“Captivating, emotional, and sexy as hell, The Sins That Bind Us will stay with you long after you read the last words. Geneva Lee’s most stunning, powerful story yet.” – Melanie Harlow, USA Today Bestselling Author I wasn’t given a choice. Not when I did my first line of cocaine. Not when I became a single mother. But I changed, and every decision I’ve made was to protect myself and my son from … decision I’ve made was to protect myself and my son from my weaknesses–and my past. Until Jude came along and made me question everything, even my own secrets.
I shouldn’t fall for a man I met at a support group, but I find myself letting him into my life. But the closer we become, the more I have to lose. The sins I carry with me can never be discovered. Life handed me broken bits of people and left me to construct my own world, and it’s too fragile to take a chance on Jude Mercer.

Exceptional. So much truth is in the words of this book.
This is the story of Jude & Faith. They meet at an NA meeting. Their addictions aren’t the usual kind, but they are still addictions. Their paths to each other are so unusual. Such down deep emotional revelations come to light from both of them. As I read this story I was in such awe of their strength, and then, their unconditional love. This story is brilliantly written. I wish I had found it sooner, as the Royals Saga is one of my favorite series in my collection of authors’ series.
This was a little too dark for my taste
Good book. There were lots of twits & turns.
Great read, loved the characters
It was not what I expected and that is good thing IMO. I enjoyed it.
could not put this book down
Suspenseful! I was very interested in what was coming next! Very good read!
Very good story. I got somewhat confused partway through the story so after I finished reading I went back to the beginning and figured it out. The characters were wonderful.
This was a great read. Very good book.
Story is well built, has some surprise twists wonderful characters.
I would read it again. It was that good!
I truly enjoyed this book. I think the author did a great job developing the story and the characters in this story. A good read.
Amazing, easy reading. It took my breath away. Lots of tears. Agony and ecstasy. I so wrapped up in the story I wanted to hug the characters. Can’t wait for book 2.
Great story.
This was an unusual book, not at all what I expected, but I still enjoyed reading it. The book is also an honest work of fiction that depicts the impact that addiction can have on an entire family. I recommend reading this book.
Such an interesting book. It’s the story of twin girls raised by their grandmother after their parents die. One gets in with the wrong crowd and does drugs, etc. and the other gets hurt bc of it. A child is created. The story progresses to NA meetings where the h meets an attractive man and is drawn to him against her better judgment. She is more concerned about her deaf son trying to make a good life for him. He pursues her and tries to breaks down her defenses. Lots of twists in this story. Very well written
“Something about you makes me want to confess my sins.”
This isn’t an easy story but it is one that needs to be told. The Sins that Bind us is a heartbreakingly real story that many people can relate to. Even if I didn’t go through this myself I could relate to it. I think more stories like this should be told. I want to thank Geneva Lee for her courage to write such a difficult but very inspirational and uplifting story that I hope will touch many readers. Nobody is perfect and we just try our best to make ourselves and our loved ones proud.
“Face your past and then let it go.”
This story is about Faith who is struggling to let go of her past. She made a home with her son Max and best friend Amie. But she isn’t completely happy. The moment she meets Jude she feels attracted to him. The same goes for Jude. Jude is very mysterious and just moved to town. Their first meeting doesn’t go well. But they keep meeting each other and Jude worms his way into her life. At this time we still don’t know a lot about him but we do get to see more of Faith and what she went through. The flashbacks in between were very essential to the story, and even though they were heartbreaking, they needed to be shown to really understand were Faith was coming from.
“He snuck into my heart, and now he’s making himself at home.”
One of my favorite scenes in this book were the interactions between Max and Jude. It was amazing to see how they clicked right away. Jude was really good with Max. Also I loved the moments between Faith and Amie, she is this crazy best friend that pushes you to go out more and have fun. Amie has been such a great support to Faith, giving her a job and having her back all these years. I also want to mention that Faith is such a strong character that hasn’t let what happened to her make her go a downward spiral. I also love Jude for not giving up, he understood where she was coming from and didn’t let her push him out of her life. He was there for her from the moment they met!
“He doesn’t sing the words. He promises them. I may be his Sunshine, but as I melt into his arms, I understand that he’s the reason I burn.”
There are twists in this book that added new layers to the book. It was done really well by the author. The writing was good, there wasn’t a moment that didn’t grab my attention. Everything fit well together. This is the first book I read by Geneva Lee but it definitely won’t be my last.
“Our sins bind us together. They don’t set us free.”
“We write our own stories.”
