Newly turned vampire Bree Tanner lives in terror — and must find her way out of untold danger — in this pulse-pounding novella, a companion to Eclipse. Bree Tanner, a self-described “vampire nerd” first introduced in Eclipse, lives in terror in a coven of newborn vampires. She is a member of Victoria’s vampire army, and as that army closes in on Bella Swan and the Cullens, she finds her first … Bella Swan and the Cullens, she finds her first friend and discovers a truth about daylight.
While fans may know how it ends, they don’t yet have the full story: Bree’s tale of danger, mystery, and romance is one for the books.
It’s here! #1 bestselling author Stephenie Meyer makes a triumphant return to the world of Twilight with the highly anticipated companion, Midnight Sun: the iconic love story of Bella and Edward told from the vampire’s point of view.
“People do not want to just read Meyer’s books; they want to climb inside them and live there.” — Time
“A literary phenomenon.” — The New York Times

I think this is the 3rd time I’ve read this novella. I love the addition to the saga, because I just can’t get enough of this story and these characters. It’s really interesting to get into the minds of the newborns of Seattle and see just how that end of things was played out. One thing, it does truly make you sadder at the end of Eclipse that Bree could not be spared. You begin to feel for her and want her budding relationship with Diego to work out. So, it’s not the happiest of stories, but I did truly enjoy it.
A nice addition to the back story and great for charity!
good story i loved it
I’m one of the rare people who liked Twilight. Bree was so very minor, I don’t understand why she got a book. This book is about after Bree was turned. If this book had anything to do with Bella and Edward/Jacob, I woulda liked it better but I didn’t like it. Sorry I cared nothing about this character and didn’t wanna hear about her. If you listen/read it I hope y’all like it.
This was my second favorite book in the entire series! Well, it’s not really part of the series but the story was so well told – Bree Tanner would have made a great addition to the coven/family.
Nice addition to the series
Full disclosure – I enjoyed the Twilight series. With this said, I wish I had passed on this novella. I really was hoping for more but is just came across as blah. Very disappointed.
The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner is an amazing book with a little hint of romance between Bree and Diego, who is another vampire. The end was kind of sad but apart from that, it was an amazing example of a dual-timeline.
It was a short but well written ode to an unappreciated side character, but the sad ending is not for my wheelhouse so it only gets 3 stars from me.
i like that you got to have a deeper understanding and how and what Bree had to
face while she was a vampire .
she went so long without anyone until she meet Diego, and he was there for her and cared about her and loved her its a shame that she never got to have a happy ending .but at least we know more about her and a deeper understanding about what went on with Riley’s new born army. so to me i think Bree deserved a second chance of redemption and maybe just maybe bree would have been able to learn how to handle her thirst and just might have had a chance to be a cullen with a family its worth the read that’s my opinion whats yours? pls pls do read the book its worth it trust me
“4.5 stars” Bree Tanner only inhabited the pages of Eclipse for only a short while, but she left a big impression on me. I enjoyed learning more about her story even though I already knew it didn’t end well. I really liked Diego and Fred, too. A great story for Twilight fans that offers some new insights into the building of the newborn army.
Loved it
Unnecesary. That is what this book was.
I loved Bree her story fits in between new moon and eclipse I enjoyed this short read. I related to her a lot.
