I have all her books, get all her new ones and love this series.
I really like this paranormal series
Love this series, witty, strong family and noticing love early, yet build up the courage.
Thank you Wendy for such great books.
I thoroughly enjoyed the series. Love box sets so I don’t have to go looking for the next in a series if I enjoy the books and I certainly did these.
Loved the series read all 7. Wonderfully written. Would read them again.
Good
I just finished this collection and once again I was held in such a way while reading that I felt like I was there with the members of these two lovely families. Experiencing all the drama of their lives right along with them. Only a very talented writer has the ability to pull the reader in like Ms. Vella does. Everything I’ve read of hers has always been top notch.
The story plots involving these two connected families never gets stale, instead are something new and different each time. Of course we know what the outcome will be, but it’s what’s between the start and finish that has me in such a trance that I can’t concentrate on anything else until the end. I highly recommend this collection and anything else from this imaginative writer.
There is one downside however. Ms. Vella needs to replace her proof reader because from what I’ve seen they’re not earning their pay. There are so many errors in sentence structure, singles where plurals should be and visa versa, and inserting the wrong word. I noticed this mostly in the last story. It’s distracting but I kept reading anyway. I feel that after all her hard work a poorly proof read or poorly edited story is an insult to her talent and she deserves better. I hope she will replace this person with someone who can do a better job.
Thank You Wendy!
Love these series – I can identify with the characters, some romance, mystery, magic all rolled into one.
The concept for this series is original. I have now read all six books in the series. What I did found objectionable is the unnecessary use of “Christ” and similar expressions. What I did like about the series is how the men who were in the depths of “hell” and depravity turned their lives around and became worthy husbands and caregivers, not only to their families, but in the way they they redeemed themselves by providing for the downtrodden and less fortunate. Premarital sex is portrayed, but is somewhat redeemed by the characters marrying each other. Family loyalty is extremely important to the characters.
I have really enjoyed all of these books so far. Well written, great characters, not too much repeating, and one thing I really love is that the next book still mentions the characters from previous books, which doesn’t happen much.
A little predictable after the first book but pleasant reading
I only read the first one in the collection. The story was great, I was hoping I could recommend it to my teenage granddaughter. Then there was the horrendously long explicit sex scene. Very disappointed.
Wonderful continuation of the series.
It’s a pleasant read, entertaining and likable characters although the author would have benefited from proper editing.
With unexpected twists it was a rivitativing story throughout.
I was very glad to have the whole set as you just finished one book, only to want the next.
Wonderful development of characters and building of family
Different and interesting
Good solid romances
Loved this series!
