The last book in the trilogy, I got mixed feeling about it.
As usual, Ms. Sky sure know how to write steamy scenes. Balto still the same powerful, satisfying, generous, gentle and dominating lover at the same time. While Cassini, this girl have it all in sexy department I would say.
For their chemistry, I like the angst part of it. How they know they love each other but for saying that word feels so huge cause of their past. Specially for Balto. So when they finally admit and say it out loud, it’s so worthed.
For the dark side… I kinda dissapointed. I was waiting for that boom. Specially with Lucian. Was hoping there’s gonna be a peek with him still lurking. But seems like for Ms. Sky this part isn’t the biggest thing in the plot cause Lucian just happen, the plot get a spike a little, a notch or two, then flat. Then with Balto position as the King, I mean it’s not like he is just a CEO of a mere company or something, that guy is THE SKULL KING! I just feel like it’s being simplimize to get to the happy ending.
For their “situation” (cause I don’t wanna be spoiler here, so let just call it a situation) I wish they handle it with more adult like. At that moment I feel like those pages aren’t suppose to happen that way knowing these characters. Glad finally Balto come back and being him.HEA
And the end…. It’s perfect HEA
Will we see Balto as a father?
I loved finding out how Balto and Casinni’s story would end. Of course it was no easy journey and we learned early on how stubborn Balto was. I found myself at the end of my seat to see if they would finally be together for good or go their separate ways. Great story!
A perfect ending to this series. We get to see Balto and Cassini go through the highest of highs to the lowest of lows with their feelings and emotions for each other. And in true Penelope Sky fashion we get to see their HEA after a rocky relationship.
This was the perfect book to wrap the series up! Balto goes through every emotion in this book and it was nice to see him show emotion! The fact that he admits he loves her to everyone but her is kind of realistic! Cassini loves fiercely through this entire book even when she knows her life might be ending! She also shows what a badass woman she is as well! The writing was amazing and I literally had every emotion reading this book! It hooked me from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down! Penelope Sky is an amazing writer!
What an amazing series! I absolutely love this one! I would have never imagined falling in love with a Skull King. It always seems to take these men so long to figure out they are in love, but when they do… OMG is it hot.
I love Balto so much I dare say he’s my favorite Male character from this author sadly this trilogy comes to an end it was such a spell binding read I couldn’t put it down and completely tuned out everything around me i was so proud of Cassini when she put her foot down and continued to stay firm in her reasoning not to mention her take action moment saving Balto i really wanted to see how those two dealt with the new addition especially Balto but all in all it was a satisfying ending to a thrilling series
As the last book in the trilogy, The Skull Ruler did not disappoint. Balto and Cassini overcome so much, including an imminent threat to life and limb, and a persistent suitor to reveal the love they share. This series is an emotional roller coaster that leaves the reader breathless. My only wish is that we could have watched Balto go thru the life changing event at the end of the book( wink wink)! As always Penelope Sky delivers what her readers want!!
This book finished the trilogy up amazingly! Penelope is a great writer, and she knows how to make you feel as if you are the characters that your reading about. Brutus and Cassini are the perfect couple!! I just wish there was a longer epilogue!
Penelope Sky is a writing genius! I love all the characters in the books she makes you feel like your there experiencing all the high and lows with the characters. This book in the series is my favorite of all three I feel like it ended well answering all my questions I wish it wasn’t the end though. I recommend to read all her books!
This is the third book in the Skull Kings. This is a page turner, edge of your seat story! A must have book! Once you start this one you will not want to put it down. Cassini and Balto have some huge obstacles to overcome in order to have a future together. Will they make the necessary sacrifices? Can love conquer all? Can their love survive the denial, betrayal, duty to the Skull Kings, revenge, regret, resignation, and more? You will have to pick this book up and see how it all turns out! It is worth the sleep you will lose because you just have to see what comes next for these two! Their relationship will take you on an emotional rollercoaster ride. There were times in this book I would l have loved to smack Balto for his stubborness and say get your head out of the sand. These two have chemistry that is blistering hot! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance copy of the book from the author. I can not wait to read more from this author!
After the last cliffhanger, this story had so many different possible conclusions and the author NAILED it!
Rescues, revenge, regret, resignation, and redemption are a small fraction of what you’ll find in this book. The characters are fantastic and have such depth that they seem real. The first half of the book is dealing with the fallout of Balto’s decision at the end of The Skull Crusher. The second have of the book is dealing with Balto’s promise to free Cassini. The story only slows as Balto struggles to pull his head out of a dark cavity but is brings an even better understanding of Balto’s character. This freakin’ story had me crying so many times that I actually had to put the book down before I could continue (afraid of what was going to happen next). A great conclusion with an epilogue (I totally love when an author gives us an peek into the future of our characters lives) that gives us a wrap up that leaves us with no obvious loose ends.
I purchased this book from another retailer (sorry Amazon) and wholeheartedly recommend this author’s work. I have read the Buttons, Scotch, Lingerie, Banker, and this series and all are fantastic reads (even if they are serials – and I hate serials).
The Skull Ruler was an awesome book in this trilogy and the conclusion of Cassini and Balto’s story. This book had more twists and turns that kept my heart pounding. I will really miss them. I especially loved the epilogue. It was so adorable. But this series was just awesome. All I can say if you haven’t read anything by Penelope Sky than you our missing out on an fabulous author’s books and this one was spectacular. Again, BRAVO to you Penelope on another great series and looking toward your next one, Looks really interesting and different but whatever you write I will read.
The Skull Ruler by Penelope Sky was hot, steamy, sexy, and emotional. It is a page turner and you won’t put it down until you finish it. I highly recommend this book and series.

The conclusion in this absolutely amazing series but, then again everything Penelope writes is amazing. With each book, it keeps getting better and better. You will not be disappointed. Eagerly anticipating her next new series.
Skull King & his Queen
This conclusion was everything and more. It was antsy, emotional, steamy, had some moments that took my breath away. I had to put down my tablet for a few seconds to breath and let it all sink it….but I was also on the other hand too excited to find out what would happen next that I had to pick up the tablet again.
I am sorry this trilogy has ended but it was soo good. Penelope is really one of my favourite authors.

I’m so sad this series is over. As per usual amazing ending!! I loved Balto and Cassini. They are an amazing, dynamic couple.
This story picks up right where we left off from the second book. Balto is forced to make a decision and what to do with Cassini and Lucian. The story progresses from there and so does their relationship. Without putting any spoilers in here there is quite the twist towards the end of the story and we get to see the real side to Balto. As per usual with this author stories you will get sucked into this book from the very beginning. This book is also extremely steamy!! Loved Balto and Cassini’s story. I’m so sad it’s over.
The Skull Ruler is the final book of the Skull King Series! After the way the second book ended I could hardly wait the entire month to get the rest of the story! We continue with Cassini and Balto and pick up right where book two left off, Balto had just decided that he couldn’t give Cassini back to Lucian no matter the reward.
As we know from all the previous books Lucian isn’t wiling to give up Cassini without a fight, but Balto vows to fight to give Cassini the free life she deserves. In this third installment, we really get to delve deeper into Balto’s life, and how he ended up being this cold and calculating person. Cassini in this third book becomes even more of a badass than I ever thought possible, lets just say you’ll know when you get to that point in the book!
We get to see more of Cassini’s siblings and how they truly would do anything and everything in their power to make their sister happy, while also protecting her above everything else. I always love getting to delve deeper into these characters and learning more of their stories and while some of them were heartbreaking, it just makes you love them even more!
As always this book is full of suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat, always questioning what’s coming next around the corner, plenty of steamy ones, at times you’ll feel like your heart is bursting with happiness, and they might get their happily ever after, and maybe even a few moments that will make you cry! I can’t wait to see what’s next with The Wolf And The Sheep!
