Four lives knit together… There’s a little yarn store in Seattle called A Good Yarn. It’s owned by Lydia Hoffman, and it represents her dream of a new beginning, a life free from cancer. A life that offers a chance at love… Lydia teaches knitting to beginners, and the first class is How to Make a Baby Blanket. Three women join. Jacqueline Donovan disapproves of the woman married to her only son, … to her only son, but knitting a baby blanket would be a gesture of reconciliation.
For Carol Girard, the baby blanket brings a message of hope as she and her husband make a final attempt to conceive.
And tough-looking Alix Townsend (that’s Alix with an i) is learning to knit her blanket for a court-ordered community service project.
These four very different women, brought together by the age-old craft of knitting, make unexpected discoveries—about themselves and each other. Discoveries that lead to friendship and acceptance, to laughter and dreams. Discoveries only women can share…

Absolutely loved this and this storyline. The women came together for there love of knitting, but so much more transpired and developed. Connecttions formed, far beyond knitting class. Uplighting and supportive women. It makes you love them women in your life that much more.
One f my favorite authors, she has wonderful caring characters…..never want to put her books down.
I have read the whole Blossom street series and I love the inspiration in all the books and characters are so down to earth, great read.
Always enjoy her books. They are light and entertaining, a great beach book.
great series love this author
never disappointed in her books
As an avid knitter, I especially enjoyed this book and those that follow in this series. The addition of knitting patterns is a plus. You don’t have to knit, or know anything about two sticks and strings, to love this series.
Really enjoyed this book. This is one that will warm your heart and definitely hold your interest.
An inspirational women’s fiction book. The four totally different characters have bonded and formed lasting friendships in the most unusual way-through a knitting class. A very well written Debbie Macomber book.
Macomber always offers some inspiration and some interesting insights with her very entertaining and easy to read novels.
Loved it! Can’t wait to read the whole series!

I liked all of her Blossom street books
It is one of my favorite books! Read it a couple of years ago and it’s one of those that stays with you. When I saw the title, I immediately smiled, remembering Blossom Street and the people who work and live there. This is a book to read and then read again. Love her work! She always, always makes me feel good!
