A collection that includes all three novels in Anne Rice’s seductive retelling of the Sleeping Beauty story.A spell has been cast upon a lovely young princess who sleeps, waiting for someone to save her. The Prince awakens Beauty, not with a kiss, but with sexual initiation. His reward for ending the hundred years of enchantment is Beauty’s complete and total enslavement to him…In 1983, Anne … him…
In 1983, Anne Rice, writing as A.N. Roquelaure, began the first installment of a series that is now considered a forerunner of erotic literature. This collection—containing The Claiming of Sleeping Beauty, Beauty’s Punishment, and Beauty’s Release—is a testament to Anne Rice’s irresistible talent, exploring the world of erotic yearning and fantasy in a classic trilogy that makes the forbidden side of passion a doorway into the hidden regions of the psyche and the heart.

OK, if you have read some of my reviews you know I read the twisted, S/M books and have been known to go off on the stupid ones. This trilogy I will not go off on.
Anne spins a nice set of stories following Beauty as she is torn down and re made into a much better person. Not for the kids people and not for the prudish.
I love erotica. Especially in this format. Not just lusty and dirty. But, sensual and real. I’ve read all 4 of this anthology. The first is always the best. Third one is second best. But, all are amazing as is the great Anne Rice herself. You feel like you are living the story!
I recommend this book to those who of you who like erotic novels! My favorite character is Beauty, of course! I like how all of the characters are open to sleeping with anyone! The series is very LGBT friendly, as are other novels by Anne Rice. There were some good twists in the books that surprised me! The series is much steamier than her other novels!
