What to say about Silver Swan…
1) You really need to read all 3 books consecutively. If you don’t, you will have many unanswered questions.
2) This is a dark book with a lot of head games being played. Again, it will leave you with questions, so continue on to Broken Puppet.
3) These are unsupervised high school kids that are living and making adult decisions due to the Elite Club that they are born into. Think Mob-like family indoctrination.
4) You will love the jerk of a main character, even though you know you should’t. He’s just all kinds of bad.
5) You must keep reading the series. Once I got to book 3: Tacet A Mortuis it was as if you could take a deep breath.
This book has a ridiculous cliffhanger. It is Dark and twisted with riddles and schemes. It is an evolving love story that was orchestrated from birth.
I would have never tried this author had it not been for a fellow reader insisting to give it a try and I didn’t regret it.
This series is so different from all the cookie cutter romance books out there! If you’ve got an open mind and want to be entertained then you’ve got to read these books!!
„But you will be dead by the time this is done. The timer starts now. The games have just begun.”
I have been totally shocked. This book is very exciting, stirring and so hot!!! Shhh….
Madison Montgomery is a rich girl who has become famous by the circumstances of her mother’s death.
She has moved lot of with her father until he took a rich woman to wife. Madison received not only a stepmother but also a sexy stepbrother who is one of the honorary members of the Elite King’s Club.
Even so Madison feels herself being in the trouble when she looks into the eyes of Bishop Vincent Heyes who is the boss of this club.
When truth will out and everything clears up she gets wise to a fact that nothing is what it looks like.
Family secrets, amazing places, blood-curdling true, hot nights. You will be part of this if you read this book.
If I were you, I would not leave it!
OMG this book is so good!!
Normally I have to write a review as soon as I finish a book, just so I can put down in words exactly how I felt reading the book, but Amo Jones has stumped me, I couldn’t write one, I really needed this story to sink in and really think what the f*** did I just read.
This book was a great book, I couldn’t put it down I needed to know what was happening, what was Nate about, what was bishop deal and then there was Brently, Saint, Cash, Hunter omg there was so much going on.
Madison, what a feisty, strong, sassy, intense character for a girl she really had it all going on and her inquisitive mind was just so fantastic and I loved that Amo wrote this character and kind of let’s us in on the secrets just a little at the time but as there was so much going on you got excited for when you found out what was happening.
Bishop well he was a god awful human being and was sure if there was ever going to be a time when I actually liked his character, there was no way, he was secretive, intense, a real prick but I could also see why Maddison was drawn to him but I was just like this would have to be a character that I just hated, but in saying that Amo just brings out the best in her characters and shit if I didn’t love him by the end.
This book you need to read especially if you have read Amo’s book before must read, if you like twisted, alpha males (lots), hot rough sex, and a bit of a mind f*** then you need to read this.
4.5 Stars
OMG! What have I just read? Don’t get me wrong, I loved it because it was so different to everything that I’ve read so far. I feel like I just stepped off a rollercoaster after a crazy ride; my head still spinning.
This was such an effed up story. I really didn’t know what was going on most of the time but I was so engrossed in it and couldn’t stop reading. I loved and hated it all at the same time. I mean, Bishop! And Nate! And all the others! Oh my, such beautiful creatures *sigh*. I loved all those different characters but what went down in this story left me speechless in the end. Now a lot makes more sense than before but not all of it has been explained yet. I can’t wait for the next book because this ending was killing me! Aaah! I need more! Give me! Give me!
The Story:
(I usually write something about the story in my review but in this case you just have to make do with the blurb.)
Just so much, Madison starts in a new school and you can imagine what kind of things that brings with it. Finding new friends, being noticed by guys and getting bitched at by the jealous and popular girls. This may seem like a common story now but the guys from The Elite Kings Club are anything but. So let your imagination run wild and find out what happens when Madison gains the attention of Bishop Vincent Hayes, the leader of TEKC.
Thoughts:
When I started reading this book, I did what I always do. I wanted everything to make sense and tried to get to the bottom of everything. But the thing is, that didn’t work here. This book was such a mystery and spoke in riddles. Just when I let go and kept with the flow (that totally rhymed haha) I became engrossed in this story and couldn’t put it down.
So, if you like the straight and narrow, then this is probably not the right book for you. But if you like to get lost in a book where nothing is as it seems and you love some riddles then be our guest and follow this crazy journey. It was totally playing with my mind, that’s for sure.
Not everything has to make sense, at least not in the beginning of a story and that’s where I always struggle – to give up my need to control and have it all figured out. Most books, especially romance books, are so predicable that you always know where the story will lead you. Not with this book though because you don’t know who to trust and who those people even are. You stay in the dark together with Madison at what’s happening.
Yay!! Finally a book where nothing was predictable! Lots of suspense and hot scenes!!
There were just a few things that kept me from giving this book 5 stars but I can’t tell you about them since it would spoil the story. But let me tell you that at first even though the story started out on a rather slow/normal pace, Madison found herself quickly surrounded by new friends and people that were all kind of fixated on her. I was weirded out a bit. They all became so close a little too fast for my liking but as I said, I tried to have everything explained and wanted it to fit in its boxes but it just didn’t work that way with this story.
At least the pace picked up later on and kept me on my toes.
Something that bothered me most was that Maddi was kind of fine with what happened and what they did. Mind you, I would totally freak out and wouldn’t be good with that at all because that’s not normal behavior. But ok. It’s all part of the story. I get it. And it made everything a lot more interesting. So, I probably talked in riddles now too because my review hardly makes any sense when I can’t explain myself away. But yeah, maybe it’s a small taste of how this book will be for you =P
This book messes with you in the best way.
Just when you think you have it worked out you don’t.
You know there’s secrets and something going on but wow it’s totally different to what you think. This story pulls you in and you don’t want to stop because you have to know what’s going on.
Loved the characters, loved Madi and loved the ending.
The ending is a totally WTF…..
“In this world, secrets are weapons”
Here’s the thing. I’m pretty picky when it comes to YA but I’m a huge fan of Amo Jones so I jumped right into this. BEST. DECISION. EVER. There’s so much drama and suspense that I literally could not put it down. I devoured the entire book in one sitting and let me tell you, it was a fucking crazy ass ride. This shit here, it’s fucked up and that just calls to me.
I don’t even want to recap or really tell you anything because I truly believe that you should go into this book completely blind. To experience this from the beginning and get the raw emotions that I did. So I’m just going to stick to specific feelings.
This was written so well that besides the times when Madison and the boys were in class, I completely forgot their age and felt like they were older. I was so engrossed into the drama and was always kept on the edge of my seat. Every time I thought I had something figured out, some new piece of information comes out and it turns everything upside down.
Bishop. That should be enough said but I’ll keep going. Brooding, sexy and a complete asshole. SIGN ME THE FUCK UP. Holy hell, that line between love and hate is obliterated. The passion between him and Madi, whether he’s hating her or loving her, is so freaking intense. I could not get enough of him. Let’s be clear, he’s a complete dick but deep down you know his feelings for Madi are intense and real.
“When the lights go out, and no one is about, will Madison scream, or will she pout?”
Everything about this is one big game. It’s dark. It’s intense. It’s captivating. I absolutely love this book and will recommend it to anyone that can handle slightly darker reads. It will definitely push your moral threshold and it will be well worth it.
Fantastic job, Amo Jones. Fucking fantastic. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one. I’m salivating at the thought of having that baby in my hands.
OMG, What did I just read I’m speechless here.
So I’m not gonna major rehash here as the blurb said loads.
I’m just gonna jump in and gave my overhaul on all that makes The Silver Swan (Elite Kings Club, #1) by Amo Jones some seriously sensational fiction. so here goes.
So we have our Madi here, a bit of an oddball, never quite fitting in, she comes complete with a shady past and a brand new step mum, who shes met exactly twice before.
Brand New student at the exclusive Riverside Prep school.
And also a Brand new stepbrother, The cheeky, cocky Nate.
Who daddy dearest has totally failed to mention.
And he then has the nerve to warn Madi to stay away from him as he thinks’s he’s trouble when he’s the one that’s left them both home alone together.
I mean he so deserves the shittiest dad award like for real.
And there are no parents like anywhere, I mean totally defunct are these caregivers to all the teenagers here.
These are some seriously sucky role models.
So Madi’s new school comes complete with ten alpha kings, which her new Bro is one of.
The (Elite Kings Club) rumours abound about this exclusive privileged little boys club, they rule the school and Bishop is the leader of this little posse and he seems to have Madi in his crosshairs.
So first this is not YA, discount the characters ages, this is definitely aimed at Adults.
there is a bit of everything here, creepy-arse rhymes, intrigue, mystery and some super steamy sexual shenanigans.
Though there’s no way teenagers are having sex like this if they are, where were these teenage gods when I was a youngster.
just an observation like, I won’t be marking it down or anything for this, that would be like cutting off my nose to spite my face.
So discounting our Elite Kings god-like bedroom skills, there are some great characters here some I loved and some I loved to hate.
If I had to pick favourites then Nate would be a front-runner his cocky, arrogant but super protective vibe towards Madi just really got to me.
Her two friends Tatum and Tillie coming in a very close second.
Though it became apparent to me that Tillie knows more about things than she’s been letting on.
At least that’s the vibe I got from her near the end.
So, The finale here, oh boy that was a bit cliff-hangerey.
I mean I need my next fix of this fantastic series like now, so pleased I haven’t got to wait as that would have seriously done my nut in.
As though we have some answers, there’s no actual resolution here and everything is just so darn weird.
With no real explanations at all.
I’m really hoping the next book provides more clarification to events as I seriously can’t stop thinking about this story and it’s driving me literally insane.
On a final note, the cover of this book is so visually stunning that would be enough to give this a try alone.
So if you want a series that’s going to fry your brain with questions give this a go its fiction at its finest and I devoured every word.
I was provided with a copy of “The Silver Swan (Elite Kings Club, #1)” By the author of which I have reviewed voluntary.
All opinions expressed are entirely my own.
** spoiler alert ** Really really liked it but I hate cliffy endings and now waiting for the next book. Its been a few hours so I wanted to add some more to my review. Even though I have tons of questions I don’t feel cheated the book was awesome. It did not drag, it was suspenseful, and it left me wanting more. I know I am going to read it again.
“His eyes are dark and brooding, just like him. Intimidating yet captivating. When our eyes connect, it’s like he’s shoved me through the gates of hell and locked them behind himself.”
Wow!! My mind is completely and utterly blown. So many times I re-read to make sure I wasn’t imagining things. Haunting, exciting, toeing the line of right vs. wrong, just magnificently captivating! Heat exudes from the pages, along with mystery and suspense, dying to find out all the secrets hidden within the words. The Author builds the story where you have no idea where it will go, but held prisoner by each and every word, held transfixed to find out the answers. So unique, and different from anything I’ve ever read, I will not miss any of this series going forward. Giving all the dark, disturbing, taboo, sexy stars on this one!!

OHMIGOSH! What have I just read… It was freakin’ awesome! This is the first book I have read by this author and WOW OH WOW what an introduction to her work! My head is left spinning. So many secrets, so many questions. I really have had a WTAF moment!
Told solely from Madison Montgomery’s POV… “This is all a game, kitty. And you’re in the middle of a very fucked up board.” Read the blurb, it’s all you need and if that doesn’t entice you to read the book, nothing I can say will change your mind. I’m not even going to re-tell any part of the book, there’s just no way I can do it justice without giving away any spoilers. From the very first page you’ll be sucked in. I love books that fuck with your mind and this book will leave you in a tailspin hungry for knowledge and answers. I am so out of breath after reading this. I wish I could say I could have a reasonable guess at how its going to pan out; NOT. A. CHANCE!!
It does finish on a cliff hanger… I say that like I’m surprised!! I will definitely be reading more of this author. Her style is laced with humour, she brings her characters to life each taking on a personality. OK enough… Just read the damn book!
***5 ‘Secrets’ Stars***
Can we say ‘Hello, Mind Fuck’???
Anyone? Anyone?
I’m serious. This book takes you all over the place, and though there are some things that you KNOW, there is more you don’t know. Or at least don’t know how they fit into the big picture. This happens a lot, not only with the mystery of just what the hell is going, but with the characters. Especially, the characters.
Now, if you’ve even glanced at one of my reviews, you’ll know I have a set way of doing things, but here…nope. Won’t be happening because I’m all over the place with this one and way too many thoughts on everything are swirling around in my head. The characters, all the characters, intrigue, fascinate and even disgust me in equal measure in their actions and the games they play. Even Madison, whom I probably have the most empathy for ~ at the moment anyways ~ isn’t necessarily someone I can say I truly like and yet I don’t not like her. And Bishop? I wouldn’t say I empathize with him, but I definitely want more of him.
But that’s the crux here isn’t it? You can’t help but continue to turn the pages because all the secrecy is driving you batshit crazy and you NEED to know what will happen next and after that ending I am definitely happy that I don’t have to wait for the next book, because yours truly may have been just upset enough to have tossed the Kindle into the freezer.

This book has messed with my head.. i really enjoyed it.
Really twisted story. great writing had me from the start and couldn’t put it down.
Can’t wait for the next book
This book messed with my head!!
Hatred has never sounded so good. The mystery and intrigue slowly built up until it got me to the point where my heart and mind were racing. So many questions I need answering. So many theories and reasons running through my mind. I kind of feel like Amo Jones took advantage of my complete confusion with this book. Every time I thought I maybe knew a little of what’s what, she pulled another twist out her massive bag of f**ked-up tricks and threw me off. I gave up trying to figure out how it was going to end and just held on and enjoyed the ride and I honestly loved every single second of it.
Madisons emotions and confusion are put across so perfectly that I couldn’t help but feel this bond with her. Her confusion mirrored mine. What is the truth? Does Madison know? Does anyone know what the truth is? Her inquisitive nature and sassy attitude and mouth made me love her that little bit more and of course the fact she is NOT a doormat is always a bonus (and kinda expected from Amo’s ladies). I’m not going into details about the other characters because you NEED to experience them for yourselves. I will say that I adored a few, I wouldn’t kick any of them out of bed, there’s quite a few I don’t trust, some I hated at times, one in particular I want for myself 😉 And sometimes I felt all that at the same time about the same person (again back to that particular one). I can’t go into the story because if you’ve read this review this far you already know I’m so far from figuring it out that it’s funny. The chemistry in this book is off the charts. I’m not talking about the actual nitty gritty scenes because we expect them to be hot. It’s the other sexually charged scenes that literally had my kindle smoking. The sexual chemistry between the characters is palpable, it will leave you slightly breathless, a little bit flustered and feeling very hot.
You need to buy this book. You need to lock your doors, feed your kids/hubby/pets, make them have an early night, and then you need to read this book. Pull an all nighter if you have to but you need to read and experience this book for yourself.
I really enjoyed this story. There were times when I was cussing out the characters and asking them directly why they were acting like little a**es but that was part of the experience. I love Nate and Bishop, having to decide between the two is quite difficult.
I really did not think that they story was overly dark. It has dark aspects but most of the story is focused on the relationships. I will say that I have NO idea who is the good guy, who is bad, and what the ultimate outcome will be.
This ended on a cliffhanger and I was so focused and engrossed in the story I bought, started and read the second book without a break after this one. I cannot wait for the third and final story to be released on May.
The characters are bold, well developed, defined and mysterious. Bishop is a mystery wrapped in a riddle and lost to normal. I LOVED him. Nate is the joker, but with a hidden depth and more mystery. The other “elites” are just as complicated and dark. What I love about Kitty (a nickname) is her strength and unwillingness to take s%#t.
The concept was really interesting, it’s just the way it is written that leads to unnecessary information and confusing scenarios. I’m currently trying to read the second book and I am still not sure what is happening.
I feel like the main character sometime soon as child like.
This story completely blew my mind away. I loved every single word, letter everything about this story. I was hooked right at the start, each page brought something new to the story and each person that was mentioned made this story shine that much more. I loved how all the characters chemistry really got along, blended really great together. I was sad to see this story end only cause I was falling for Bishop. He’s the strong alpha, quiet and dangerous all at the same time. Madison she’s this super strong and amazing young woman who takes everything thrown her way with such ease, makes nothing able to stop her or bring her down. I really loved her strength in everything she does. This story was one of those can’t stop reading need more right at the end novels. So worth the read I would love to sit here and tell you so many spoilers but this is one semi dark story I think everyone should read just the events in the story will make you go wow. Amo really out did her self with this story. Must Read!!! I’m Team Bishop all the way even if he comes off like you, want to stab him he’s worth that and so much more his dark side is what will draw you in so hold tight and get ready to go on one hell of a ride.
***I Received this ARC for free in exchange for my honest thoughts, I was in no way told what to write this is all me***
Fantastic book, read the first and second book in one day, and can’t wait for the last! Definitely recommend
