Four lives knit together… There’s a little yarn store in Seattle called A Good Yarn. It’s owned by Lydia Hoffman, and it represents her dream of a new beginning, a life free from cancer. A life that offers a chance at love… Lydia teaches knitting to beginners, and the first class is How to Make a Baby Blanket. Three women join. Jacqueline Donovan disapproves of the woman married to her only son, … to her only son, but knitting a baby blanket would be a gesture of reconciliation.
For Carol Girard, the baby blanket brings a message of hope as she and her husband make a final attempt to conceive.
And tough-looking Alix Townsend (that’s Alix with an i) is learning to knit her blanket for a court-ordered community service project.
These four very different women, brought together by the age-old craft of knitting, make unexpected discoveries—about themselves and each other. Discoveries that lead to friendship and acceptance, to laughter and dreams. Discoveries only women can share…

The Blossom Street books are my favorites from Debbie Macomber.
It was very easy to read and very appropriate for the frame of my mind at the time. One of the books you can picture in your mind.
Love love all of Debbie’s books I’m never disappointed
This book is the first book in a wonderful series. Many wonderful characters, and the setting is a small town and a yarn shop. I highly recommend this book as well as the complete series.
Four lonely women from diverse walks of life become fast friends while knitting! Memorable and Heart-warming! I own the whole series!
Not my usual genre, but definitely a cute book with funny and original characters. Hard to put down!
I thought I could trust Debbie McComber to be clean. Apparently not.
I loved this book! I would read it again.
Love the author
Too bad some authors are so money hungry I will not pay $8.99 for any of her books as much as I would want to read the story too many free or, .99¢ books out there. To blow money on expensive books have a family to feed.
The author always send messages in all her writings
I have read this while series and loved each and every book. I love all Debbie’s books
Love this entire series.
I love this author. The characters are so real
Sweet cozy story with great characters! Can’t wait to read more in this series!
I’ve never read a Debbie Macomber book I didn’t like. She does not write steamy stuff but interesting relationships.
