It’s easier to control tears than fear. ⠀It’s easier to suffer in silence than ask for help. ⠀It’s easier to be loved than to love.⠀⠀Nadia has a past. A messy past full of grief, suffering, and regret. Broken and fragile, she’s scared to share her secrets and struggles to move on.⠀Until he comes along. A handsome face; an athletic build; the strength he emanates. He’s everything she needs to … everything she needs to regain control of her emotions. He’s the flicker of light at the end of a dark tunnel. ⠀
But she refuses to take advantage of what he offers, too scared it’ll backfire.⠀
⠀
Thomas carries a burden. A heavy burden that left him numb. He hides behind the mask of a playboy, refusing to feel, convinced that fate made a mistake and his job is to fix it. In his orderly world, there’s no place for joy and happiness.⠀
Until she comes along. A beautiful face; a petite body; a sea of sadness in her eyes. She flips his world upside down with one look, and maybe – just maybe, there is a reason why he’s still breathing. ⠀
Except she’s his best friend’s off-limits little sister and if he touches her, she might just be the reason he stops breathing.

The sound of salvation tells the story of Nadia and Thomas. She’s out of his limits because she’s his best friend’s little sister. And she is absolutely the opposite of what he likes. Nonetheless, will that be enough to keep them apart?
This book exceeded my expectations. Or rather it wasn’t what I thought it’ll be. The story is quite beautiful for how real it is. It talks about issues that are rarely touched. And it’s so well-written that through it you feel the love, the pain, the happiness. It makes you feel and live along with the characters.
Although it has some sex scenes, they’re few and not explicit at all, so that’s good.
Can’t wait to read The Taste of Redemption!
I received a complimentary copy of this book for an honest review. And I’m writing this voluntarily.
If you have a sensitive soul this may be hard to read. It does have Triggers in it.
….as well as a massive Cliffy.
If you love Brothers Best Friend, that also rips out your heart and soul, this is the book for you!
I will admit, Thomas and I didn’t connect the way I wanted to connect, but I do acknowledge what he is and does for Nadia. There is always someone out there for everyone. He was there for Nadia
Thomas saw through to Nadia because he knew her before the trauma that happened in her life.
This one was a hard book to read through. The emotions were so real. I felt the physical hurt. If you want to feel while you read.

I was generously given an arc in exchange for an honest review!

(Dual POVs)
We meet Thomas, who has a revolving door of blonde, blue eyed assistants that he fucks and then fires. Nadia is Thomas’ business partner’s sister. Nadia is coming home after being away for two years. Thomas helps pick Nadia up from the airport with her brother Nick and Thomas feels an instant connection. Nadia has returned home to escape abuse and is reluctant to tell anyone. Being around Thomas helps Nadia deal with her anxiety and fears better than any of the pills that she takes. Nadia gives into Thomas for one night which makes Thomas hungry for more, yet Nadia doesn’t initially want a repeat.
First I want to say that I think the author has so much potential in the future. I thought her writing was beautiful! The Thomas you meet in chapter one is completely different from the Thomas you’ll end up falling for by the end of the story. He’s supportive, comforting, protective and completely smitten with Nadia. I LOVED the way Thomas stands up for her, especially to his best friend, Nick. I honestly disliked the way that Nadia ends up being easily manipulated towards the end of the story. This story does end in a cliffhanger and I am biting-my-nails anxious to know what happens with Nadia and Thomas!
Favorite quotes:
He was the strongest drug I ever tried. Nothing could compare. I didn’t understand why; I couldn’t find a single explanation, and I no longer cared. Why would I? He eradicated pain, and there was nothing more important. -Nadia
”Why do you want to run?”
“Because you’re hoping for more.” She cupped my face. “Lie to me.”
“You’re delusional.”
“Lie better. Please.”
“I don’t want more,” I said, then contradicted the words with a kiss. “I don’t want you to be mine, baby doll.” -Thomas
Nadia is beautiful, gentle and kind but something has happened and it continues to torment her.
No one knows whats wrong no matter how much they ask or try to help.
She’s now moved back home from living overseas.
Everyone assumed she was happy and content because she had met Adrian who was so in love with her and came across as Mr Perfect
But now they’ve split up
What happened??? Why is she a mess??? What is she hiding from those who care about her????
When Thomas meets Nadia he is shocked with his reaction to her.
He’s a love them and leave them kind of guy and Nadia is off limits because she is his best friends younger sister. But for the first time he doesn’t care and he want’s her more than anyone he’s ever met before.
Thomas is the only one who truly sees the pain and suffering that Nadia hides as it mirrors his own. The more you learn about him, you see he is thoughtful, caring and a fierce protector.
This story pulled me in and I could not stop reading, wanting to know what was haunting Nadia and if her and Thomas would ever be more than just a vice through tough times.
Yes it ends on a cliffhanger but it is sooooooo worth the read.
Its beautiful, raw, seductive and heartbreaking. An emotional rollercoaster from being at peace to then devastated. There is healing, its slow and not easy but hope can be seen throughout the story.
The Sound of Salvation is the sweetest heartache I’ve ever known. Thomas and Nadia bring out the ugly crier in us all to expose the beauty that’s hidden within. Dice invites readers to be vulnerable to every possibility. Even when the world around them is falling apart. I laughed. I cried. I hoped. I learned. I healed. And I loved.
The Sound of Salvation was a really great read, and will pull you into Thomas & Nadia’s journey! I loved Thomas & Nadia both have been hurt and damage by their past! They are both each other’s drug, and are a support for one another! Their sexual chemistry was smoking hot! But that ending left me with my month hanging open and saying no don’t! Bring on part2 The Taste of Redemption!
/ : The Sound of Salvation (Deliverance Book 1) is book one in the Deliverance duet by I. A. Dice. As soon as I read the blurb I knew I was going to love this one, but just how much I wasn’t prepared for. Told in dual POV, The Sound of Salvation (Deliverance Book 1) is about Nadia and Thomas. Two broken people who come together to try and help one another mend their broken pieces back together again. But the path to get there is filled with a whole lot of trials, tribulations, and a ton of heartache along the way.
If you are looking for an angsty, heart wrenching, best friend’s sister romance then The Sound of Salvation (Deliverance Book 1) is a perfect read! It’s raw, it’s real, and it’s emotional and you will not be able to put it down. I can not wait for the conclusion of Thomas and Nadia’s story in The Taste of Redemption.

() : Thomas Celix may come off as your typical, wealthy, arrogant, playboy. But he’s also so much more than that. We see that with the way he treats Nadia. I absolutely adore Thomas! But his playboy ways are just a bandaid for the pain and guilt that he’s been feeling for the last three years. And his vice just happens to be tall, skinny, blonde-haired and blue-eyed women.
, .
Nadia is the complete opposite of Thomas’s normal vices. But for some reason, he’s instantly attracted to her. Nadia is off-limits to Thomas, he doesn’t need conflict with his best friend and business partner. But there’s just something about Nadia that Thomas is finding hard to stay away from.
. . , , . ’ .
() : Nadia has just returned home from being away at school in New York for the past couple of years. Very quickly after Thomas first meets her he can tell that something isn’t quite right with Nadia. She’s flighty and frightened around men. Not even Nadia’s brother notices that something is off… but Thomas does, and he wants nothing more than to help heal the demons in her eyes.
. . ’ ; ’ , . ? , .
Just like Thomas, Nadia has a vice. But her vice is pills. Pills that help her cope with the memories of her time in New York that continue to torment her. Both are trying to fight their demons in the only way they know how, albeit not in the most healthy of ways, but when Thomas is around Nadia doesn’t rely on her pills quite as much as she used to.
I love that I. A. Dice doesn’t jump right into what’s going on with Nadia. Not finding out right away definitely added quite a bit of suspense and mystery surrounding Nadia’s character.
, , .
: The secondary character, i.e Nick (Nadia’s brother & Thomas’s best friend) and Nick’s fiance who also happens to be a good friend of Nadia’s, I didn’t care for as much. I do NOT like Nadia’s brother, at all. At first, I did. He just seemed like an overly protective big brother. But after a while, you see that doesn’t really seem like the case and I hate the way he tries to manipulate Nadia. I love the scene where Thomas steps in… *SWOON*!
. .
/ : There actually aren’t very many steamy scenes and the ones that we do have are not very detailed. That’s not this author’s style, so if you’re looking for that, you won’t find it here. But the intense chemistry between Nadia and Thomas makes them work. I do like a bit more description and more… umm, “romancing” before just jumping straight into the deed but the scenes were still enjoyable to read.
/ : HUGE, JAW-DROPPING, CLIFFHANGER!!! Even though I saw it coming in the last couple of chapters or so, I still was totally not ready for it to happen. I can already tell the conclusion of Nadia and Thomas’s story, The Taste of Redemption, is going to be a super angsty, delicious read and I can not wait for it! I’m really, really hoping Thomas and Nadia find they’re happily ever after… together. I. A. Dice certainly knows how to leave you begging for more!

Wow, wow, wow….. this book had me hooked from beginning to end and so consumed that even when I wasn’t reading, this story was still invading my thoughts. Thomas and Nadia were two broken souls drowning by guilt and trying to survive the best way they knew how, Thomas with women and Nadia with pills. Their story was filled with angst, suspense, drama, secrets and a relationship that neither was looking for but couldn’t deny. If you’re looking for an addicting, heart-wrenching, gripping read that will leave you jaw-dropped by the last page, then this is the book you NEED to read!! I was so stunned by the end that I kept swiping my tablet for more pages but there were no more… NO MORE FREAKING PAGES AND I NEEDED MORE!!! I absolutely, without a doubt need book 2 like yesterday!!!
Yes the book ends with a cliffhanger but don’t let that stop you! It’s worth the read. Possible trigger for people sensitive to drug abuse and abuse in general. Strong characters and easy to follow plot. I can’t wait to continue the story!
The Sound of Salvation from I. A. Dice is a beautifully written book full of complex characters, emotions, angst and everything in between. The book looks at the characters Nadia and Thomas, both have secrets, hurts and large walls to get over. Nadia is an Art student and is the little sister to Thomas’s best friend, hence the complications. Thomas is a bit of a jerk who is a womaniser, brutal in his bluntness but sees something in Nadia that he wants for himself. Sadly, he has secrets too and he’s not in the business of sharing. The story looks at how they build their relationship whilst keeping secrets and trying not to use each other with a lot of choices thrown in the mix.
If you’re looking for an angst filled, passionate, heart-wrenching and gripping book then this author is for you. She certainly leaves you wanting more. There will be a second book in this series, so hopefully we will find out what happens with Nadia and Thomas.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review
This story dealt with an onslaught of emotions that had me gripping the edge of my seat. My heart could barely take it. Nadia and Thomas are two broken souls who seek each other out for comfort that nothing and no one else can give them. Their pasts are haunting over a possible future which both of them start off in denial about. I did not expect the way that things ended. I’m tied up in knots over what will happen next. I’m desperately awaiting the next book, which I hope won’t be too long away!
I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thomas is Nick’s best friend and business partners. At the beginning of the reading it is possible that you may dislike his way of thinking about relationships with women. Be patient. It doesn’t take long for him to receive a lesson and give him a taste of his own medicine.
Nadia is Nick’s sister. She returns to try to continue her life, after a devastating relationship. But the demons of the past chases her, preventing her from moving forward and finally freeing herself.
Thomas becomes the support she needs to overcome the ravages of her past and present. But guilt does not allow him to move forward.
The book has a huge cliffhanger. It’s angsty, emotional, heart wrenching and gripping, with some dark themes. It’s a good story that you don’t want to miss.

Where do I begin?!?….
The Sound of Salvation hit all the nerves, in such a good way. The emotional turmoil that characters experienced and seeing how it shapes them and the way everything unfolds is so compelling.
I can’t lie there were times where I wanted to slap Nadia but with the next breathe I wanted to hug her, help and guide her. Her character was the hardest to get through but in the best way. Because you feel everything she is feeling and you understand why she reacts the way she does. While wanted to just guide her in the right direction.
Let’s dive into Thomas a quick second. The growth of his character is well written that I can’t wait to see how the events of The Sounds of Salvation will shape him in The Taste of Redemption.
“I wanted her, and I had no idea why.”
Oh how I loved this book! God, Thomas was such a little playboy punk at the beginning of the book. My favorite type of romance hero. I love when playboys fall, because when they do, they fall hard.
I loved the twist that this author threw in! Nadia is more than just his best friends little sister. There is so much mystery around her reappearance in the lives of Thomas, her brother, and best friend. Little by little you find out just what’s going on with her and it makes for such an emotional read.
These two together are fire. There are some comedic breaks in the mostly emotional story. Mostly because the playboy Thomas finds it hard to break through Nadia’s barriers. Their love is forbidden and hard-fought, and I kept wanting more and more
I want to write in all SHOUTY CAPS but I’m going to restrain myself! This was my first read by I.A. Dice so I wasn’t sure what I was in for but man this book was so good. My heart is currently lying on the floor while I sit here with tear stained cheeks trying to figure out where everything went wrong/right?!? I don’t even know. I wasn’t sure what to think of Thomas from the beginning but I did love his no BS attitude. Nadia broke my heart over and over again. The past that she endured is enough to break anyone but living with that past is even harder. I’ve been looking for a different type of read lately and this book didn’t disappoint. I can’t wait until the next book comes out. Until then I’ll be sitting in the corner while quietly rocking trying to console myself.
