Balto pissed me off so much in this book I wanted to jump through the pages and strangle him but in true Penelope fashion, once she rips your heart out she puts it back together and Balto redeemed himself for an amazing HEA! Penelope is an amazing writer and this book (the whole trilogy) didn’t disappoint! Can’t wait for the next Penelope Sky book!
the final book in this series and it is by far the best! all the answers you seek and all the action you could want. redemption, revenge, truths, rescues, and truths this book contains and revelations come to light. once you open this book you wont be able to stop reading till the end!
Ahh…the story of Balto, The Skull King, and Cassini, ends in this fabulous series. These two characters are so fierce. Balto saves Cassini from Lucien and now all out war is going to happen. But when and how? And as the days pass, Cassini becomes more and more fond of Balto. She senses he feels the same but will not admit it. Does Cassini and Balto get their revenge against Lucien? Does Balto admit his true feelings? Everything happens and I loved how it all played out. Another fabulous series by this very talented author.
Great conclusion to the Skull King series. The characters of Balto & Cassini got better with each book. In the first book I was a little disappointed but with books 2 and 3 the characters became more in depth, and the story rich with everything we expect from Penelope Sky. Another sexy, romantic suspense series winner.
I am heartbroken that this is the end of the series. I loved every book in this series Balto and Cassini are amazing.
I loved Balto and Cassini, throughout the whole Skull Kings series. Their banter, their chemistry, the passion between the two is fire.
As with all of Penelope Sky’s end of series, I wish it didn’t end. I’m not going to give anything away, as I dont want to potentially spoil it for anyone. All I will say is – READ THE SERIES!

I’m really going to miss Balto and Cassini and so sad that this series has come to end. As always there plenty of action, intrigue, and of course steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end. I will say that I was kinda disappointed about the ending. I was expecting a lot more than what we got. I didn’t like that Balto had to sacrifice so much of himself to be with Cassini a badass Alpha male like Balto made into a suburban dad just didn’t add up for me. I was also surprise that Heath fell into his role as Skull Kings so quickly without any repercussion. What happened to Vox?? I was expecting him to at least challenge Heath or come for Balto. Overall a enjoyable and entertaining read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Penelope did not disappoint in the conclusion to the Skull King trilogy. Cassini has tried to move on from Balto, but there’s a problem with that. Balto has tried to move on, drinking excessively to forget, losing interest in all that was important to him until he could take no more. When he sought Cassini out, she was with another man, which is not acceptable. What will Balto change to get her back? This conclusion was perfect, much like this series!
Loved the whole series. Penelope has a true talent of getting us to fall hard for the bad guys! Her descriptions of the characters are so well done that I can visualize every detail and feel as though I know them personally! I always enjoy Penelope’s books and will continue to read anything she writes!
As Balto drives Cassini back to his compound she cannot help but think Balto has saved her life and will keep her with him. Could she hope for love?
Balto is a pragmatist. Keeping Cassini is not possible while he is The Skull King. Once he made the decision to be King, he also knew he would never be able to have children or a wife. Too dangerous to have someone his enemies could hurt and so hurt him. No matter what emotions he feels for Cassini, their relationship is at an end. All that is left is to ensure Lucian will never come after Cassini again. She deserves the life she dreamed of: a house, white picket fend, and children running around in safety and love.
As you can expect, Lucian will never give up getting Cassini back. As Balto and Lucian fight this out and strategize each other’s downfall, Cassini is left hollowed out knowing she must give up Balto once he sets her free.
The plot explodes fast and furious as these men plot their demise. I felt bad for Cassini. Will she get a break and end up with someone who will love her and keep her safe? Do not miss the conclusion of the Skull King!

What an amazing way to wrap up the “Skull” series! It was so painful to watch Cassini’s and Balto’s interactions. I was hurt by how cruel he was to her. Just when she was ready to piece her life back together, it hit him like a ton of bricks. Balto thought his life began and would end as the Skull King. He never wanted a wife and, definitely not children. These things only made him weak, until he thought he’d lost Cassini and the baby he realized she was carrying. It became crystal clear. This was the most romantic declaration thus far. Balto gave Cassini everything she wanted to hear, plus more. It was a tearjerker for certain and the epilogue gave us a peak into their very happy future. Well done, as usual. I’m sad to see them end, but everyone got what their hearts desired.
The Skull Ruler is book 3 in Penelope Sky’s newest Skull Series. Wow…just wow…this book was the best book in the series! Cassini and Balto’s story in book three continues with Balto’s refusal to return her to Lucian. While Cassini has hope that this means a new turn in their relationship, Balto has other ideas. This book was action packed and so angsty. There was very little down time in the book. We still get a great storyline with some very sexy scenes. After all, what kind of Penelope Sky book would this be without the alpha tendencies and hot love scenes? But I know the question everyone is dying to know is, will they get a HEA? Well you know I can’t tell you that. What I can tell you is, this story has a major twist. It also will have you wanting to slap Balto. Stick with the story and trust that Ms. Sky will take you on a great journey.

We pick up right after book 2 ended and I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the conclusion to this twisted tale.
In typical fashion, this book is full of suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. There are plenty of steamy moments and you will be dying for their HEA.

Sometimes it seems the happily ever after just isn’t going to happen when when the couple so deserve it. As usual Penelope delivers a twist that we weren’t expecting. The Skull Kung loves his Queen, but due to his past he is afraid to express it which leaves Cassini to believe it is over with no hope. This story shows no matter the pain it may subject you to, be honest and you may get the response you never thought you would receive.

Holy crap – I was not ready for this one. Where the first two books in the series were hard core chess matches where money and power were the main focus, this installment in the series has a different flair. Lucian, Balto and Cassini are still in a take all and end all storyline, but this time the reader is also privileged to see the emotional breakdown of all the characters. The hard show their true feelings and the reader is left in such a great place. This was the best book of the series!!
You did it again Penelope you wrote a breathtaking series. I don’t understand why men don’t like to show their feelings. So Happy that Balto finally realized that he loved Cassini and he couldn’t live without her. Even she told him the baby wasn’t his. But when she finally told him it was his feelings for her were strong. Cassini is a bad ass woman risking her life to save Balto by going to her house and disarming the bomb. She provided to Balto how much he meant to her by doing it. Then by put the bomb on Lucian and blowing him up with the house. Now she has her happily ever after. Can’t wait to read more of your books.
I enjoy everyone of Penelope’s books . Every book she writes is as good if not better than the one before. Many elements are the same of her past books but she always draw you in with new characters even though the story lines are extremely similar. This final book was a wonderful ending to a great series. Looking forward to Penelope’s next series.
This book did not go how I expected! I loved every second of this series! I love how captivating the characters are and how unexpected they turn out to be! This one was by far my favorite of the 3. The huge twist caught me by surprise and made me want more!
I always love a book with a strong woman in it. I hate to see this series come to a end. It does have equal amount of romance and action a drama.
An amazing conclusion to this series! I love these characters. I will miss Balto and Cassini. Revenge, regrets, and redemption are just a few things in this book that pulls you into this story. This author is so wonderful at captivating me with her books. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES!
