Why did I wait so long.
With all the reviews for this book there isn’t much I can say that hasn’t been said hundreds of times before. A little slow to begin but I love how things started to unravel and be revealed. Off to start book two bc I need to know!!!
FIVE SILVER STARS for Madison and Bishop !!!
Why did it take me so long to pick up this book?!?!?!
WOW!!!
THIS BOOK IS TRUE MIND-BLOWING!
Ever since I read “In Peace Lies Havoc”, I knew that Amo has a unique writing style, but again, she managed to surprise me with her creativity.
Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect from this book because I went into it blind.
At first, it seemed like a typical dark high school bully romance, but as the story went on I knew this book was so much more.
As I read, I kept trying to figure out all the secrets that were being mentioned throughout the book, but of course, I didn’t make it until the very end.
“The Silver Swan” is a dark high school bully romance with enemies to lovers trope which will keep you awake all night until you get answers to questions that run through the entire book.
Madison is a strong female character who shows her true face from the beginning by letting it be known that she doesn’t care about other people’s opinions.
Ahh, Bishop…
Bishop gave me a lot of headaches throughout the whole book and there were times when I really couldn’t stand him because of his behavior towards Madison.
But there were also times when his behavior towards Madison was different which is why I believe he isn’t a villain after all and that he truly cares about Madison.
Madison and Bishop’s relationship is very complicated throughout the book.
It experiences more downs than ups and eventually breaks into a thousand pieces.
If you’re looking for a mind-blowing book and you also love Amo’s writing style, this is the book for you!!!
Highly recommended!!!
P.S. I can’t wait to start reading “Broken Puppet”!!!

“I am neither dead, nor alive, and I’m not something little Madison can hide.
You will be dead by the time this is done.
The timer starts now.
The games have just begun.”
Well… Honestly, I don’t know how to rate or review this book!!!!
This is not my first rodeo with Amo Jones and honestly i know what i can expect of this author by now!!! And I know that in this book, the first book in the series, she gave us nothing!!! But I’m pretty sure that she is about to give me a huge mindfuck with this series!!!! And that’s why I have faith on her!!!
I love the crazy, twisted, confusing stories of hers!!! I love the darkness that she brings with them!!!
I’m a sucker for the mind fuck that this author can offer me!!!
So, buckle up and riddle me this….
“Hello Madison. You may not know us, but we know you. We want to play a game. Here’s what happens if you lose…”
What will happen when a girl is being thrown into the wolve’s den???
When everyone is warning her to stay away from the said wolves???
How will she react when everything that she thought she knew has been a lie???
Is there a person in this story that is not having his/her own agenda and that is not using Madi as a pawn???
“Why are there so many secrets?”
“In this world, secrets are weapons, kitty. It’s what stands between us and six feet underground.”
Well, this was a frustrating and fucked up story!!!
Yep, it was a little bit out of this world since teenagers are acting out beyond their ages, but hell!!! I have read so many books like that, that honestly, I don’t care about this fact…
Yes, I was confused and still am, but I’m intrigued beyond imagination and I can not wait to continue this wild ride…. I need so many answers!!! I need more like an addict who is craving his next fix. And that’s what Amo’s writing is doing me!!!
“I’ve tangled a web with the school bad boys, and now I have to unleash my claws to escape.”
Madi’s life changed overnight and her past is still getting in her way…
She is trying to forget but her reputation is catching up with her every time…
A new school, a new family, a new brother and a new friend surrounding her new life. Oh, and don’t forget The Elite Kings!!! The guys that she has been warned to stay away from them, but for a reason, she can’t seem to turn her stare away from them and especially away from their leader, Bishop Vincent Hayes…
But these guys are shady as fuck and she is about to start a wild ride full of lust, betrayals, secrets and lies!!!
How Madison is connecting with everything that is happening around her?? And what’s Bishop’s role in all of that???
“Don’t. Fucking. Run, kitty. You wanna know why?”
“Why?”
“Because I will always catch you, kitty and trust me when I say… I’ll always find you.”
I liked Madi very much. She had a hard life, but she wasn’t letting these cruel boys to intimidate her… She was tough but soft at the same time… She was a girl who knew what she wanted and she wasn’t backing down at any challenge… Of course, we don’t know if that’s always a good thing.
“I’m Madison Montgomery, and I thought I knew who I was. But I was wrong…
I’m the Silver Swan.
And now? Now I’m just the remnants of the broken puppet they all used me as.”
As for the boys??? I’m sooo intrigued by all of them, even though i still can not remember all of their names!!!
Bishop was dark and mysterious… Honestly, I loved that guy even though I’m not fully trusting him. He knows too much, but he is refusing to share anything and it’s driving me crazy, along with Madi.
These two were like gazoline with fire!!! They were explosive together and I can not wait to read more of their story!!!
“They are not the boys I suspected they were. They’re kind of monsters you warn people about. Not naive children, but adults. The kind who lie, cheat, manipulate, seduce and kill, just to get what they want. They’re the kind you run from.”
Madison Montgomery had to move to the Hamptons with her dad and new stepmom, she got settled into her house and started school all on her own because her dad and stepmom were out-of-town. Everyone at her new elite school are all whispers and rumors about the new girl and how her mother killed her father’s mistress and then herself. To make it worse, she used Madison’s shotgun to do the killing.
Tate is the first girl to befriend Madison and they become fast friends, Tate will become Madison’s ride or die type of friend. Nate is Madison’s new stepbrother and he’s also her babysitter, he keeps her where she’s supposed to be. Bishop is her temptation, and the sexual chemistry is blazing hot! There are so many twists and turns in this dark love-hate story that you never know where anyone truly stands.
Even after reading this book all day and stumbling to the end, I was still kept on my toes and sadly on a steep cliff. I NEED to read The Broken Puppet or It’ll bug me to death to not know what happens next. This book was a great introduction to the talented Amo Jones and her writing style!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Romance:
Heat/Steam:
Story/Plot:
World building:
Character development:
The setting: The Hamptons
The Hero(s): Bishop Vincent Hayes – One of the quiet ones in the Elite Kings Club. Immediately drawn to Madison, he is brooding, quiet, sinister and sizzling hot. He had a girlfriend that disappeared two years ago and hasn’t had one since.
The heroine: Madison Montgomery – a rich girl whose mother killed the woman her father was sleeping with before shooting herself, with Madison’s gun. Her father moved her to The Hamptons to start fresh after getting married to someone new. Madison starts the school at Riverside Preparatory Academy the first day. She comes home to meet her new stepbrother Nate whom she new nothing about. He is one of the ten guys in the Elite Kings Club who run the school.
The Love Story: Madison is curious about the guys and finds Bishop extremely enticing despite the way he just stares at her. They are intimate early on, but then she finds out it was just some sort of game.
I liked this book, though it was so utterly confusing. There were so many secrets and lies. The guys from the Elite Kings Club kept doing and saying things that hinted at dark and malevolent forces at work but they never explained what was going on. It also seemed that Madison was involved in some way or had some background that they knew about and she didn’t. It is all so mysterious!
I voluntarily read & reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts & opinions are my own.
Okay, so this book was a total page turner for me. I needed to know what the F was going on and really needed Madi to figure out all the secrets and they just keep getting thrown at us! Jeez! I love Madi’s relationships with not only her friends but with Bishop and Nate. I’m starting to get annoyed with the push pull, being nice and then mean but it’s part of the story and I think eventually it’s all going to make sense so I’m hanging in there for that.
My complaint and reason I gave 4 stars is that sometimes, in the most simplest of words, is hard to read. For example there are parts where time has moved forward but it’s not marked as such. So you have to kind of guess and put two and two together to figure out “oh this is the next day” or later in the day or a month later. So, I wish there would be a extra space or symbol to identify the switch. Some chapters do have this and some don’t. I noticed too that a few times she’ll/Madi says it’s days later but in a conversation it will come across as months. That type of thing throws me off but It doesn’t damage the story line it just messes with my minds eye while I’m reading.
This book is for sure a must read, I’m already into the 2nd book and really can’t get enough of it.
I did give it four stars ,but I have some mixed feelings about it.
I liked the mystery behind the King’s cult and I want to know more about it,like who they are and what is the Silver Swan.I want to know more about Madi’s past and how did she survive?
The characters, well there was a lot of characters in this book. Ten boys, and not all of theme had big scenes and three girls. I loved my girls, they were fun, a bit immature but nice, and not spoiled.
The boys-I love Nate’s playful side and Bishop’s stone cold gaze but-they were freaky in some scenes.
Considering that the theme of the book is pretty dark, I wish they were all older.
The romance-I am not a fan of this kind of romance-one where hero is so secretive and doesn’t know hot to deal whit his issues. It’s a toxic relationship between Madi and Bishop.
There are some scenes that were really stupidish(not sure if this is a word) and just ridicules.
Overall, I read this book in one day, literally one day and it is not as bad some are saying. Give it a try, but be careful cus while the characters are in high school this is more dark romance book(Which means a lot of immature people trying to deal with a lot of mature situations).
Do give this a try, I recommend it.
I arrived late to this party! OMG! This story has so many things happening I was glued to it! I am loving this series! I can’t wait to read the rest of it!
The Silver Swan by Amo Jones is an excellent combination of high school drama, secret societies and the darkness most people are in denial about. It’s about secrets & the rules of the rich and elite. How one girl, Madison Montgomery’s arrival at Riverside Preparatory Academy stirs quite a motion and ultimately, catches the attention & intense gazes of the boys from the legendary Elite King’s Club (to be confirmed). There’s lots of smouldering eyes, palpitating hearts, mood swings and a nice touch of sexiness. Games are played, hearts are broken and feelings are caught, but in the end, it’s the secrets & the mystery that ends up doing the worst damage.
The anticipation for this book has been both frustrating and exciting. The only obstacle in my way was time. And in that time, I made it worse for myself by obsessing over it. This author has been someone whose words have spoken to me on an extremely deep level. She knows what to write and how to write about it. Her characters are developed so profoundly you relate to them in all aspects & you forget that they’re exactly that, characters. All her books are some of my most favourite reads of all time and I expected nothing less from this one. While editing errors and organizational incongruities plague some latter chapters, many of the shortcomings of this first edit will likely be alleviated in the final proof.
As a blogger, I feel it is my duty to be honest. And in all honesty, while I absolute loved this book there were certain things that picked at me. After reading this book I was left feeling unsatisfied. Not because of the cliff hanger or the mystery behind the story and the secrets left buried. But because I felt like something (I can’t pinpoint it) was missing. The beginning of this book was a tad bit slow, it was the normal ‘introduction into a new school’ thing, causes a stir and catches the attention of a guy. With a few twists and badass comments, it wasn’t until about 40% where things started to pick up. There were a few events in the book that I saw coming before it even happened, and that’s if you pay attention to all the hints. And maybe because I’m just dead inside, I was hoping for it to be a tad bit darker than what it actually was. But to any normal person, this would be sick & twisted enough to send someone to the mental hospital. Despite these things, this does not at all diminish the author’s talent and the effect she indeed intended to have on her readers.
On to a more positive note, despite my own personal discontentment at some aspects of this book, there is also a lot of this book to LOVE. The romance element in this book is, for a lack of a better word; passionate. Not the kind of passion that sparks fires. But the kind that launches missiles. The kind that leaves you feeling filthy in the best way. To walk away from this book on not feel like you’re on the verge of some mental break down, would be rare because this book is dark enough to play with your inner beast. I absolutely LOVE the characters in her book. The Kings are sexy. They like to play games the only way they know how. They make their own rules and take no prisoners. And while they might seem unapproachable and intimidating, dare I say these Kings might have a little compassion in them. I really related to Madison in this book. Even go as far as saying I admired her. She’s someone I look up to. Someone I aspire to be. She’s strong, badass & brave and that mouth will definitely get her in trouble, but ultimately, she’s a girl with feelings. And when all the Kings want to play with her, how can she even think about refusing?
I’m not going to lie, there are elements and aspects in this book that will make you cringe, that will make you feel sick. There are things that will shock you silent and other scenes that’ll leave you wet and panting for more. The boys from the Elite King’s Club aren’t to be taken lightly. Everything they do is orchestrated before it happens. Everything has an ulterior motive. And it makes my head spin because you never know what’s real and what’s a game to them? Is it all a game? And while the plot twists in this book will most likely unhinge you, you’ll definitely fall in love with EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER in this book. I’m not joking. Amo has created characters you can’t even begin to play favourites on. And while this book may focus on two characters, Bishop and Madi, don’t think that the other characters aren’t playing a major part in this book. Everyone is hiding something. Everyone has an ulterior motive. And it’s when all these secrets come out that chaos erupts.
I can’t even begin to express how much I loved this book, despite all those minor flaws that are of my own personal opinion. Amo Jones has changed the game and created extremely high standards for everyone in the book community when it comes to dark romance. Y’all aren’t even ready for this book & I am excited for the complete disorder that will come upon this book community when it releases. It’s already everywhere on social media and the most talked about release & I am not ready for when it actually comes out. But that’s the way the Elite King’s are. They dominate, take what they want, crushing the opposition & expect absolute obedience. So if I were you I’d go and pre-order, one-click, recommend and review this book. It deserves all the recognition it gets and so does Amo Jones. Definitely a MUST READ! Praise to Amo Jones for unleashing the inner demons we all have inside of us with the Elite King’s Club! Can’t wait for the next book!
The book that changed my life.. and ruind me for any other auror sence
When I read this:
“I am neither dead, nor alive, and I’m not something little Madison can hide.
But you will be dead, by the time this is done…
the timer starts now, and the games have just begun…”
In the blurb, it was a yes, please…….! these books were so twisted with the darkness I was swept up with it Amo Jones is well known for her books full of twist and turns and heart-shattering truths, sex, and bad, bad boys.
I loved all the people in this book, they all had great parts, it was not only focused on madison but her best friends, I swear I’ve never been so invested in a book until “The silver swan”.
“In this world, secrets are weapons, kitty. It’s what stands between us and six feet underground…”
One of the darkest and most twisted stories I’ve read in 2020; Amo jones has this way of writing that makes you question your sanity, I don’t think I have ever came across this kind of writing and as a dark romance lover, I have to say I am obsessed with her books; this is a whole new level of dark.
Riverside Preparatory Academy is the new High School where Madison is starting a new life; the new marriage of her father brought a new home, a new school, a new stepbrother and of course, trouble…The Elite Kings Club. Just being near them is enough to gain their attention, one she really doesn’t want but what the kings want, they get…and they want her.
This book is dark so please don’t expect to read about romance, flowers or balloons with cute messages, Amo Jones is known for writing one of the bests plots in dark romance; if you’re feeling risky go ahead try this one, once you get a taste of her books you won’t go back!
I’m pretty sure I’m just too old for this book. It’s got obnoxious, privileged, rich, white kids. I was pretty much done by chapter 2. So, I didn’t finish.
What did I just read?! The Silver Swan has introduced the Elite Kings with Madison dead center trying to figure out all their secrets. I loved the book Madison started reading while trying to navigate her new step brother and his friends. So many things going on here and I just wanted more! I love Amo Jones and her twisted stories – going to dive into The Broken Puppet now!
ALL hail our dark and twisted queen! Amo Jones, per usual, totally F’ed with my mind and kept me turning page after page, swimming gleeful in this dark and twisted world while also desperately trying to unravel the complicated web she’s woven. I’m so into this DARK and deranged Elite world!
Our heroine Madi is off to a new bougie school after her family’s reputation is permanently tainted because her mother killed her husband’s mistress…and she used Madi’s gun to do it. So, here is Madi, troubled by her past and off in a new school, dumped there by her father…and who happens to be her next door neighbor, none other than her new stepbrother- that she knew nothing about.
The school is run by ten delicious men- the Elite Kings- who don’t act like high schoolers and are dark and dirty- just how Amo and I like it. OF course her stepbrother is in said crew, and Madi has captured the attention of all of these alpha aholes- and they go after her, hard (think murder threats, harrassmnet, etc). Of course, Madi and one of the kings, Bishop, start up a dark and toxic/disturbing relationship- again, just how I like it. SO much sexual chemistry and tension, so much emotional angst, and VERy dark steamy times- these two are a bomb waiting to go off, the love-hate spark just waiting to blow the fuse.
Like all Amo books- this book twists and turns and keep you on your toes. Amo’s plot progression is much like a wrecking ball- she goes hard and fast, so get out of its way and watch the beautiful destruction. Nothing is ever linear or clear – so you’re constantly trying to wrap your brain around what REALLY motivates these dark and devious characters as you try to untangle the complex knot of secrets and lies.
Amo has a penchant for writing somehow both idealized and relatable characters- dark alphas who have no qualms moving everyone around like chess pieces and spunky, damaged and often emotionally reckless heroines. Her characters are always intriguing psychologically and emotionally- even if they aren’t immediately likeable. Madi is both relatable and frustrating- I get why she’s a bit judgemental and seems a bit stuck up, she’s vulnerable and damaged and also trying to figure out what everyone else knows about her life that she doesn’t. And Bishop and the Elites- how does Amo always make me fall for seriously F’ed up toxic men?!
What I do know is that this book left me thinking for several days later- sometimes I was just like “man, that was dark” other times was “I can’t believe that happened” and often I was thinking “man, I need more of this.” I can’t wait to dive into Book 2- where I’m sure even more secrets await!
This Silver Swan was stunning! 5 stars
Wow, what did I just read?! Whatever it was, I loved it! I was intrigued at the beginning, then I became enthralled with Madison’s life and the Kings in it. Madison was a quiet loner but had a short fuse, and I liked her from the beginning. She was not used to having friends, and I immediately liked her friends Tatum and Tillie. Now to the Kings. Nate was the charming playboy, and he cracked me up. When he showed a little bit of vulnerability, he endeared himself more to me. Bishop, ah Bishop. Bishop was intimidating, broody, hateful but absolutely captivating. He was stone cold, but he became hot for her. He invoked feelings in Madi the first time he looked at her, and it escalated from there. I loved that she asked questions of Bishop and did not make it easy for him. Madi knows herself and knows that it’s hard for her to separate feelings from intimate times. Their chemistry was off the charts, so it was inevitable that they would both give in. When Bishop finally did let her in, stopped hating her and started trusting her, that is when this book really flew high for me. But Bishop has a lot of secrets, so what happens when some are finally revealed? A cliffhanger that shocked me, and now I can’t get to the second book fast enough! This stunning book was full of secrets waiting to be revealed and beginnings of love that had me enthralled until the last page, and I highly recommend it!
I have heard so much about this author so I got this book and its been sitting on my kindle for months now and it didn’t even end up being my first read by this author but OMG why did I wait so long to read this one. Another awesome read from this author. I was sucked in from the start and couldn’t put it down until I stopped. I ended up staying up all night reading.
So many secrets. So many twists and turns. This story will keep you formulating theories, asking questions and rapidly turning pages.
Madison and Bishop have an explosive relationship based on mutual hate but it develops into more. What was only supposed to be physical starts to have feelings. However, Bishop only speaks in riddles but swears their chemistry is real.
Nate love him, hate him love him again.
Brantley definitely needs a swift kick for sure. What the hell is his problem.
Bishop I love him but he had me back and forth like I was being slapped repeatedly with his mood swings.
As soon as I finished I just had to know what happens next so off I went and brought book two and started that straight away.
I got the audiobook and I can say it was phenomenal, this is a dark masterpiece story written my an amazing author. The story will have you reading all the way, the characters are mesmerizing and intriguing. There is everything you always love in this kind of books that makes it a favorite, you need to start reading.
This book is a mystery from the start! It takes us on a long ride as Madison begins her journey into the complicated world of the Elite Kings Club. She slowly meets each member and all have a mystery surrounding them. She catches Bishop’s eye and a wild times begin. This book is full of mysteries, sex, and parties! When Madison learns the truth of everything, the book comes to a conclusion with a cliffhanger leading to the next book in the series!
Loved this book! Holy crap! I love secret societies! It’s so intriguing. All the history and mystery, the secrets! This story so far is amazing! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
