Griffin Hayes is the younger brother of The New York Otters captain Gavin Hayes, who feels as though he lives a little in the shadows. Not just the shadow of his brother’s fame or his father’s disappointment, but of his own expectations and the feeling that he owes someone to make the most of his life, but he isn’t sure how. Dive in and see the sparks fly in this fantastic, hard hitting romance.
This book gives you hope in a happy ever after. With great characters that have depth and history. This is a shorter story but you feel like you have known the characters and are rooting for them to get the happiness they deserve.
Low Blow – When Griffin was 16 a harmless punch led to a heart infection and suddenly he needs a heart transplant to live. It is a devastating situation to be in as you hope for a heart and at the same time you know that for you to receive a heart someone else has to die. Ten years later he still hasn’t gotten over the guilt, so he decides to meet the donor’s adult daughter.
Olive was 14 when her Dad passed away and she still feels a void to this day. She works as a mechanic out of her dad’s garage and was beyond shocked to see the recipient of his heart.
From the moment they met they had an instant connection and they both finally feel whole but is it enough to over the pain of the past?
This is an emotional story of appreciating every day and every moment you have with your loved ones. I have bought all these stories separately and I will definitely be reading the other books in the series.
I loved every book in this series. The bonus chapters in this box set were great. This is definitely a series you should read if you like hot hockey gods!!
I have been anxious to read the Shots on Goal series and I am loving that it’s all nicely put into a box set. I will be diving into the entire series soon.
This review is for Low Blow.
Low Blow is a quick and easy read about a man and a woman who have more of a connection than anyone could imagine. Griffin and Olive are dealt hard blows early in life. Their bond is instant once they meet. I love how they don’t waste time in getting to know each other. Their feelings are valid, and their moments together are hot.
The author brings in characters from previous stories, but Low Blow can be read as a standalone. Low Blow is easily a one sitting read so one-click it today.
Oh lord I loved this book!!! Even though I was crying in the first bit of it!! But even though this is a short read this book packs a punch. Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down and I really didn’t want it to end. I mean I’ll tell you right now how much I didn’t want it to end, you know those sucky people that take Stars way for stupid reasons like they didn’t want it to end ( not long enough) yeah if I was one of those people that is how bad I wanted this book to continue with Griff and Liv…. lol . And the connection that Griff and Liv have from the very beginning, gahhh I just love it, I just loved all of it. Most of the secondary characters I absolutely loved even the ones I didn’t played their purpose. I really can’t wait to meet them in their books. I highly recommend this book!!
This a review of Book 4 – Low Blow — This is such a good story. Both Griffin and Olive have been through so much. I loved the characters so much. You will need tissues to get through this story!
This is a great box set. Filled with great romances.
Here’s my review for Low Blow, book 4 of the box set.
Low Blow is a great fast paced quick read. It’s the 4th book in the series and can be read as a standalone. Told in both Liv and Griffin’s POV.
The writing is great and sucks you into the story.
Both Liv and Griffin are missing something in their lives. Neither knows what it is. Until Griffin walks into Liv’s shop.
I enjoyed Low Blow. It was a very quick read with an HEA.
I have read all the books in this series. Some I was fortunate enough to get an ARC for. and others I purchased because the series is that good. You will fall in love with all of them too. Trust me. It’s not all about hockey but definitely all the books revolve around it and have connecting characters. Definitely a must read.
