front of me … close. He got engaged right in front of me and then his father threw two hundred dollars at me and told me to take the trash out.
So, I raised my son in a town where people love him because they think that his father is the sheriff.
It was going great, everything was working out till my lie got out.
Beau
I was getting ready to take over the mayoral office from my father, who was my hero.
Until I heard the secret he hoped would stay buried forever.
My brother has a son, not just any son but a son with the woman who was my best friend.
The woman I secretly have loved from the moment she stood up to me and broke my nose in kindergarten.
I need to protect her and in order to do that, we need to get married.
Too bad her nightmare is my dream come true.

This story broke my heart in places but by the end had put it back together. I was desperate to read Beau and Savannahs story and I absolutely loved it all. The story itself was amazing and kept me hooked the whole time I was reading but that ending OMG I wasn’t expecting it at all. I loved reading how they overcome all the hurdles that were thrown at them. Absolutely fantastic and deserving of more than 5 stars.
4.5 Stars
This is a book I’ve been looking forward to. I had a feeling it was going to be one heck of a ride. There is so much emotion in this book. It just pours off the characters. My heart hurts so much for Savannah going in, but learning the back story and to see what she deals with everyday just adds another layer of heartache. Beau proved my opinion of him in this book. He showed why is such great book boyfriend material and the mayor this town deserves. Secrets are a big part of this book. That’s where a lot of the heartache and heartbreak generate from. Hold onto your seat because you’re are in for some shock. I love there are two epilogues because they pack the feels. It’s the reward both Beau and Savannah deserve. The set up for the next book was awesome. Left me with gasp and wanting to read it now!
OMG, Natasha Madison ripped my heart out and slowly put it back. I cried and laughed, I seriously went through so many emotions. Southern Storm Is the best book that I have read. You need to read this beautifully written story.
This is the 3rd book in the Southern Series and is Beau and Savannah’s story.
I really wanted to hate Savannah but after reading her side of the story and what happens to her i couldn’t help but like her. Beau has always been one of my favorites in this series and i love him even more after reading this book. His love and loyalty to Savannah is what every girl wants from a man and Savannah is a lucky lady.
Here I was so sure that I wouldn’t be able to like or even care what happened with Samantha. Really, I should know by now that if Natasha Madison wants to dislike or to like a character she’s going to make me. One way or another, it’ll happen. You have to read the first two books in this series before starting Southern Storm. Otherwise you’ll not get the real feel for the way Madison puts the entire story together. You’re going to want to get to know all the characters the way Madison intended. So book one, I obviously despised her. Book 2, my feelings didn’t change much. However, in this book, I ended up feeling way more for her than I thought possible. I ended up being shocked that I was thoroughly impressed by her. I respected her and I just didn’t know what to do with that feeling after such a strong dislike. So read all three books and follow along with the ups and downs of Natasha Madison!
While my thoughts for Savannah might have been confusing. I was crazy about Beau. In the end, I felt like they might have been perfect for each other. This book really captures the way people grow and evolve into the person they should be. This is a story about second chances, about growing into yourself. It’s a story about finding strength in yourself and standing on your own two legs while being strong enough to lean on those around you. There’s several valuable lessons in here if you read with your heart open.
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
OMG what did I just read!!! This latest book in the Southern Series absolutely blew my mind!!! When this author mentioned that Savannah was getting a book I was like um no lol. I wasn’t a Savannah fan at all however after reading this book and getting some of her backstory, I began to understand the reason why she was the way that she was. Beau and Savannah have been friends since grade school and Beau has loved her for about just as long. When all of Savannah’s secrets come to light, its Beau who comes to her rescue and offers a solution to her problem. Now they both can no longer deny the intense feeling they have for each other. Can they make a go of their new relationship before the past tries to ruin their present? What a great story, I was hooked from beginning to end and hated to see it end. I can’t wait for the next book in this amazing series and I highly recommend this book to all. Well done!!!
Let’s start off with that if you haven’t read the first two books in the Southern Series, you’ll probably want to. If you read book 1 I’m sure you are not a fan of Savannah’s. I knew that there had to be more to her story and I trusted that Madison would reveal it all when the time was right. Well this book did not fall short of drama. I ended up feeling so bad for Savannah and admiring the strength and unconditional love of all the friends in this series, especially Beau. I’m not really sure what to say about the plot without giving away some major spoilers. So let me say this, Savannah is consistently pushed down by certain people in the town. She has to find strength and learn to accept help from others. Beau is there to wade through the storm with her. Its a strong storm but their friendship and love is stronger.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by author)…
This is Savannah and Beau’s story.
Okay so we all know that Savannah is not exactly a favorite character due to her past choices. If you read Southern Chance (which you total should!) you know the truth about Ethan’s father; well now so does Beau.
I enjoyed this book mostly because of Beau and his need to take care of his friends but especially Savannah. It was so apparent to everyone that they liked each other, but of course neither one noticed it. Beau was so swoon-worthy throughout the book and from what it sounds like he was always that awesome; even when he thought his best friend slept with the love his life, he still stayed helped out with everything.
Now at first I hated Savannah for sleeping Jacob (I hated Jacob too), however, once I learned the truth I still didn’t like her for selfish actions. Savannah justifies all her actions because they were for Ethan, but in the end others suffered tragic loss to make sure she was taken care of. Now I will say that this book finally gives you the kind of Savannah and even if you don’t like her, you have to respect how she matured and created a great life for her son.
I love Beau (have I said that already?), I just can not express how much I loved that man’s words, actions and his love for his friends. Beau’s family totally suck b*lls and I’m glad, he finally saw the truth.
In the end, I loved this story and how it came together, although at one point I wanted to shake them both. I mean come on you guys get super hot and heavy and you still don’t know if the other person likes you; I think at the point you can straight out ask them. I do like Savannah more now but she still not my favorite because that spot belongs to Beau 😉
The ending, however, shocked the daylights out of me, I had no idea that was going to happen. I can’t wait to see what lies ahead because I’m pretty sure Ethan is going outshine all the men in this series.
I didn’t know how I was going to feel about Savannah while reading this book. I mean, Ms. Madison did a great job in making you NOT like her in the first book. But Savannah’s story is heartwarming and heartbreaking. It’s the story of a fighter. Of someone who keeps getting knocked down but doesn’t stop getting back up. Of someone who is not a quitter. She has her moments of weakness but she’s been strong for a long time and everyone breaks a little at some point. But Beau is there to catch her, to pick her back up, and to hold her forever. Their story is touching and redeeming and the end will leave you wanting even more. Excellent story!
This book has everything you need in your life; drama, passion, surprises and swoony romance. At every turn the worst that could happen, happens. This story pulled on the heartstrings and gives you all the feels. And when you think you know the story you will be shocked and give kudos to Natasha for surprising you once again.
Natasha wrote a beautiful story that will take you on a whirlwind journey and in the end warm your heart. And damn that little set up for Ethan’s book was expected but damn I need his book now.
This book is just wonderfull, after reading the first two books I didn’t think it would get any better, but boy was I wrong. The chemistry between Beau and Savannah is just trough the roof. They just don’t realize it from one another.
This book really has to be read after the previous two, I don”t believe it can be read as a standalone.
But the series does not dissapoint, I have always love the books by Natasha Madison but I think she even got better!!!
3.5 – 4 Stars!
As soon as I reached the end of Southern Comfort I started counting down the days until this one released! I was so glad that I got to jump back into The Southern Series! From chapter one this book had my attention which I loved. I enjoyed this story!
I loved how it felt like no time had passed since I finished book two. I’ve been wanting to get into Savannah’s mind ever since I read Southern Chance and I’m so glad I finally got to! Same with Beau!
Savannah and Beau’s connection pulled me in and I really felt both of their emotions. These two and their story sure kept me on my toes throughout!
Ms.Madison has created another great read with Southern Storm! I can’t wait for Southern Sunrise to be released!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Wildfire Marketing Solutions / the author*
Natasha Madison’s Southern Storm is Beau and Savannah’s story . . . and, what a storm it is! One that has been brewing for almost a decade!
Beau and Savannah have loved each other forever, but neither will admit it to either, even though everyone else seems to know. They both believe their love is unrequited and they are meant to be nothing more than best friends.
There is drama everywhere in this town! And, Savannah seems to be at the center of it even though she would rather be anywhere else. But, Beau is over it. He’s willing to do whatever it takes to keep Savannah and her son safe . . .even if it is marrying her!
Beau is a true Southern gentleman. He is willing to have Savannah as a friend and never declare his love to her just to keep her a part of his. Heart and soul of their small town, Beau is ready to right some major wrongs no matter what the cost.
And Savannah . . . she has the thickest skin ever! All she wants is the best life she can give to her son, Ethan no matter the personal cost to herself. She has given so much to a town to be treated the way she is. Honestly, a lesser person would have broken and left. I thought I would hate her after book one in this series, but now, sigh . . . she was an amazing character!
Lordy, Natasha Madison can weave one heck of a story! Corruption, greed, hatred . . . this town has crazy secrets that are so intertwined people can’t seem to escape them or the consequences they bring. Even though they are so in love, watching Beau and Savannah try to survive this storm was an amazing journey. 5 stars!
Southern drama.
So this one continues the drama from Book 1. I’m not a fan of Savannah’s and definitely didn’t agree with her keeping secrets and destroying lives.
But this is a good Southern drama that will keep you turning the page.
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
Marriage of Convenience | Romantic Suspense
Southern Storm is the third book in the Southern series from Natasha Madison and picks up exactly where it left off in Southern Comfort. If you haven’t read that one yet and plan to read this one, don’t fret. This one CAN stand alone. Characters from previous books do play small parts in this one but not enough to spoil their stories or cause confusion in this one. This book features a new couple.
Southern Storm has an ample amount of suspense and intrigue. I wasn’t expecting it to be so suspenseful, but I liked how there was a bit of mystery thrown into the story. Natasha does a great job at giving her readers a mix of swoony romance and intrigue. She also writes a marriage of convenience into this one so if you’re a fan of the trope you’’ll want to check it out. Now, while I enjoyed this book as a whole, especially after reading the first two books in the series, there were a few things that left me in confusion. The first thing, I felt like we were literally DROPPED right into a story. I was hoping for a prologue to remind me of where this couple “came from” especially since their story STARTED at the conclusion of Southern Comfort, but there wasn’t one. It took me a bit to actually get into the story because my mind kept trying to remember these two. Another thing I felt should have been added to the story a bit more was Savannah’s son Ethen. I understand NOW after I finished the story why he’s with Jacob so much (you’ll understand if you read book 2) but I couldn’t for the life of me remember WHY until I finished. Again, a prologue would have been helpful here. Savannah is after all a single mom and we RARELY see her being a mom throughout the book.
Mayor Beau is a great hero. He’s strong, protective, and has a heart full of gold. One would wonder HOW he got to be such a great man because his father is such a horrible guy, but he’s definitely a precious gem mixed in with all the ugly stones. He’s also an alpha man through and through and watching him protect Savannah was wonderful to watch. If you like strong heroes you’ll want to read all about Beau because he’s delicious!
Finally, this is a story about healing and even though Savannah’s issues got on my nerves, it was nice to watch her come into her own despite all the crap thrown at her. She’s a strong woman and I adore authors who write women to be like this.
If you’re looking for a new book and have read the previous books in the series, you won’t want to miss this installment. While it wasn’t my favorite in the series (only because I had a hard time remembering all the facts), it is a good one and many readers will enjoy it immensely.
Since I started this series I have hated Savannah. But I have also been dying to get my hands on this book. I was really hoping that there was a good reason for why she was so selfish and how she justified all of the horrible things that happened because of the choices she made. To a point I can justify her making those choices, she was young and scared and was given an easy out by one of her closest friends who she trusted. But when she saw all the fallout that happened to him, all the things he lost she almost just shrugged her shoulders and let it slide off. But I was sure when we got her side of the story there would be some ground shaking reason why.
Reading this book I was so conflicted. Beau was such an amazing character. He loved with his whole heart and he forgave his best friends for their betrayals and secrets and he still loved Savannah. And when all the secrets came out and he was justifiably hurt and upset he was still more concerned about Savannah and her feelings. And when Jacob also completely took her back I wanted to scream at them. Seriously how much damage can one person do to everyone she loves and just not care.
And while I absolutely hated her selfishness and lets be honest she was a complete acehole of a character. I did find myself feeling sorry for her. She had such horrible role models and she was pretty much alone and pregnant and everyone who should have helped and supported her were such deplorable human beings but she perpetuated it. She just threw everyone who loved her out of the boat so she wouldn’t drown and I couldn’t get over that.
But Beau was everything you could want in a husband. However even he was stupid. He loved her so blindly and even when she admitted her feelings he still hid from it and let it all continue as it had with both of them being oblivious to how they felt and that just aggravated me too.
Now this all sounds like one huge big negative rant but here’s the thing. I hated Savannah, Beau annoyed me but the story was great. There was so much going on I couldn’t put the book down. And even while I hated Savannah, this was written well enough that I felt sorry for her. And even when I was ranting at my husband about what a bitch I thought she was I still needed to know what was going to happen and how things were going to play out with a few of the plot threads. I really enjoyed reading the book and it added to the series even if she didn’t do anything to redeem herself she was just human. And who am I to judge her choices, when I have never had to make them.
I can’t wait to read Ethan’s story. I honestly kind of feel like it’s going to be a bit of a train wreck with the amount of people who are now not just in on the secret but are so wrapped up in it. And I am dying to read it.
I have to admit that previously I despised the character of Savannah in the Southern Series by Natasha Madison. Of course, this author has proven that looks are deceiving and you need to see both sides of the story. We all build walls to protect ourselves and that was what Savannah had done. When you read this story, you will see her in a whole new light and just like me, will make the move to team Savannah and Beau. There are many heartbreaking skeletons in this closet and I highly recommend a tissues for this one.
Southern Storm, this is the third book in the Southern series. Give me all the words- this one pulls at the heart strings! Loved every single word.
I am loving the Southern Series! After reading the first 2 books, Savannah was not my favorite character but I had to keep reminding myself that she must have had some redeeming qualities of Jacob would never had covered for her nor would Beau be her best friend (and love each others lives). Savannah’s life was completely dictated by circumstances of her upbringing. She really is a good person but she lets what others think about her affect her too much, thus the whole story of the Southern Series. I loved watching how Beau and Savannah have been best friends in love with each other but neither thought the other felt the same. This story really shows how much the town people really do love Savannah considering she never did anything to them per se. My only complaint would be that those in Kallie’s inner sanctum such as Casey, her parents etc, still think Jacob had a child with Savannah while he was dating Kallie. While it is great that everyone has accepted Savannah so easily, I would have liked to explore Kallie’s (and her family’s) acceptance of Savannah more. I feel this is such an important part and foundation of the story. Despite wanting this, I loved watching Savannah and Beau finally admit their love to each other (I mean Ethan at 8 years old knew it) and begin the life they should have had for so long.
I couldn’t wait to get Savannah and Beau’s story and Natasha Madison didn’t let me down. It was perfect!
Savannah has been the girl we hate. She’s from the wrong side of town and has made some poor life choices, mostly out of desperation. I had a feeling that I would love her though, once I got her full story, and I do.
She’s had Beau beside her since childhood. He’s always been her defender and oh boy has she needed it! And she’s always loved him. My heart broke for her at times. She was treated so poorly, especiallyby Beau’s family. Beau, he’s loved her forever, stood by her, defended her and protected her.
True love always prevails and a house can become a home. They faced many storms and stayed standing. My heart is happy!
