Notorious Nora Sutherlin is famous for her delicious works of erotica, each one more popular with readers than the last. But her latest manuscript is different — more serious, more personal — and she’s sure it’ll be her breakout book… if it ever sees the light of day.
Zachary Easton holds Nora’s fate in his well-manicured hands. The demanding British editor agrees to handle the book on one … one condition: he wants complete control. Nora must rewrite the entire novel to his exacting standards — in six weeks — or it’s no deal.
Nora’s grueling writing sessions with Zach are draining… and shockingly arousing. And a dangerous former lover has her wondering which is more torturous — staying away from him… or returning to his bed?
Nora thought she knew everything about being pushed to your limits. But in a world where passion is pain, nothing is ever that simple.

My first Tiffany Reisz read. This started my love affair with this wonderful author.
If you’ve heard of this series & haven’t read it yet DON’T WAIT any longer. I want to kick myself for waiting so long. Be prepared this is not a warm & fuzzy BDSM story. While there aren’t many explicit sex scenes the ones that are written show the more brutal side of the BDSM world. TR’s writing is smart & full of whit. This book will have you laughing, crying & routing for all the characters to find happiness even though it’s not entirely possible.
– “Broken love is the most dangerous love. It will slice you open with every touch.”
“The same wind that blows us off course can turn and carry us home.”
First off, this is not your typical HEA erotic novel, nor for the faint hearted.I have learned that not everyone is going to love this book in all of its dark and raw beauty, I have had people look at me like I have grown two heads at my response to this book. This doesn’t just skim over the top of the BDSM lifestyle, it slices it open and digs deep into the core, dragging everyone out of their comfort zone. Some have said it should come with a Safeword, I would have to agree. With that being said, this book is real, heartbreaking, and painfully intense with extreme ‘fuck hot’ S&M sex scenes, it will have you wrapped around the end of Mistress Nora’s crop begging for more from the start.
I met Nora by chance, honestly, I saw the cover at a local store with a bunch of other BDSM Erotica and it stood out, I thought “Damn they are some hot tied up ankles” so I grabbed it, best thing I ever done.
Where to start with this… I guess with the Siren herself, Nora.
“S&M is as psychological as it is physical and sexual, Zach. Imagine being as deep inside a woman’s mind as you are inside her body.”
Nora, the confident, quick-witted, dripping with sex appeal, brutally honest best selling infamous Erotica author who jumps off the page and demands your attention from the first word. Men and women alike fall at her feet, literately. Did I mention she is one hell of a Dominatrix? Well, she is The Dominatrix of NYC, and in my opinion, a bit of an S.A.M (Smart Assed Masochist) to boot, well for one man only, Her Priest (I will get to that sexy Danish Sadist soon enough). It doesn’t matter how you take her, the Mistress of the underground, the submissive, the infamous Nora Sutherlin or simply Eleanor, she is one beautiful mess who is on a journey of finding where she truly fits, sacrificing her own happiness for that of everyone she loves.
“I know people think erotica is just a romance novel with rougher sex. It’s not. If it’s a sub genre of anything, it’s horror.”
Nora gains a new editor, Zach, a more reserved British editor, who has the final say in the book contract she is working so hard on getting, the problem? He doesn’t want to work with her, so gives her a ridiculous 6-week deadline to come up with a complete novel that he approves, or he won’t sign the book contract.
He is separated from his wife of 10 years, the love of his life, and as moved from London to New York to pursue his career. He becomes well-known as one of the toughest but best editors that Royal House Publishing has. He also has been given the nickname, London Fog, for his cold and detached attitude.
Zach does play a relatively big part in this story, but his character isn’t as catching as the others, but he is still a wonderful addition and a great play thing for Mistress Nora to bait at every chance she gets.
The sexual banter between these two as they both try to gain the total control over their newly found partnership has you laughing at every turn.
“What’s your favorite position?”
“I usually play winger.”
“Zach, I adore you, but you can’t make soccer jokes during phone sex. It just isn’t done.”
Moving along to her Wesley…. The innocence in Nora’s world.
The sweet, gorgeous intern that Nora couldn’t leave alone.
The 19-year-old Catholic virgin worships and loves Nora despite not agreeing with her choices. The country boy’s devotion for Nora is so touching, and heartbreaking at the same time, watching these two is a devastatingly beautiful thing. Beautiful for the love they have for each other and devastating for you know it can not be…. Or can it?
“It’s not morning until you’re awake. And it’s not night until you’re asleep in your bed under my roof. And I could go on and on but hope is a horrible thing, and I love you too much to give you any.”
And Søren…. This man has caned my backside and rendered me happily to my knees.
The highly respected and well-loved Catholic BDSM Sadistic Priest.
Yes, you read that right, he is a BDSM Sadistic Priest, not something you would expect to read about, but once again, Mistress Tiffany has outdone herself and gone where no one would have expected, and this book is better for it.
“He’s sexually aroused by inflicting pain and humiliation. And he’s phenomenal at it.”
Søren has been Nora’s Priest and guardian of sorts since she was 15 years old, and has loved her since the beginning. He is the love of her life, the S to her M, their D/s relationship progressed from the time they met where she willingly submitted to his every desire, her one, and only true Master.
Now some with argue that he may have abused his power as her Priest, but I can not agree. Søren wrestles with this feeling with Nora or Eleanor to him, and his calling at the church, Nora selflessly sacrificed her wants for him, ending their 13-year relationship, thus becoming, Mistress Nora.
“If you come back to me,” he said, making a rare concession, “will you run or crawl?”
The sex scenes in this book aren’t as many as one would think, that isn’t saying that I was disappointed. Most of the books I have read classed as BDSM Erotica deal with light to medium levels of BDSM. Not this book, this is hardcore, heart pumping, pantie dropping and down right exquisitely breathtakingly brutal.
“He saved up her pain, counted it like currency and the more pain she endured, the more pleasure she could buy with it.”
Sleep? I forgot to do that while reading this book, I devoured it in no time at all, and wish I hadn’t been so greedy and made it last a little longer.
From the first word I fell to my knees at Mistress Tiffany’s feet, and by the dreaded last word, I was still there, at her mercy.
Sleep can wait a little longer, up next, Mr ‘Fuck hot” himself, Griffin in
THE ANGEL
Read this and you are hungry for the rest of the series.
Impossible Love…Truly “Impossible”
I know I have been late to the train with reading this one and it has not been a moment too soon for me to have selected it at last for a read. The first word that comes to my mind after reading “The Siren” is “lush”. What I mean by this, is that the narrative is lush in its language, ideas, varied and eclectic references to philosophy, religion and literature. I was fascinated with author’s literary technique of using a mise-en-abyme which is to say, a story within the story.
This story within the story is the main character, the writer Nora’s chance at transcending her genre of erotic romantic fiction and write a story that does not rely so much on its salacious nature but a story that has literary merit. To this end she has a new respected publishing house and an editor of fine reputation who agrees to edit her book if she follows his directions explicitly in rewriting the book in six weeks.
This taciturn editor, Zach is nursing his own emotional damage from a marriage to a woman with which he truly is in love that is slipping away from him. He has left her in England while he is briefly in New York on his way to LA in six weeks. Nora is a fearsome beautiful sight to behold for Zach and he cannot help but be attracted to her in her open and frank devil-may care way of being.
Her reputation precedes her as a rule. What he hadn’t expected is her keen insight and facile mind. He is mesmerized by her many charms and enticed by her ways. What he does not know is she is one of New York City’s top Dominatrix for hire and before she can let her writing support her, she needed to use this talent to support herself.
Wes is yet another man in Nora’s life who is in love with her. He is quite a bit younger than Nora. He is a virgin and a principled virgin as well. He knows mostly everything about Nora, her job and what she needs. They live together as roommates. Although there is a blossoming love and a burgeoning desire between them….they care deeply about one another.
Then there is Soren. He is the cause for the grief and soul deep pain that Nora carries in her being. He has loved her since she was sixteen years old and he waited until she reached her majority before he took her sexually. Her deflowering was not the usually patient affair…Rather she was prepared mentally and emotionally for the BDSM baptism into Soren’s life. She was to be mistress to a Catholic priest. Nora knew from the beginning she was destined to be Soren’s lover.
Soren is a beautifully sculpted specimen of a man, his body magnificent, his features angelic and his genetic endowments impressive. He is a good priest to his parishioners. He is intelligent, compassionate and insightful. Who can blame Nora from wanting all of him and not to share him with his duties to his parish, his church and God? She had to leave. It was an impossible love.
The plot revolves around the secrets Nora is keeping from her publisher and her growing attraction to him as a man, and the growing desire she feels for the man-child who loves her, Wes. The story she is writing mirrors one of three the threads of love Nora is holding to her. It also foreshadows the end of a love story.
This is a sexy. sexy read. The subject of sex is never left alone. It’s importance in one’s identity, the damage it can do…and the damage it can undo…wraps around the threads of these three men and their relationships to Nora. Interestingly enough for all the lascivious discussions, there isn’t a sex scene vanilla or otherwise that transports the reader. Perhaps, it is because this really is not a romance but rather a story about sex and love or more appropriately…sacrifice…no, I think it’s more like self-control, sex and love.
“…And although two people can love each other deeply, sometimes love alone doesn’t cut it. We can only sacrifice so much of ourselves in a relationship before there’s nothing left to love or be loved.'”
Soren, ever Soren is never far away, never not involved. He watches waits and advises. He presides over Hell to watch Nora, his Eleanor. That Soren calls his Eleanor a “siren” is a rare interesting insight into Soren’s character. He sees his Eleanor as a dangerous siren. Sirens according to legend, lure sailors to their death near rocky coastal waters with their siren song. Soren also saw danger in his Eleanor’s eyes…is this what calls to him? What demons does he exercise in his love of Eleanor, hers or his? Is it the impossible love?
I am always delighted to find a character that I would love to meet and know. To have six of them in one book was almost sensory overload, all complex and unique and wonderfully flawed.
